Gotham looks interesting, i did not watch the others. But it definitely looks promising. But i don't get the part where they say it isn't comic book world, the idea, the characters the stories are completely comic book related.
Wayward Pines looks creepy and could be good but still worried about M. Night Shyamalan's involvement.
Red Band Society: Could do with a good teen soap, haven't had one for a long time but then I remember Glee was a teen soap that started well and ended a mess. so who knows yet.
Mulaney: I like Mulaney's stand-up but this trailer ain't doing much.
Gotham: Like I said last week, looking forward to this one a lot.
Empire: Well hip-hop music ain't really my thing but ths looks more like a family drama. I might give this a go if it gets good reviews.
Backstrom: I kind of like Rainn in this, though crime procedurals aren't really my thing if its more character bases I might be into it.
Gracepoint: So I never watched Boardchurch because I had the ending spoiled for me. I may watch this though for Anna Gunn and because the ending is different
On thursday, and Hieroglyph sounds so good! I think it will replace Gotham when that is finished its 16 episode run, and then The Following will be at 9.
Wayward Pines: this was better than I expected. I thought it was gonna be a Twin Peaks rip-off, but it looks so different. I wasn't looking forward to this, but now I am.
Red Band Society: my favorite of all the trailers. This is definitely on my watch list.
Mulaney: not my cup of tea.
Gotham: looks so good, and I love that they are showing how the villains came to be who they are.
Empire: I'm not entirely sold on this, but I may give it a try.
Backstrom: even though it is yet another cop show, this looks interesting and hilarious. This looks like a really funny procedural, unlike the crap that is Mysteries of Laura.
Gracepoint: I love David and Anna, but I'm not so sure about this. I'm still gonna watch, but it looks meh.
Gotham- Nice to see scenes that were not in the trailer last week Red Band Society- Looks good. Might be a little bit like an ensemble version of Fault of Our Stars Empire- Great actors playing the two lead roles. Soapy drama with an interesting setting. Wayward Pines- Love the Sixth Sense and Unbreakable. Big proponent of limited event series but not sure if I will watch this.
Gracepoint-didnt get to watch yet the trailers are not working for me anymore
Wayward Pines - Way better than I expected. I'm not sure that I would tune in if it were going to be a full series, but I like the idea of beginning and ending a story in one season so I think I'll give it a try. It's got a pretty decent cast and could be fun.
Red Band Society - Not my type of show to be honest so I won't go there.
Mulaney - Looks like it has potential to be funny. I'm a huge Martin Short fan, but comedies often go quickly on Fox so I don't want to get too attached. I think I'll wait for the first few weeks worth of ratings to see if I give it a try.
Gotham - Still not sure. It looks like it could be cool, but it also has the potential to go full on procedural with a cheesy backdrop. Then again, that's kind of what Grimm has become at times, but I love that so I will probably tune in.
Empire - Taraji P Henson should have stayed on Person of Interest. Doesn't interest me at all.
Backstrom - Looks like the Finder 2.0. Probably not for me.
Gracepoint - I love both the leads and I watch my fair share of cop shows, but the way this trailer describes it makes it seem extremely un-unique so I don't see a huge draw. If it's a ratings/critical hit, I will probably give it a try.
Red Band Society: Looks awesome tbh, its a teen soap series it can be a really good one. Gotham: Again looks awesome too, it's a must see those are the ones i will be watching from fox
Wayward Pines- Very cool concept but it is M. Night Shyamalan, I will still check it out. Red Band Society- Looks absolutely amazing, I even think I like this one more than Gotham, I really hope it doesn't get cancelled, it has the potential to be the new teen show, and with The Fault in our Stars coming out, (and it is going to be huge) this one will definitely appeal to teens. Mulaney- Hmm, I was quite excited about this one, but the trailer was not good, I will watch it though. Gotham- AHHH So excited for this! This was my number one most anticipated show, but now I think either Constantine or Red Band Society takes it, but I am still looking forward to this. Backstrom- I'm not sure about this one, it looks kind of generic, but I want to watch it because of Rainn, he is really funny in the Office and is a good actor overall. Gracepoint- Looks quite good, a bit boring but David Tennant is one of my favourite actors and I am happy this is a limited thing, because I can't see them continuing it.
Wayward Pines looks interesting.. I might check it.
Red Band Society has potential..
I'm already sold on Gotham, just hope it's different enough than Arrow and The Flash.
