  1. I do hope they make up. I have this need to see them reconciled.

  2. Seems to me that Watson cares more about a romantic relationship with Mycroft than her partnership with Sherlock. She knows that things would be awkward if she stayed at the brownstone while dating Mycroft and that's why she wants her own place.

I still think the Watson/Mycroft relationship is weird and creepy to me. Watson could date any guy in the world, but she had to choose Sherlock's brother. *Rolls eyes*

  3. She said wanted to move out before Mycroft proposed dating. With Sherlock busting into her rooms at odd hours, crossing personal boundaries with her and her friends, and not consulting her on some big decisions, it is not unrealistic that Watson would want her own place.

  4. I went from really liking Mycroft to vehemently despising him. After the finale, seeing him on this show ever again would be too soon.

I hope Sherlock doesn't relapse in the finale. He still has that small bag of heroin in one of his books.

I take it he's not as lovely in "Elementary" as he is in "Sherlock"...?

  8. That's putting it mildly.

See, that's what gets me. Watson doesn't need Mycroft to push her to want to change her situation, and the Sherlock/Watson relationship could have evolved with just their own growing pains. Instead, they are shoehorning this unnecessary romantic relationship in, and one nobody wants, and because it's with Sherlock's brother it makes what are pretty decent reasons for wanting change on Joan's part into something a lot less sympathetic. It's especially bad because it's having such a bad effect on Sherlock - not only is she moving out, she's doing it in part for a relationship she may deem more important than the one she has with him, and it's with his brother. If it pushes Sherlock into doing drugs again, I think it will end up putting Joan in a bad light she wouldn't have been in if she'd done it just for her instead of for this boring, new relationship (with Sherlock's brother, can't emphasize that bit enough). Worst of all, it gives Joan the most weak and cliched reason for doing anything ever - she's doing it for a guy. At least, that's when it got brought up, and it's at least part of why she's doing it, and it's a part that she doesn't need. The only thing I can think of is that they wanted events to be big enough to push Sherlock into doing something drastic like relapsing, but even then, they could have found a better way. They should have just had Watson move out for her own reasons, and not muddied the water by bringing a relationship with Mycroft into it.
