    So it's Laurel! I really didn't thought Slade would go after her. This will upset some Olicity shippers Could Lance die? This seems suspicious, I wouldn't want that to happen, especially not to Laurel.

    It looks like the beginning of the episode, I would assume Felicity will be left alone at some point and Slade will grab her. Well at least according to the promo photos they released. And Laurel was taken by a man in mask not Slade.

    Not going to upset anyone because sneaks peeks are usually from the beginning of the episode, Slade DOES take Felicity as per picture, and laurel is more likely a distraction. Again.

    I think Felicity is a random grab, however. They all show up where Slade is at, Felicity is closest, so he grabs her as a human shield.

    This isn't a comic book. This is an adaptation which the creators expressly set out to be more realistic and Oliver's policy isn't realistic.

    It's an adaptation, but still trying to be true to the comic book hero code. "More realistic" yes, in some ways, but not in rejecting the code. And still with super heroes with super powers and super villains with super evil plans.

    Maybe but i think Laurel was always meant as a distraction. So Oliver would think this is the person on his list. And they move locations to a building where Felicity is held by Slade, why would Arrow take Felicity to that location and not Quentin. Or why isn't Nyssa showed there but we see Sara.

    I know but he went for Laurel. They abducted Laurel, Felicity will be taken in the process probably after they inject Slade with the cure. But no matter to it the writers/producers indicated that there will be a huge Olicity scene so I think tonight there will be sometjing for everyone.

    That will be Oliver's crucible for the episode. He doesn't want to kill but someone will be in such danger that he will have to.


    You know, like we saw a few episodes with the Count. If it works the first time, they're thinking why not try it again?

    Yeah to distract Oliver and maybe even Sara. He is still focused on that speech of Blood. So he thinks Laurel is the target Blood was talking about and decides he can leave Felicity safe at QC building. And the EP claimed it will be a surprise. Laurel seems quite obvious even to a casual viewer. Now taking Felicity seems more of a surprise.

    And the masked man randomly took Laurel. Slade knows how much Laurel means to Oliver(not saying more or less than the other Blonds), just remember how he was dragging Laurel's picture around the island in Season 1. You could be right it could be a distraction, but Laurel is Oliver's moral highground, he looks so much up to her and he was holding himself together because she was in his life and I think that Slade wants to destroy that.

    Superheroes aren't supposed to be realistic, they are supposed to be idealistic. Oliver thinking he can save the city without killing anyone is naive, but it is what is expected of a superhero. Its what allows them to be so irritatingly self-righteous all the time, if superheroes start killing people then they would lose the moral high-ground.

    All superheroes being idealistic and holding the moral high-ground went out the window a long time ago. The days of these characters all being a cape-wearing Mary Sue or a Gary Stu is gone.


    Superheroes these days are just as much about making the tough choice and doing what others don't have the ability to do or the stomach for just as much as idealism and heightened morality.

    For me she is a distraction, because this looks like the beginning of the episode. Of course they are following Slade's orders but that might have been used to lure Sara out, so she and Oliver are separated, not working as a team. But i think Laurel as a distraction was planned from the beginning. To make Oliver believe she is the target. Maybe something goes wrong for Slade and he takes Felicity and the original target was Thea and he cant get to her since she is with Merlyn.
    I wouldn't take what Blood said too serious because Slade's definition of love and a sane persons may wary. I mean he has this great love for Shado that in reality never happened. Now if we take in account Shado's personality and attitude, i can see why Slade would see similarities to Felicity, an innocent just like Shado, who believes in Oliver and his path to hero.


    Just give me the episode already *sighs*.

    And I think your idea of what a superhero is may be stuck in the past. Comic book superheroes are much, much closer to Jack Bauer these days than Superman. Batman is just Jack Bauer with a Cowl.

    Getting the job done without fatalities is fine but going to extreme lengths to avoid fatalities may put the same lives at risk you're trying to save and that what makes a hardline 'no killing' policy unrealistic.

    I saw them, but in this sneak peek Quentin said that Laurel was taken by Slade's soldiers. It can't be more specific. And Felicity might be taken in the process later when Oliver will come to Slade. Laurel is not a distraction.