Nice seeing Danny Strong on Empire's first look. Hey there, Jonathan. Taraji P Henson is a great actress and I love Timbaland's music but it's too soapy..
Wayward Pines - Looks good and has a great cast... but M. Night Shyamalan is involved so I'm instantly afraid this will be horrible. Backstrom - Looks decent enough and I like the cast (even though they shouldn't have recast Mamie Gummer) so I'll check it out. Gotham - I'm glad to see they put some humorous flourishes in there. The show was looking a little too stark. The Rest - no interest at all.
Shyamalan's 'twists' that stopped being compelling a long time ago, his difficulty with writing decent dialogue, his nagging insistence in making almost of his projects heavily allegorical and sometimes equally as preachy, and repeatedly casting himself in his films are all regular grievances among people familiar with his films.
Red Band Society was on my radar but now I really want to watch it. It looks like it could be a really charming yet serious show.
I'm going to sample Backstrom solely for Rainn Wilson but I don't have high hopes for it.
Gotham is right up there with Constantine and the Flash as my most anticipated new show. It looks absolutely phenomanal.
I can't view the other ones yet but Wayward Pines could be hit or miss, Empire could be something great, and Gracepoint has my attention because of Tennant.
He's one of these hit and miss directors who's produced far more misses than hits of late. His movies always tend to have a very slow insidious build with the promise of an amazing reveal at the end. But unfortunately, the reveal tends to be a let down. In his best movie, The Sixth Sense, this style worked brilliantly, but since then, I feel like he's been trying to recreate the same type of surprise with his other movies, without success. Personally, I thought The Village and Unbreakable were decent movies with interesting-enough reveals (but not as good as sixth sense) and the concept of The Village was interesting. However, I've hated everything else he's done, because the main problem is that he relies to much on the ending of a movie to justify the rest of it. So I could envision a TV series begin difficult for someone like him to pull off. People also dislike that fact that he Hitchcock's himself into every thing he writes. That doesn't bother me that much, but I guess there is a certain arrogance about it!.
Wayward Pines is the only one in this lot I will check out. I don't hate all of Shymalan's work, but can understand the fear. (But Hieroglyph may be another FOX show I may also consider)
Gotham: Im a huge DC fan , loved the batman movies so gotham is a must watch for me also it looks amazing.
Gracepoint: Never watched broadchurch so i think i will check out gracepoint , also it has Anna Gunn and David Tennant which is a bonus.
Backstorm: Doesnt interest me at all.
Red Band Society: Looks like it could be good so will watch the pilot.
Wayward Pines: It looks interesting and has a good concept , the only problem for me is that M. Night Shyamalan is involved and after seeing after earth well...
Havent seen the other two trailers as their region blocked but based on the descriptions of the shows i doubt i will enjoy them.
Will be watching just Gotham from the FOX's new shows.. It's really disappointing, same thing happened on NBC, just 1 great tv show there too (Constantine).. Hope CW,ABC and CBS will have some more good shows to watch this fall.
I agree. I think The Village and Unbreakable were decent but The Happening was one of the worst movies I have watched in my life. At least the expectations for this show are low.
I think Gotham will be different because there are no superheroes and we will see how Gordon and the Gotham police try to keep the city from falling apart.
It will take me a while to get use to David Tenant American Accent lol. I loved him on Doctor Who and didn't see Boardchurch either but i'm curious is his character on Gracepoint gonna be healthy or diagnosed with a sickness?
from hollywood reporter liveblog "Before the theater gets that clip, Reilly rolls out trailers for Hieroglyph (looks a lot like The Tudors set in Egypt ... with a vampire?)"
I am dying to see all of the trailers. Even JtV. I already want to know if it is going to be funny like HOD or pure drama. The Messengers really made a great impresion with that amazing Key Art & iZombie+ Flash are my favorites for this year since the beginning. When they are out i cant even decide which to watch first :)
Also i am dying to know which of them are going to start in fall. I would love for all of them to start in fall, but that would mean sending Reign to Fridays and i am not cool with that, since it has to survive to season 3 so it can get season 4 for syndication
I can see only 4 , but quality and sound of Gracepoint are terrible so i will wait until tomorrow.
Red Band : Looks great, i did not expect to like this, but i will watch now Backstorm : NO NO!! Gotham : Maybe. So it will be like detective shows, with new case every week or is there going to be a storyline with main characters? Is Catwoman series regular?
