Only question is: on what side will Thea be?
ReplyDeleteI don't think there's much of a question there. She'll probably be Team Dark Archer Dad for a while.
ReplyDeleteAnd Mac's prayers have just been answered.
ReplyDeleteAwesome, still waiting to hear that Cynthia Addai-Robinson will be a regular as well.
ReplyDeleteWasn't she cast in some pilot?
ReplyDeleteGreat news , the character is awesome as well as the actor!
ReplyDeleteexcellent news!!
ReplyDeleteHELL YES!! Daddy/daughter dark archers!
ReplyDeleteWise move! Excited about this.
ReplyDeleteThat's a godd question. Either way , it's hard not to like john borrowman. especially if you're a fan of Doctor who and Torchwood like i am.
ReplyDeleteIt was a limited series, I think.
ReplyDeleteShe was cast in an 8 hour miniseries called Texas Rising.
ReplyDeleteAs the arch nemesis of G. Arrow this was bound to happen! I assume either Thea or Josh will ask Oliver foe help after the LoA takes one of them.
ReplyDeleteEither way great news. He is a deeply tormented character and Arrow needs this.
I do hope that Oliver will soon learn that Malcolm is alive. He needs to know.
ReplyDeleteNice..... Thea is going to be a total badass just like her father......YES!
ReplyDeleteYessss!!!! I can't wait to see the Merlyn duo ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd it looks like that will start filming soon. If that is the case, she might have the same reoccurring status Caity Lotz had this past season, being heavily featured towards the middle end of the season.
ReplyDeleteThat would be too easy. He'll probably find out at the worst possible time and at the same time he'll find out that Thea knows and has been taken under his wing. This will anger Oliver because he feels Thea should have told him whereupon the show launches into a big argument about being a hypocrite.
ReplyDeleteHow about quentin?
ReplyDeleteOk i don't like the news but only of his character. But the interesting part is that this might mean storyline different from arrow's.
ReplyDeleteI think this is an interesting question. Thea wants to be trained by Malcolm but after the training is over and she is ready to fight. What will she do? Does she want to fight criminals? Maybe she will want Malcolm to fight with her so he can "redeem" himself or maybe she will want revenge for her mother's death and will try to find Slade.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if they afford more regulars but I agree that she should be a regular too.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Also I can see him finding out Malcolm is alive first and Thea testing him to see If he tells her the truth about her father coming back.
ReplyDeleteAlso he isn't going to find out anytime soon. They will be using that reveal for a big dramatic moment.
Yeah, but will it be a lasting while of just the quickstart for the season? She needs to go with Malcolm now because she needs to be trained by someone (and Oliver would never involve her in his operations), but unlike what most people think, I do believe Thea is not stupid. Once she realizes what Malcolm's plans are, I don't trust she'll go against Team Arrow.
ReplyDeleteThey don't seem to do anything quickly with Thea so I don't think this will be a short term subplot.
ReplyDeleteAny word on Caity Lotz?
ReplyDeleteWOO
ReplyDeleteMore Malcolm and Thea, YEAH BABY
ReplyDeleteI don't think she is stupid but she won't trust Team Arrow so easily even if her father shows her his true colors. IMO she is Team Thea now.
ReplyDeleteAwesome news!!!
ReplyDeleteexactly,i was expecting her to be series-regular first.
ReplyDeletethey finally gave thea an interesting arc with her father.
ReplyDeleteWonder if we'll get Canary flashbacks? Still haven't seen when she joined up with the league and her past with Nyssa.
ReplyDeleteSadly I think they decided she was overshadowing Laurel and used the LoA as a way to get her out of the show without killing her.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking she'll be on Merlyn's side to counter Roy.
ReplyDeleteMerlyn is one of Green Arrow's main foes but Red Arrow/Arsenal hasn't got anyone like that. That gives them creative freedom to create his own rival.
Eventually I think she'll be the Arrow version of Tigress (with Merlyn as her dad instead of Sportsmaster).
It seems Sara is coming back so it would be nice if we get an episode about her joining the LoA and falling in love with Nyssa.
ReplyDeleteAt least she's alive. She's still my Canary pick.
ReplyDeleteI don't want to question Thea's character to harshly but she just decided to buddy-up with a mass murderer who threatened and blackmailed her mother, attempted to assassinate her father, sent an entire city into an economic depression, and who Thea herself called a 'psycho' all because the people in Starling City who care about Thea misguidedly lied in an attempt to protect her. I don't have much faith in Thea's judgement.
