Empire - Ordered to series at FOX

Fox has ordered Lee Daniels’ hip-hop Empire drama to series for the 2014-15 season, TVLine has learned.

With a pilot directed by Daniels and co-written by him and Lee Daniels’ The Butler‘s Danny Strong, Empire is described as a unique family drama set in the world of a hip-hop empire, featuring both original and current music.

The Empire cast includes Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson (Person of Interest), Jussie Smollett, Bryshere Y. Gray, Malik Yoba (Alphas), Trai Byers, Grace Gealey, Kaitlin Doubleday and recurring player Gabourey Sidibe (American Horror Story: Coven)

    I'm happy about that. Terrence Howard and Taraji Henson are great actors. They deserved that.

    I loved Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard together in Hustle & Flow. Also liked Henson to a certain degree on Person of Interest. Only cast-member i don't like i Sidibe, both her person IRL and her acting on American Horror Story is awful.

    Also another thing i like about the pilot, Danny Strong. He did so great job with Game Change i think.

    At least what we suspected about the real reason that TPH was booted from POI is confirmed now. Making movies, please. Glad she's back on TV - she is a amazing.