Yep... Wayward Pines and Hieroglyph were a couple of the ones I had the most excitement for, and we haven't even gotten a trailer yet for either one. Lame.
RBC looks pretty great, and even though I enjoy many dramas that aren't "weird" in some way I rarely get excited over them. But I'm pretty excited to see that one. And me too re: Hieroglyph, the links are all non functional.
Thanks for the trailer, just saw it. Red Band Society is something that was on my list, but the trailer was so different, I didn't expect the kid to be in a coma, narrating. Drama's for me can be ok, but things like RBS and Hieroglyph excite me for the premise, I really like Egyptian mythology.
That very weird moment when you realize that "Red Band Society" is the exact same show that is airing in your country right now, named "Pulseras Rojas"
To answer the poll: I voted for all of these. The ones I am truly stoked to see and will most likely watch them all no matter what: Hieroglyph, Wayward Pines, and Gotham. Red Band Society I am really looking forward to, and will probably give the first three episodes a shot to determine if it's something I will keep up with weekly or marathon after the season has ended. Backstrom and Empire could be promising as well, Backstrom could be Rake 2.0 though. But the trailers are good enough to watch, of the two I'd be more interested in Empire most likely with it being serialized. And Gracepoint... well it's David Tennant, duh I'm watching it.
Meh I don't really think so. I'd think they'd have it based around a studly Tut on The CW with fewer ethnic actors. But FOX used to always have really unique spins on sci-fi/fantasy (in fact nearly every one season wonder they canceled that was sci-fi/fantasy has been a favorite of mine) and with Sleepy Hollow and now this (and WP) it looks like they're going back to that after a period of more generic feeling shows (like Past Life and New Amsterdam) and I couldn't be happier. But to me it felt like a classic FOX show. Only this time FOX is actually much more patient with their shows so I'm not as afraid for it.
Hmm I hadn't heard of that before. I'll have to check it out. Seems like pretty soon we'll have a large influx of Egyptian-set stories, especially if HBO greenlights their ancient aliens in Egypt series. There's that, Tut on Spike, Hieroglyph, and now apparently Gods of Egypt. Haha. I will probably watch all of them.
Red Band Society looked surprisingly good. Gotham looks watchablel, but not the kind of show I see as must-see. Kind of like SHIELD. lol Hieroglyph, okay, I didn't even make it through that trailer. Ouch. Mulaney looks...forgettable Wayward Pines looks somewhat interesting but darn if it doesn't SCREAM "Happy Town" and we all know what happened there. Well, scratch that, Happy Town seemed a little more interesting to me. Gracepoint looks really good actually. Empire looks short-lived. "
- So Hieroglyph has vampires ? Ya'll know that I'm more interested now than ever
- Mulaney...yeah could be fun but I don't think it'll go past season 3. Why ? Simply because John can't possibly unfold on FOX. His humor simply isn't pg or TV14.
- Wayward Pines looks better than I expected, sure will check this out.
- Backstrom looks like it might just be one of the crime procedurals I'll decide to watch on a constant basis. Self defecating humor at it's best.
- Really liked Broadchurch. I'm not too sure wether a 1:1 remake will make me watch again, Tennant is in this though so I'll sure watch this.
- Red Band Society...gee as interesting as that sounds, it also sounds a bit full of itself. We'll see where this show goes.
- I'll withold my judgement on Gotham, give the town character unlike Nolan did. They should have gone the obscure Burton road but I guess budget reasons and the Nolan hype prevented that
I think this series would be unique in its own way. I hope they don't do the Burton way because Gotham city was pretty stupid and cheesy in his movies.
**Red Band Society - looks like it could be cute...probably not one that I will watch every week but catch up on when I need to give my brain a break from my usual fare.
**Backstrom - meh...maybe if I have time or if it's getting really good reviews.
**Gotham - was going to watch this before and now I will definitely be watching!
**Gracepoint - love DT and I haven't seen Broadchurch so I will tuning in for sure.
**Empire - meh....just like Backstrom...if I have time/gets great reviews
**Wayward Pines - I had initially intended to skip this because I still can't forgive M. Night Shyamalan for what he did to Avatar: The Last Airbender but the promo looked pretty good so I think I'll give it at least two or three eps before I decide.
**Mulany - looks finny and I like Martin Short so I'll probably give it a couple eps and see.
**Heiroglyph - I love all things ancient Egypt so I planned to watch this but with the addition of vampires, I am all in!
