Gillian Jacobs will recur in the upcoming fourth season of Girls, TVLine has learned exclusively.
Fresh off the cancellation of Community, the former Britta Perry will play Mimi-Rose Howard, making her first appearance in Episode 5 – which is curiously titled “Mimi-Rose.”
An HBO rep would only confirm that Jacobs will appear in Season 4, which premieres in early 2015.

I'm glad she picked up a good gig but not even the awesome Gillian Jacobs could make me watch this show anymore.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't even get passed the first few eps of season 1. The promos for the show makes it look good and funny but when you watch the actual episodes they feel meh
ReplyDeleteBy jumping ship that early, you showed much better judgement than I did.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Bruce. Not even Gillian Jacobs could convince me to watch Girls..
ReplyDeleteIt's weird. I watch the show but hate Hanna. Who is basically supposed to be the whole hook of the show. I like a lot of the surrounding elements but that character is just so loathsome. I mean, none of the characters are really desirable in any way. And that's sort of the point of the series. I think. I enjoy the hate-watching in this case, I guess. :P
ReplyDeleteI like her but I stopped watching Girls after the second season and haven't missed it one bit. I won't be going back for just one character.
ReplyDeleteHaha I watched two seasons but in my defense, I watched on the ipad while scrubbing the floor and doing dishes so I wasn't giving it my full attention! It really isn't good at all IMO.
ReplyDeleteI can hate-watch a show when there's a specific aspect, main character, or storyline that I absolutely loathe but I can't hate-watch something when I hate almost everything about a show. That's how I feel about Girls.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you here. I don't get how this show is critically acclaimed. They say it's realistic but I feel like its more of a hyper realized version of girls who have no idea what they wanna do in life, which is sad. At least Sex and The City had more positive elements about how things get better with age, Girls pretty much tells you youre fucked for life until youre not which is almost never in the shows case that is
