Daredevil - Charlie Cox cast as Matt Murdock

Thanks to Bruce_F for the heads up.

Marvel and Netflix's Daredevil has found its leading man: Boardwalk Empire alum Charlie Cox.

Sources confirm to The Hollywood Reporter that Cox will star as Matt Murdock, the blind lawyer by day and crime-fighting hero by night at the center of the 13-episode drama.

    Nice, I only just realised that he was the lad in Stardust he looks so different as Owen in Boardwalk Empire. He was great in BE though so I'm interested to see what he brings to DD.

    I liked him in Stardust. Maybe is it a good thing that they cast a relative unknown person. Gives him much more acting ground.

    Yup I agree, got four upcoming Marvel series, definitely need one. I'm kind of hoping Daredevil gets more then one series though.

    I don't think it will unless they change their plans because its all meant to build towards a Defenders mini-series which I could see getting more seasons. I can see Daredevil popping up in the Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist shows though in fact all of them slowing coming together.

    Well if we can't get more then one season of Daredevil Ill be happy if he keeps popping up everywhere and we get several Defenders seasons. My super comic geeky wish would be to have Elektra in the series somehow as well. Lol I'm getting ahead of myself but as a Daredevil diehard I'm just pretty excited that's all. ;) thank heavens for Marvel not giving up on DD.