I'm from Chile, ¡hola! xD I don't actually follow "Pulseras Rojas" I just know about it because it's a modarete success and I have a good amount of friends who watch it, so I don't know if the guy dies actually, I just know the similarities with the upcoming FOX show are a lot.
What I'll check out AND looks interesting/good - Backstrom: I have a soft spot for those kind of characters and I think they manage to give the procedural format a good spice. - Gotham: Interesting concept, good cast & crew and the footage is looking great. Fingers crossed it lives up to the hype. - Gracepoint: haven't seen the UK version, but it looks good. Also I'm hoping they treat it more like a miniseries... - Red Band Society: looks like it could be cute. Tweeny, but cute. - Wayward Pines: I'm not an M.Knight hater like most, but I do think he can be hit and miss. So I'm weary coming in. However the cast is quite excellent, the story seems interesting, it looks as if it's being approached as a miniseries(which I think is a GREAT thing, especially for this kind of story). Lastly the trailer kinda looked amazing...
What I'll check out but "Meh" - Hieroglyph: Looks campy... but not the good kind . Still it's my kind of show so I'll probably give it a go out of curiosity more so than anything else... okay, maybe John Rhys Davies too might be a factor, but that's about it... - Empire: Too soap-operaish. But the cast is pretty stellar, so for that alone I feel I need to give it a show.
What I think looks pretty bad... - Mulaney: the stand up bits were good. The rest? Kinda awful. And it's sad cause I really like Nasim Pedrad and Martin Short. I might check it once or twice but I don't have high hopes it will be any good.
¡Es increÃble como uno se encuentra con tantas personas de todo el mundo en SpoilerTV! Una de las gracias de visitar esta página (Now I'll be writing in English not so that I won't be excluding anyone xD) I just now saw on AV Club that it was indeed an official adaption, so that's good
WOW, after reading pilot descriptions i thought i would watch only a few new show next year, but the trailers are much better.
From NBC i picked 5 (out of 6) From Fox 5 (out of 8) - Mulaney looks terrible, save for Backstorm, Gracepoint does not look bad but it is not my kind of a show
Why is Hieroglyph mid-season? MY favorite trailer so far :(
I hate to be that person, but why did the protagonist of Hieroglyph have to be white? NO, like seriously, I'm curious. Was it that necessary to make the hero white in this setting? Was it necessary for the story?
Arrow doesn't really have superheroes either and might not have powers anymore after this season if the cure for the Mirakuru takes away their super-strength.
I would say I'm not surprised because the world of TV is so white dominated but I am a little surprised because Fox has been really good with diversity lately.
I will definitively check out Gotham, Wayward Pines, Red Band Society, Gracepoint and Backstrom! Hieroglyph looks really awful but maybe I'll watch the pilot just because I'm curious. Not interested at all by Empire & Mulaney!
Gracepoint, Gotham and Wayward PInes both look amazing. I can't tell if Mulaney is a clever pastiche of dire, cliche-ridden sitcoms, or if it's just dire, but I'm not willing to take the risk.
Red Band Society: It's been too long since the last time I've really liked a teen soap (early seasons of One Tree Hill). I have high hopes for this one. Plus Olivia Spencer. Blackstrom: Characters like Blackstrom are a double edged sword for me. Either I completely embrace them or I get fed up... very quickly. Not sure which one will be the case here but I'll be tuning in. Gotham: I haven't made up my mind about this one yet. Gracepoint: Haven't seen the original yet but it looks interesting and it has Anna Gunn in it. Empire: Hip-Hop isn't really my thing but neither was country music and I ended up liking Nashville more than I thought I would. Taraji P. Henson is in it, so I will give it a shot. Wayward Pines: Since a certain someone is attached to this, I will wait for the hearsay of other people once it airs. Mulaney: What the hell is this even about? Pass. Hieroglyph: I was intrigued when reading the descriptions but my interest has declined after watching.
I am really looking forward to Gotham, it looks great. Hieroglyph & Wayward Pines look like they could be good. And i'll at least watch the pilot for Gracepoint. I hope it's different enough from Broadchurch, to make it worth watching.
I think the only one I'm considering is Gotham. Gracepoint's the Broadchurch remake right?...Hope it's different because Broadchurch was hellishly boring.