ReplyDeleteI like both characters and I want Laurel to be BC but I'm glad Sara didn't have to die so that could happen.
ReplyDeleteI agree..... we might see her for an episode or two, but i dont think as a series regular!
ReplyDeleteHer mother did plenty of awful things too. Also the moment she decided to shoot him her life wasn't going to be the same.
ReplyDeleteAlso instead of being weak and keep getting kidnapped/used as bait she decided to get trained with someone who can make her strong and capable of taking care of herself. Who else was going to do that? This doesn't mean Thea even likes Malcolm. People should expect a very complicated relationship between these two.
I wonder if Barrowman had more wet, shirtless torture scenes with Oliver written into his contract? He seemed to get a kick out of it the first time around. XD
ReplyDeleteAs expected, you can't take the ARROW out of the B-Arrowman
ReplyDeleteLol! EVERYONE is loving this news! Cant wait to see how S3 plays out!
ReplyDeleteI really really hope you're right.
ReplyDeleteYay, yay, yay, yay, yay, yay, YAY!! So excited!!
ReplyDeleteNo "villain Thea", please.
ReplyDeleteI doubt she will making him a card on father's day lol. But I can see Malcolm trying to win her over again and again.
ReplyDeleteOliver has also buddied up to some unsavoury characters so are we to jugde..... Thea made the right decision for herself..... she needs to become stronger if she does not want to continue being the damsel in distress LOL!
ReplyDeleteYep. The pic given could even be called "Boe and Arrow"
ReplyDeleteMaybe for a bit. But I prefer her as Arrows partner over Roy.
ReplyDeleteMe too. I hope this season she starts in a dark place but by the end of the season she becomes Speedy.
ReplyDeleteHopefully with a better code name:)
ReplyDeleteYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
ReplyDeletei CAN'T EVEN
Damn...I'm so frigging pumped now :D
take my like for the Face of Boe reference
ReplyDeleteMy reverse jinxes and millions of prayers have been answered.
ReplyDeleteGuess I can call off Deadshot now, no need to target Berman anymore :P
All that is left to be done now is to promote Sebastian Roché on The Originals and this years promotions are PERFECT
So excited!!! I can't wait!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI swear every picture I see of Barrowman he looks younger than the previous one!
ReplyDeleteThe man must have a painting in the attic!
This time he'll have Slade, Diggle, Oliver AND Roy chained up
ReplyDeleteThe Picture of Barrowman Gray
ReplyDeleteor he's just a vampire ?
or an unaging time cop
That must have been the signing bonus.
ReplyDelete"she needs to become stronger if she does not want to continue being the damsel in distress LOL!"
ReplyDeleteThen she needs to get back to Starling City, ASAP. She can start hanging around Laurel and maybe Thea's resolve and her initiative will rub off on her. I think we can all do without the 'Laurel abduction of the week.'
Well, I never said their relationship would be heartwarming. I'm more concerned about Malcolm's ideas and his morality (or rather a lack there of) unduly influencing Thea.
ReplyDelete"How often will Stephen Amell and me share scenes with him being shirtless ?"
ReplyDelete"20"
"Good I'll do 20 episodes"
"You'll also get to be onscreen with a shirtless Manu Bennett and Colton Haynes"
"Sign me up for life !!!"
Yeah, I think that is something we should worry about. After all, Thea did just loose her mother, discovered her brother has been lying about her biological father, refound her mass-murderer dad, and lost the one person she had to keep her stable, Roy. That is certainly a person whose morality will be put in question, not because she is a bad person, but because she is highly influenciable atm.
ReplyDeleteHell Yes!!!
ReplyDeleteExactly. Thea at her most vulnerable being mentored by Malcolm is bad news in many ways.
ReplyDeleteLMAO!
ReplyDeleteGood news! Can´t wait to see his storyline with Thea next season.
ReplyDeleteThis is great news ever hes dam hot
ReplyDeleteI'm glad he's really back now. BARROWMAN!!
ReplyDeleteBut I really don't want to see Thea becoming a villain. Come on, guys!
Oliver/Roy vs Malcolm/Thea?
ReplyDeleteWhile I think Merlyn will be an antagonist in S3, I think his "plan" will prove to be far more benevolent in intent, but evil in execution, than before.
