  1. So, we now know who is kidnapped, right?

    ReplyDelete
  2. So it's Laurel! I really didn't thought Slade would go after her. This will upset some Olicity shippers Could Lance die? This seems suspicious, I wouldn't want that to happen, especially not to Laurel.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Belizo Júnior13 May 2014 at 17:22

the promo made looks is was felicity. but promos are always deceiveing.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Oliver should listen to Lance. He can't 'save' everyone and taking someone out doesn't mean he's not a hero.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Laurel won't be the only one Slade gets his hands on, as evidenced by a specific promo photo for this episode.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I disagree. Oliver has to try to save the city. If he doesn't, Laurel would still die from the explosion.

    ReplyDelete
  7. That's not what I'm referring to. I'm talking about Oliver's naive insistence on sticking to his 'no killing' policy.

    ReplyDelete
  8. It looks like the beginning of the episode, I would assume Felicity will be left alone at some point and Slade will grab her. Well at least according to the promo photos they released. And Laurel was taken by a man in mask not Slade.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Secret Chatrine13 May 2014 at 17:38

Why always Laurel the one gets kidnap? This "saving Laurel" thing is boring and annoying. Okay I'm done with Arrow -.-

    ReplyDelete
  10. "The city comes first" l o l

    ReplyDelete
  11. It's a comic book hero policy. It's not naive, it is part of the struggle which makes a super-hero more than a mere vigilante.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Not going to upset anyone because sneaks peeks are usually from the beginning of the episode, Slade DOES take Felicity as per picture, and laurel is more likely a distraction. Again.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I think Felicity is a random grab, however. They all show up where Slade is at, Felicity is closest, so he grabs her as a human shield.

    ReplyDelete
  14. This isn't a comic book. This is an adaptation which the creators expressly set out to be more realistic and Oliver's policy isn't realistic.

    ReplyDelete
  15. It's an adaptation, but still trying to be true to the comic book hero code. "More realistic" yes, in some ways, but not in rejecting the code. And still with super heroes with super powers and super villains with super evil plans.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Code isn't policy nor is it law and in an age when DC allows Superman to kill then it becomes more of a suggestion or guidepost than anything.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Maybe but i think Laurel was always meant as a distraction. So Oliver would think this is the person on his list. And they move locations to a building where Felicity is held by Slade, why would Arrow take Felicity to that location and not Quentin. Or why isn't Nyssa showed there but we see Sara.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I know but he went for Laurel. They abducted Laurel, Felicity will be taken in the process probably after they inject Slade with the cure. But no matter to it the writers/producers indicated that there will be a huge Olicity scene so I think tonight there will be sometjing for everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I think he taking Felicity is a desperate move after they corner Slade with the cure/antidote. That is at least my guess.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Laurel was taken by a masked man not Slade.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Probably because Slade said to abduct her, however.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Wow, what a shock, Lana's been - er, I mean Laurel's been kidnapped again.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Kathleen Kervin13 May 2014 at 17:58

Yeah, that's what I think. Oliver thinks that Slade kidnapping Laurel is to distract him from saving the city when it's really to distract him from Felicity being taken too.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Damn right.

    ReplyDelete
  25. this looks so f*cking awesome.! x3
can't wait to see it. =))
and did oliver really just pick the city over laurel.? finally! this was about damn time that he chooses something over her...
    love it

    ReplyDelete
  26. Kathleen Kervin13 May 2014 at 18:00

That will be Oliver's crucible for the episode. He doesn't want to kill but someone will be in such danger that he will have to.

You know, like we saw a few episodes with the Count. If it works the first time, they're thinking why not try it again?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Yeah to distract Oliver and maybe even Sara. He is still focused on that speech of Blood. So he thinks Laurel is the target Blood was talking about and decides he can leave Felicity safe at QC building. And the EP claimed it will be a surprise. Laurel seems quite obvious even to a casual viewer. Now taking Felicity seems more of a surprise.