I'm surprised that FOX has so many potential great shows for next year ! I was (and I'm still) expecting Gotham and Hieroglyph, but I was really surprised in fact by Wayward Pynes, which I thought would be kinf of a Twin Peaks spin-off, but in fact looks really interesting ! I'm also expecting Red Band Society, it looks original and pretty good. I can't really judge Gracepoint as I've seen the original show (Broadchurch) and as it looks exactly the same (even the actors look like/are the same !) for the moment, but I would say it looks good. I'm not really interested in Empire, but I have to admit it is an original show and it could be good. In fact, only Backstrom don't interest me at all, as Mulaney looks good (but I'm not a huge fan of sitcoms in fact).
Shyamalan's involvement is purely advertising. He directed the pilot and probably a few other episodes, that's about it. He didn't write a line and didn't pitch one idea in the writing process so I think we're fine. His directing is just average. His writing though is mediocre.
That's what you get for reducing a whole show to a couple of keywords. The Killing was also called a Twin Peaks ripoff before it aired. It's ridiculous.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Mulaney looks almost like a Seinfeld rip off.
ReplyDeleteWell hopefully it's better, I've never liked Seinfeld.
ReplyDeleteGotham looks interesting, i did not watch the others. But it definitely looks promising. But i don't get the part where they say it isn't comic book world, the idea, the characters the stories are completely comic book related.

Red Band Society: He's so dying. To sad for me.
ReplyDeleteOff topic, sorry but when is schedule for CW coming?
ReplyDeleteBTW i am really sad that Hieroglyph is not coming in fall. It was pilot i was looking forward to see the most :(
On thursday, and Hieroglyph sounds so good! I think it will replace Gotham when that is finished its 16 episode run, and then The Following will be at 9.
ReplyDeleteSo 3 more days? :( I hope we can get some short videos or pics or something sooner. CW pilots look all amazing this year
ReplyDeleteWayward Pines: this was better than I expected. I thought it was gonna be a Twin Peaks rip-off, but it looks so different. I wasn't looking forward to this, but now I am.

My predictions for midseason schedule:
ReplyDelete-After Gracepoint ends, American Idol will fill it's spot until the auditions are over. After this, Backstrom will replace it.
-Wayward Pines will replace Gotham and The Following will replace Sleepy Hollow.
Don't know about the others.
Too bad it does not work for me.

ReplyDeleteGotham: Again looks awesome too, it's a must see
those are the ones i will be watching from fox
Empire's hair budget must be really something
ReplyDeleteWayward Pines- Very cool concept but it is M. Night Shyamalan, I will still check it out.

I have to ask, so many have mentioned it: What is wrong with M. Night Shyamalan? I live under a rock.
ReplyDeleteOk now I am officially excited about Gotham!!!!!! Backstrom also looks good and promising!!!
ReplyDeleteHieroglyph? :(

ReplyDeleteI am dying to see all of the trailers. Even JtV. I already want to know if it is going to be funny like HOD or pure drama. The Messengers really made a great impresion with that amazing Key Art & iZombie+ Flash are my favorites for this year since the beginning. When they are out i cant even decide which to watch first :)
ReplyDeleteAlso i am dying to know which of them are going to start in fall. I would love for all of them to start in fall, but that would mean sending Reign to Fridays and i am not cool with that, since it has to survive to season 3 so it can get season 4 for syndication
I can see only 4 , but quality and sound of Gracepoint are terrible so i will wait until tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteRed Band : Looks great, i did not expect to like this, but i will watch now
Backstorm : NO NO!!
Gotham : Maybe. So it will be like detective shows, with new case every week or is there going to be a storyline with main characters? Is Catwoman series regular?
So the Wayward Pines trailer was working earlier, then? Hmmm. Damn I want to see it.
ReplyDeleteRed Band Society, Gotham and Empire look great. I have no interest in the rest.
ReplyDeleteI'm very hopeful for Gotham now, it's fantastic to get a fresh take on Gotham pre Batman. I seriously can't wait for this show.
ReplyDeleteThey meaning it's part Nolan'ish grounded in reality while being all these other type of things like mythical etc etc
ReplyDeleteToo many of the more exciting shows are being held till mid season
ReplyDeleteYep... Wayward Pines and Hieroglyph were a couple of the ones I had the most excitement for, and we haven't even gotten a trailer yet for either one. Lame.
ReplyDeleteLiterally,Gotham just keeps looking better and better to me, also really interested in Red Band Society. Wish I could see a trailer for Heiroglyph.
