    Dracula could have worked as a television drama but their approach just didn't fit the theme. Not that I'm not welcoming innovative storytelling but there's innovative and then there's too much. Dracula was on of the classic 'too much' examples.


    If they would have taken a horror approach with revealing one of Draculas villainous schemes to win over the girl and defeating his enemies that would have worked for sure. The sci-fi approach just didn't do it.

    This is one of those rare moments where it's not a terrible thing that a series was cancelled. Dracula had always felt like a stepping stone of just introducing the characters and the ten-episode series fits in that way where by the end of the series, the pieces look like they're in place to show the audience what could be with the struggle between Dracula and Van Helsing and with that, I'm not too upset over this cancellation. Would I love to see more? Yes, and I was a fan of the series, but what those ten episodes did give us was something that the imaginary mind could think of what else can happen.

    Fridays should be Grimm/Constantine and then Grimm/Hannibal. In fact, I wouldn't mind 13 episodes per season for Constantine at all.

    Ehhh…Grimm is decent, lol. I'm not a huge fan of the show myself, but it's certainly watchable on Fridays when there's nothing else for me to watch until Hannibal.

    If we find the answer to that, we may solve the mystery: "will we have an immortal vampiric bear next season going after our shows?"

    I expected this one. I am going to miss it but honestly, I don't think there was too much left to say after this season. I'll consider the show as a nice mini-series, which is what I think it should have been in the first place.

    I was referring to the shows I follow, not sure how many are still left without renewal or cancellation.
    I lost 8 shows this year, more twice the amount of last year.

    The show is a co-production, NBC may have pulled out but the international company can produce and air it.

    Where else could they take the show after all Dracula comes back too life then heads to London. Then falls in love with a dead ringer of his late wife who is getting married to another guy. Dracula also realizes that the Order of The Dragon is still around so Dracula plans and gets revenge in the mean time and gets the girl called Minna too fall in love with Dracula. Other then they were on the wrong network where else could they take this story line??

    Me too, I was content with the way it ended. With season 2, and onward we would of just had more unnecessary drama, and even then I was able to see where it would of all lead up to. so I with you bear.

    I'm actually hoping for 13 episodes for Constantine and for it to be a bit more serialized than procedural and for me the Grimm/Constantine, then Grimm/Hannibal combos would be perfect for Fridays.

    No, not really. It was boring after all, and the tvgod knows I kept watching because of Lady Jayne and Lucy. So, they killed off LJ, Lucy only got like 10 second screen time, because yeah no biggie when turning into a vampire. (Ah, don't let me even start ranting about that again.) So no, I won't miss it.

    all I know of are the 1979 TV 2 parter, the sh*tty sequel from '85 and the two parter with Rob Lowe and Rutger Hauer.

    Indeed. On the point with the 13 episode idea too. I mean, it appears that Gotham is getting a 13 episode first season and I think it would be beneficial for Constantine as well.

    I'm sorry for all of you fans, i feel your pain. So far i've lost 3 series: Almost Human, Believe, & Revolution. But i gave Dracula a chance. Love story central theme- check, vampire environmentalist- check, avoid like the plague- check.

    Ok, that is a little uglier than shiny eyes and a scar, but it is not a monstrosity.
    That aside, he doesn't look like that all the time.
    Only when he transforms or whatever.
    So the conflict of a beautiful woman being attracted to a full time monster despite his looks got lost there.
    The whole original idea of a gorgeous woman looking at a deformed, monster-like face and being able to see what is underneath is just not here.
    Most of the time she looks at him and he looks handsome.

    first of all ... thank you for understanding my point ... second of all if you were checking the cast and the writers you would understand that they made it clear since day one that probably one of the ''few'' things that they took from the old series is the title --- I'm a fan of this show ( i won't hide behind my finger ) so i've seen a lot of interviews and stuff , in which pretty much everyone was saying that they didn't wanted to go like the old series ... they all loved the old series and knew that this would be fair ... so they changed it ... as for the

    i do get your point and i don't know , you might be right , really ... -- up to a point


    I think it's there , I mean all the crimes Vincent has done ( still doing sometimes )... the fact that he can't control it well when it happens and stuff ... I think it's not only about how he looks -- that's an ugly thing as well , right ?--- 'cause being ''ugly'' can have many meanings ( I hope I explained that right -- english is not my mother language , sorry about that )


    and last but not least -- who knows ? -- maybe the writers turn him into a ''full time'' beast next season :) :)

    You have a pretty valid point: " 'cause being ''ugly'' can have many meanings".
    I don't watch the show and nowadays I am pretty annoyed that nobody is allowed to be butt ugly, even beasts and vampires need to be hot, but this aside, the world is more superficial and maybe they wouldn't get the ratings (which they are already struggling for) if he were really beastly, so it is a "know your audience and Market" element.
