Thanks to Richard Dower for the heads up.

Marvel is proud to announce that acclaimed writer, director and producer Steven S. DeKnight ("Spartacus," "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer," "Angel") has joined "Marvel's Daredevil" as Executive Producer & Showrunner on the all-new 13-episode series premiering on Netflix in 2015. Drew Goddard, who also wrote the first two episodes, will continue to serve as Executive Producer on "Marvel"s Daredevil" as he writes and preps Sony's "The Amazing Spider-Man" spin-off film, "The Sinister Six."

  2. This is good replacement. I was thinking that if Sinister Six was aimed for spring 2017 that Goddard might had to depart the show halfway at least.

DeKnight did right moves on the last two seasons of Spartacus that i liked, and i think he should have had more credits for.

  3. I always found it a bit odd Drew was attached to the Sony Marvel universe and the MCU, he will be missed but Steven has a great resume as well so I am delighted to see him with a new show.

  4. I like this change, liked his work on Buffy/Angel and later Spartacus.

  5. He hasn't totally left but will be there as extra support. I think the 2 of them will work well together, I loved both their work in Buffy