ReplyDeleteHere are the Wayward Pines and Hieroglyph trailers: www.youtube.com/watch?v=2z-b3Nw6Znw

Here is the Hieroglyph trailer: www.youtube.com/watch?v=JC2Nn0...
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot :)
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome :)
ReplyDeleteRBC looks pretty great, and even though I enjoy many dramas that aren't "weird" in some way I rarely get excited over them. But I'm pretty excited to see that one. And me too re: Hieroglyph, the links are all non functional.
ReplyDeleteJust Red Band Society for me. "Meh" at all the others.
ReplyDeleteHuh, that's weird because it's working fine for me. I'll try and find another link for you.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the trailer, just saw it. Red Band Society is something that was on my list, but the trailer was so different, I didn't expect the kid to be in a coma, narrating. Drama's for me can be ok, but things like RBS and Hieroglyph excite me for the premise, I really like Egyptian mythology.
ReplyDeleteI like Empire, Gotham, and Red Band Society.
ReplyDeleteThat very weird moment when you realize that "Red Band Society" is the exact same show that is airing in your country right now, named "Pulseras Rojas"
ReplyDeleteEmpire and Wayward Pines for me.
ReplyDeleteHieroglyph looks more like CW than Fox.
ReplyDeleteTo answer the poll: I voted for all of these.
ReplyDeleteWhy? The CW would never air something like that.
ReplyDeleteJust Red Band Society for me. :)
ReplyDeleteMeh I don't really think so.
ReplyDeleteJust Empire and maybe the pilot of Gotham.
ReplyDeleteHieroglyph looks cheap but at least it's a million times better than that stupid movie they are making with an all white cast (Gods of Egypt).
ReplyDeleteHmm I hadn't heard of that before.
ReplyDeleteRed Band Society looks nice.
ReplyDeleteWayward Pines is pretty damn intriguing.
Hyeroglyph looks a bit cheap but I love all things Egypt related.
Red Band Society looked surprisingly good.
ReplyDeleteGotham looks watchablel, but not the kind of show I see as must-see. Kind of like SHIELD. lol
Hieroglyph, okay, I didn't even make it through that trailer. Ouch.
Mulaney looks...forgettable
Wayward Pines looks somewhat interesting but darn if it doesn't SCREAM "Happy Town" and we all know what happened there. Well, scratch that, Happy Town seemed a little more interesting to me.
Gracepoint looks really good actually.
Empire looks short-lived. "
Well, maybe 2 shows on Fox for me? Maybe.
- So Hieroglyph has vampires ? Ya'll know that I'm more interested now than ever
ReplyDelete- Mulaney...yeah could be fun but I don't think it'll go past season 3.
They should have gone the obscure Burton road but I guess budget reasons and the Nolan hype prevented that
Gods of Egypt stars the guy who plays Jaime in GoT and Gerard Butler. A
ReplyDeleteI think this series would be unique in its own way. I hope they don't do the Burton way because Gotham city was pretty stupid and cheesy in his movies.
ReplyDelete**Red Band Society - looks like it could be cute...probably not one that I will watch every week but catch up on when I need to give my brain a break from my usual fare.
ReplyDelete**Backstrom - meh...maybe if I have time or if it's getting really good reviews.
The girl in Mulaney is annoying as f.
ReplyDeleteWhere are you from? Eres de España o de Chile?
ReplyDeleteDo you know if the guy dies? I'm not seeing this if he does.
I'm from Chile, ¡hola! xD
ReplyDeleteI don't actually follow "Pulseras Rojas" I just know about it because it's a modarete success and I have a good amount of friends who watch it, so I don't know if the guy dies actually, I just know the similarities with the upcoming FOX show are a lot.
I was going to check out Wayward Pines but upon learning that Shyamalan was involved, I decided not to. Just Hieroglyph for me.
ReplyDeleteI'm from Republica Dominicana
ReplyDeleteAnyways, Wikipedia says it's an official adaptation, so they're not stealing the idea
What I'll check out AND looks interesting/good
ReplyDelete- Backstrom: I have a soft spot for those kind of characters and I think they manage to give the procedural format a good spice.
What I'll check out but "Meh"
- Hieroglyph: Looks campy... but not the good kind .
Una de las gracias de visitar esta página
ReplyDelete(Now I'll be writing in English not so that I won't be excluding anyone xD)
I just now saw on AV Club that it was indeed an official adaption, so that's good
Aha thank you. Now it makes sense.
