Yay, I'm happy! I love Patricia Arquette, so I was hoping this would get picked up. I thought it was a longshot after the pickup of NCIS: New Orleans since only one was supposed to be picked up. I bet this will be a midseason show or replacement for whatever gets canceled first on CBS.
CSI is crap...it's outdated and the plots are recycled and don't get me started on the acting. Sure, Intelligence needs work but it could be a sold hit for CBS if they give it a chance.
I don't know that I'll watch it. I stopped watching Miami a two or three years before it was actually cancelled and I did watch NY. I think I'll probably just stick with the original CSI though because I've been watching it for years but I'm not really interested in watching any more crime shows.
I am surprised this got picked up. I didn't think the episode was good. Admittedly, I'm not a huge fan of Patricia Arquette, but that's not why I didn't care for it. The episode just seemed all over the place. That being said, I'll give it a few episodes before I wash my hands of it completely. I'll see who else gets cast.
Realllllly wish they called it CSI: Cyber Crime Unit or something like that, because saying to a friend, hey did you catch Cyber last night.. seams a little iffy to me lol.
Bummed that this means they decided to give up on Intelligence. This will just be your usual CSi with a smattering of what CBS thinks is techno talk. At least Intelligence had a good premise and was starting to get into it's stride. The whole of the new CBS shows just seem so boring and been there done that.
the reason why people didnt watch it was because it was up against Castle and The Blacklist which both draw in huge audiences. If given a decent time slot Intelligence may have done better.

Actually Intelligence wasn't going up against The Blacklist and Castle that much bc they both aired 2 episodes before going on Hiatus break due to Olympics. Intelligence aired 13 wks straight while Olympics was airing and even with those two shows on hiatus didn't even help either.
I'll give it a go coz I like Patricia Arquette. Hopefully it will do better than the awful Criminal minds spin off Suspect Behaviour. CSI Vegas should have been cancelled years ago
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Not sure it will do that well

ReplyDeleteOK this could be good but frankly I'm still ticked about no longer having Miami and New York.
ReplyDeleteIs anyone besides Patricia cast?
ReplyDeleteWhy do I need another CSI show when I can have Intelligence? At least, it's a moderately different crime show.
ReplyDeleteIntelligence is crap
ReplyDeleteJust what we all need, another crime procedural! Let's face it I'll still watch it though.

ReplyDeleteIt had his chance. Intelligence is Dead.
ReplyDeleteCSI is kind of Crap you are right. And the Acting is sometimes very bad
BUT
People watch it. Not like Intelligence. It's Dead. Get over it and move on.
Maybe it's time for me to watch one of these...
ReplyDeleteYou mean you've never watched CSI?
ReplyDeleteHappy miss Patricia Arquette on screen

ReplyDeleteWell that's mean we the good shows going to air in midseason and the crappy ones like csi and ncis going to this season.. ugh
ReplyDeleteSo, soon we'll see "Law & Order: Internet Victims Unit".

ReplyDeleteSo Intelligence is dead then.

ReplyDeleteIntelligence didn't have a chance either way.
ReplyDeleteI didn't see this coming, I thought CBS would only pick only one spin-off.
ReplyDeleteThat;s what I was wondering too. I haven't heard of anyone being on the cast other than her.
ReplyDeleteMaybe a random episode, but never straight through any season.
ReplyDeleteIt looked dead to me for quite a long time... with or without CSI's help.
ReplyDeletePlease, no XD Actually, you might be right...
ReplyDeleteThat's good news though I'd prefer another "city-based CSI" like "CSI: Los Angeles". Hope they assemble a high quality cast.
ReplyDeleteGood guess! That's what the Deadline writer said too, that NCIS: New Orleans is more likely for fall and CSI: Cyber for midseason.CSI: Cyber.
ReplyDeleteI'll give the pilots for most shows a shot. I'm actually interested in seeing at least the pilots for both CSI: Cyber and NCIS: New Orleans.
ReplyDeletethe reason why people didnt watch it was because it was up against Castle and The Blacklist which both draw in huge audiences. If given a decent time slot Intelligence may have done better.

ReplyDeleteSame here , i like the look of CSI but it just has way to many episodes to watch if i wanted to catch up with the ongoing season.
ReplyDeleteI watched the backdoor pilot to this... It was unrealistic, uninformed, stupid and crappy...

ReplyDeletelmao! Best line ever.
ReplyDeleteShe had a really great role last season on Boardwalk Empire (and REALLY different than the roles she normally takes).

ReplyDeleteHaha, for some reason I actually pictured Cartman saying this.
ReplyDeleteHahaha :D
ReplyDeleteHope there will be an IT/Cyber thing in cases not just a body, blood and bullets
