Getting over the halfway mark of the first season, Believe continues on with an episode that both gives serialization and a standalone story, as Tate and Bo go off on there own for a bit, while Winter and Channing along with Leeds try and stop Skouras from being able to track Bo's telekinetic signature.
At the beginning of the episode we see Bo practice her abilities by raising water from a container and she struggles to keep it in the air and reshape it, but Tate, more concerned than ever before, insists she takes a break for the day. He and Winter briefly argue about what Winter wants and expects from Bo, while Tate believes that it's important that she has some sense of normalcy.
They're interrupted by Skouras men who were able to track them when Bo was using her abilities. They escape to the roof where they have to cross over rickety planks to the roof of the another building. Bo uses her ability to make the planks collapse so that the men can not follow them.
They go and hide at a near by auto body repair shop where now Winter insists that Bo does not use her abilities, but allows Tate to take his daughter out for the day, while he goes off and devices a plan to get Channing into the Orchestra campus, so she can insert a computer chip into Skouras' machine, actually also designed by Leads, in which should block it from recognizing Bo's signature.
Bo and Tate go out to have a bite to eat, where Bo suddenly realizes she needs warn a man sitting near by about not following through with his action. Tate allows Bo to approach him and explain her keen insights to him. The man named Gary Wise considers her proposal, but goes on his way. Bo continues to insist that they need to check up on him, as she leads Tate to the man's hardware store.
We learn that he owes another man a steep debt that used for his business and that he would be stopping by in which Bo envisioned his murder. The scene plays out almost identical to Bo's visions, until the time came for Gary Wise to kill the man he owed the debt to. He changed his mind and was told he had ten hours left to figure out how to pay his debt.
Bo and Tate show up shortly after and are introduced to the man's family. Bo gets an idea that they should visit the actual person that guy owes money to, as it turns out the other man was just a middle man. So the three of them drive to the massive estate and Tate goes in to see if he can strike a deal. The man says that a racing horse was stolen from him and if they get it back, the man's debt would be cleared.
Tate relays the information to Bo and Gary. They decide this is what they are going to do and hatch a plan to steal a horse!
Bo uses her charming child-like abilities to distract the alleged owner or trainer at the stables, while Tate gets the groom or stable hand to leave, while he makes off with the horse. Bo has to again use her powers to escape from the trainers office, but she and Tate are able to get the horse to large truck where " awaits for them. They get a little ways down the road before they are pulled over. Tate and Bo take the horse and escape into near by woods, that leads to them both riding together on horseback across it! -And just when they thought they were lost, they end up in front of the massive estate. The two end up back at the auto shop where Bo gives the water shaping another go and she's successful into morphing the water into the shape of a pyramid.
In the meantime Channing uses an old sewer tunnel to gain access to the campus. She ends up being successful after some confusion over wires and dancing around various personal, including Zoe, who just lets her pass on by, but unfortunately she still gets caught on her way out and as it turns out Leads chip did work, as they picked up someone else's signature.
Despite some rather implausible situations with the horse story, the idea of it was certainly cute to watch. Channing getting caught seemed too predicable, I was also glad that we briefly catch up with Agent Ferrell. I would really like to explore her character or have her becoming more heavily involved. For me Tate and Bo make the show at this point, which is shame because I think the supporting cast could be used better and/or be made more interesting characters. I enjoyed the episode, but it wasn't my favorite.
I also thought it was interesting again to experience alternate realities and/or roads not taken through Bo's visions, as we heard her mention before back in "White Noise" that Ben and Taryn's baby wouldn't be born if they didn't try and stick together....
And lastly I did like the prospect of thinking about using crime against crime and the implications that may have. Although it seemed like the horse story was wrapped up, I do wonder if there will not be consequences to this down the line?

So this section is to explore the possibility of those things, which may provide some and insight speculation and at the very least food for thought and/or trivia. I also think it's just fun to be able to reminisce!
Well every time I see a horse on TV I instantly think of that corn-feed Iowen runaway Kate Austen from LOST. In the episode "What Kate Did" Kate is able to escape the Marshall, because a horse randomly appears out of no where providing a nice distraction. Kate also ends up seeing the horse again in the jungle, which left to the viewer to decide if it was the actual horse, or a manifestation provided by the Island or the Smoke Monster.
Other than that there really wasn't a lot of other similarities with other works, except for the idea of trying to fix something that didn't appear to work ("The Incident") and/or having characters on missions get caught (spies on Alias, Alternate Olivia -Fringe, ect).