ReplyDeleteWOW, after reading pilot descriptions i thought i would watch only a few new show next year, but the trailers are much better.
ReplyDeleteFrom NBC i picked 5 (out of 6)
From Fox 5 (out of 8) - Mulaney looks terrible, save for Backstorm, Gracepoint does not look bad but it is not my kind of a show
Why is Hieroglyph mid-season? MY favorite trailer so far :(
GOTHAM
ReplyDeleteBackstrom
Gracepoint
Wayward Pines
maybe: Empire & Hieroglyph
I hate to be that person, but why did the protagonist of Hieroglyph have to be white? NO, like seriously, I'm curious. Was it that necessary to make the hero white in this setting? Was it necessary for the story?
ReplyDeleteArrow doesn't really have superheroes either and might not have powers anymore after this season if the cure for the Mirakuru takes away their super-strength.
ReplyDeleteProbably the same as his Broadchurch character. Most of the scenes (if not all of them) from that promo are exact copies of scenes from the original.
ReplyDeleteSo I expect some small changes to the mystery, because we have another murderer, but most of the other storylines will be the same.
I would say I'm not surprised because the world of TV is so white dominated but I am a little surprised because Fox has been really good with diversity lately.
ReplyDeleteWill check out Gotham, Backstrom and Wayward Pines.
ReplyDeleteWas intersted in Hieroglyph until I saw the trailer! Looks pretty awful so will pass.
I'll be giving Gotham, Gracepoint and Hieroglyph a go.
ReplyDeleteI will definitively check out Gotham, Wayward Pines, Red Band Society, Gracepoint and Backstrom! Hieroglyph looks really awful but maybe I'll watch the pilot just because I'm curious. Not interested at all by Empire & Mulaney!
ReplyDeleteThe Flash trailer will premiere tomorrow during Arrow's season finale. My guess it's that the iZombie trailer will premiere during TVD season finale.
ReplyDeleteBut Oliver is the city's hero. Gotham will focus on Gordon, Bullock and the Gotham PD.
ReplyDeleteThey are airing it in my country too. I guess they are airing it in all Latin America right now :)
ReplyDeleteGracepoint, Gotham and Wayward PInes both look amazing. I can't tell if Mulaney is a clever pastiche of dire, cliche-ridden sitcoms, or if it's just dire, but I'm not willing to take the risk.
ReplyDeleteRed Band Society: It's been too long since the last time I've really liked a teen soap (early seasons of One Tree Hill). I have high hopes for this one. Plus Olivia Spencer.
ReplyDeleteBlackstrom: Characters like Blackstrom are a double edged sword for me.
ReplyDelete3 Seasons for Mulaney?
ReplyDeleteI think the only one I'm considering is Gotham.
ReplyDeleteGracepoint's the Broadchurch remake right?...Hope it's different because Broadchurch was hellishly boring.
Gotham, Hieroglyph, Wayward Pines for sure. I'll also check out Gracepoint, having watched the original I'm curious to see it.
ReplyDeleteSo Hieroglyph has vampires? Not sure that I like it going in that direction. Excited for Gotham but mostly because I miss Ben and Southland.
ReplyDeleteLooks like it. I've heard a lot of good things about, maybe I should check it out
ReplyDeleteI think I'll check out: Gotham(!), Gracepoint, Hieroglyph, Red Band Society.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised that FOX has so many potential great shows for next year !
ReplyDeleteI don't know how I feel about Gotham. I'm Bat Man-ed out, but The Red Band Society sounds different and may check that one out.
ReplyDeleteA lot of these look terrible to me. I'm only interested in Gotham, and maybe Red Band Society.
ReplyDeleteSince Gracepoint and Wayward Pines are both 10-episode event series, I may check them out, once their run is over, if I read good things about them.
What didn't you like about it?
ReplyDeleteShyamalan's involvement is purely advertising. He directed the pilot and probably a few other episodes, that's about it. He didn't write a line and didn't pitch one idea in the writing process so I think we're fine. His directing is just average. His writing though is mediocre.
ReplyDeleteThat's what you get for reducing a whole show to a couple of keywords. The Killing was also called a Twin Peaks ripoff before it aired. It's ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteWow, who pissed in your cereal?
ReplyDeleteHmm, where is the Red Band Society Promo.
ReplyDelete