    I think that: Slade first plan was kidnap Laurel because he though she was the one who Oliver's loved the most (i'm not saying oliver never loved Laurel i think he did it, but not anymore. I believe Laurel always be more than a friend for Oliver, but not this kind of love anymore. Laurel is an importante part of Oliver life's and this will not ever change.) and Slade put his plan in action. And after, when he found out more about what has change in Oliver's life he noticed that there is more people who Oliver truly cares. Felicity slowly became someone really important for Oliver. We have the looks, the touchs, the way that Oliver was jealous about Barry and her. Isabel was a spy for Slade and she told everything about Felicity to Salde; So, i think Slade kidnapped Laurel and, when is everybody working to save Laurel he kidnaps Felicity. Because, for my point of view Felicity means to Oliver the same that Shado means to Slade.

    Laurel could be the distraction for taking the city, as Oliver seems to think in this clip. Or she could be the distraction for taking Felicity because Oliver goes after her and leaves Felicity alone. Or Laurel could after all be the one Slade thinks Oliver loves the most.


    I like it that it's not clear yet which scenario it is.

    Maybe Slade's plan was to grab Laurel and Felicity goes to rescue her while Oliver, Sarah, Roy, and the League go to stop Slade's army? I think people (shippers) are reading too much into whether Laurel or Felicity gets kidnapped. It's not like the choice will be the definitive answer to the question of who Oliver is meant to be with. Slade probably assumes that Laurel is the one Oliver loves the most but that doesn't tell us anything about Oliver's thoughts on the matter.

    We know Oliver and Felicity have a big, emotional scene, which would make sense after the scene with Slade holding a knife to her throat; regardless of the circumstances that got her there. Since Laurel's arc this season was supposed to be about Canary's origin (whether she eventually assumes that identity or not), it would make sense if her big, emotional scene is with Sara.

    The EPs teased that someone says, "I love you," in the finale... But I think there will be enough going on without any big, romantic declarations. The "I love you" probably involves whichever character goes away at the end of the episode. I could see why Sara or Thea might plausibly leave Starling City at the end of the episode, but I think the only major characters at risk of dying are Slade and/or Isabel.

    It's possible, however I really don't see Felicity 'tagging along' with Oliver when he goes to do battle with Slade so I don't see why she would be there for an opportunistic grab in the first place.

Sooo i'm thinking they're going to split up at this point in show. I think Sara will go after Laurel (like iI said before) and then when it's Felicity's turn, then Ollie will go after her and say in his Arrow Voice.....SCREW...THIS...CITY!! LMFAO!! That would be real funny. Nah i'mI'm kidding, but seriously I think that's what the plan will be.

    I can see where you are coming from, but I still don't see Oliver actually allowing Felicity to actual 'go to battle' with him. Especially when he seems to be so light on back up at this moment.

    So the following three clues: 1. This sneak peak 2. The promo picture of Slade holding Felicity 3. The follow quote from Kreisberg - "Felicity is front and center in the battle to take down Slade... She does one of the most brave things she’s ever done in the course of the series, and certainly one of the bravest things we’ve ever seen anybody do in the course of the series."

    ... Have lead me to this speculation: Felicity goes after Slade with the cure hidden and offers herself to him in place of Laurel. This would give her the opportunity to inject him. Pure speculation. Could be totally wrong.

    I think Slade is trying to put Oliver in a moral dilemma. According to what we have seen on the show Slade should think Oliver loves Laurel the most. He also knows Oliver trusts and works closely with Felicity and Felicity loves Oliver courtesy of Isabel. Also I believe he has bugged the Arrow cave. I think his aim is to make Felicity against Oliver by demonstrating Laurel will always come first for Oliver and then kill both the girls. Why wouldn't he want to kill both?

    I would have more respect for Oliver's I will not kill policy if he hadn't bombed and killed a few Russian prison guards earlier this season. Then again we are not supposed to notice that.

    I want Felicity's tablet. It can do wonders and the battery lasts forever. Making a Satellite to do thermal imaging using a windows tablet. I want one now.