ReplyDeletewhat could be worst than what he did in season 1 or season when the city is burning in season 2
ReplyDeleteWell, though I doubt this would be his plan, he could plan to take over the world, to give it the justice he thinks it needs.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Now ditch Laurel, and make Sara and Nyssa regulars.
ReplyDeleteI'd rather have Caity Lotz and Katrina Law as regulars.
ReplyDeleteThe fan response to Sara literally handing over the jacket to Laurel, telling Laurel that Ollie needs her, and sailing off to be an assassin again with no one batting an eye and Laurel grinning like a loon... well, the fan response hasn't been good if twitter is anything to go by. Maybe the writers will take notice and keep Sara as a big part of the show. God knows she has been better received than Laurel ever was.
ReplyDeleteFREAKIN YES!!!!
ReplyDeleteNice.
ReplyDeleteSweet! That's awesome! I can't wait to see the look on Ollie's face when he realizes that Malcolm is alive.
ReplyDeleteLol sounds good to me. Maybe season 4?
ReplyDeleteI read that Connor storyline will be explored more in Season 3.
ReplyDeleteThat is really good. When Oliver realizes that Malcolm is alive and not only that his little sister was with him all the time being an apprentice his man pain will hit the roof.
ReplyDeleteAt last. The only quarrel I had with Arrow is resolved. John Barrowman is too good an actor (remember his fabulous turn as Cp. Jack Harness in Doctor Who?) and his character Malcom Merlyn is too good a character to be a guest star. So now all is perfect in the Arrow world, especially after that Five-Star top-notch riveting Season 2 and one of the best Season Finales I can remember in a long time in "Unthinkable" (of the shows I watch only Game of Thrones' Season 2 finale "Blackwater" & Castle's Season 4 finale "Always" match it in recent times).
ReplyDelete…Yay!!!! ^_^
ReplyDeleteThis very good! Can't wait for Season 3!!
ReplyDeleteCaity will be always the Black Canary for me! a little. I think she will come back, at some point in Season 3, hopefully! And maybe as series regular in Season 4!
ReplyDeleteYeah, Caity is very popular with the Arrow Fanbase, i think she did a great job! I'm really glad that she is alive, because that makes the door open for a comeback, eventually!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy right now. What's happening with Manu, is he gone?
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to the Thea and Malcolm dynamic, as well as Thea training under him.
ReplyDeleteHanging out with Laurel is a bad idea.
ReplyDeleteNah, it works for the character given the symbolism it holds in regards to her relationship with Oliver. Plus comic book reference.
ReplyDeleteOr he's Benjamin Button.
ReplyDeleteWeird question: I'm thinking of re-watching the series, should I?
ReplyDeleteNow this is what I call good news. Always nice to have more Barrowman around.
ReplyDeleteNeither do I, but obviously most people think differently, and apparently so do the writers on the show, so that's definitely going to ruin it for me, if she actually does become a freakin' villain, all the good inside Thea, just thrown away ><
ReplyDeleteI think you should give this a go. Second season was not perfect but was highly enjoyable. There were some plot holes and cw cheesiness but it really was a good season. Manu's character Slade is not dead. His story arc is finished now. Not sure if he will return next season.
ReplyDeleteTrue but only Oliver would call her Speedy. That's HIS nickname for her. The press/general public who caught glimpses of her would have to call her something else. Maybe Artemis?
ReplyDeleteDitto, she's awesome!
ReplyDeleteI think his plan in season one is the exact "far more benevolent in intent, but evil in execution". He had the idea to rebuild the city, remember?
ReplyDeleteLooking at the comments, I guess I'm the only one who kinda feels not happy with this news.
ReplyDeleteYes, and?
ReplyDeleteI mean, I thought you said his plan in season 3 would be like that when it was actually like that in season 1. Anyways, your confused response made me feel like I misunderstood your comment. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteMalcolm the lex luthor of arrow? a villain that will be around all the time
ReplyDeletei agree
ReplyDeleteI don't know, it seems like she'll train with him for sure as she wants to be stronger and they'll probably bond, but Thea's not s bad person.
ReplyDeleteprobably downgrade to recruiting
ReplyDeleteThe longer it is after the season finale and the whole thing with Thea, the less I'm happy with this news, I'm still just not gonna watch if they're really gonna screw up Thea like this. They might have made it seem that way all of a sudden in the finale, as if Thea and Malcolm are SO much in common, but that's bullshit and they should know that! ><
ReplyDelete