    ReplyDelete
  28. And the masked man randomly took Laurel. Slade knows how much Laurel means to Oliver(not saying more or less than the other Blonds), just remember how he was dragging Laurel's picture around the island in Season 1. You could be right it could be a distraction, but Laurel is Oliver's moral highground, he looks so much up to her and he was holding himself together because she was in his life and I think that Slade wants to destroy that.

    ReplyDelete
  29. "If it works the first time, they're thinking why not try it again?"

Yep. Repeating itself is something Arrow has done too often and this 'no killing' issue is a nagging speed bump that I wish the show would just permanently remove already.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Superheroes aren't supposed to be realistic, they are supposed to be idealistic. Oliver thinking he can save the city without killing anyone is naive, but it is what is expected of a superhero. Its what allows them to be so irritatingly self-righteous all the time, if superheroes start killing people then they would lose the moral high-ground.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Juliana Carvalho13 May 2014 at 18:09

I'm so confused! I see reason behind every theory, i don't know what to think! lol

    ReplyDelete
  32. I read that Sara will saver Laurel and Slade goes after Felicity.

    ReplyDelete
  33. All superheroes being idealistic and holding the moral high-ground went out the window a long time ago. The days of these characters all being a cape-wearing Mary Sue or a Gary Stu is gone.

Superheroes these days are just as much about making the tough choice and doing what others don't have the ability to do or the stomach for just as much as idealism and heightened morality.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I think you're wrongly conflating the Jack-Bauer-type hero with the caped crusader, traditional superhero.

    ReplyDelete
  35. For me she is a distraction, because this looks like the beginning of the episode. Of course they are following Slade's orders but that might have been used to lure Sara out, so she and Oliver are separated, not working as a team. But i think Laurel as a distraction was planned from the beginning. To make Oliver believe she is the target. Maybe something goes wrong for Slade and he takes Felicity and the original target was Thea and he cant get to her since she is with Merlyn.
I wouldn't take what Blood said too serious because Slade's definition of love and a sane persons may wary. I mean he has this great love for Shado that in reality never happened. Now if we take in account Shado's personality and attitude, i can see why Slade would see similarities to Felicity, an innocent just like Shado, who believes in Oliver and his path to hero.

Just give me the episode already *sighs*.

    ReplyDelete
  36. And I think your idea of what a superhero is may be stuck in the past. Comic book superheroes are much, much closer to Jack Bauer these days than Superman. Batman is just Jack Bauer with a Cowl.

    ReplyDelete
  37. On a completely unrelated note let me just say that Jack Bauer could totally kick Batman's arse.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Before that happens, I need to see a Batman / Jack Bauer yell-off.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I really think Laurel is a distraction to Slade to kidnap Felicity.

    ReplyDelete
  40. "I have one more person to kidnap, so I will kidnap someone else first" doesn't make sense to me.

    ReplyDelete
  41. But if you can save the day without killing others, that is doing more than others, and making a tough decision instead of the easy way out.

    ReplyDelete
  42. SHIELDNCISArrowfan13 May 2014 at 18:37

the Laurel hater never giving up do they complain about a kidnapping when it just part of Slade plan

    ReplyDelete
  43. Getting the job done without fatalities is fine but going to extreme lengths to avoid fatalities may put the same lives at risk you're trying to save and that what makes a hardline 'no killing' policy unrealistic.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Batman is a master of 127 styles of combat, stealth and is always prepared gadget wise and is a master of strategy and you think Jack Bauer could take him? He wouldn't last ten seconds.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Kathleen Kervin13 May 2014 at 18:53

So Sara managed to bring the LoA after all.

I liked it that Felicity tried to stop Quentin as he raised his gun to shoot Nyssa.

And now I really don't know who is the target after all.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Batman is currently played by Ben Affleck so in this case, you are wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  47. It's so funny that some people just can't accept the fact that Laurel is the one who was kidnapped...

    ReplyDelete
  48. Kathleen Kervin13 May 2014 at 18:55

It's because the promo picture had Slade holding a knife against Felicity's throat.

    ReplyDelete
  49. SHIELDNCISArrowfan13 May 2014 at 18:55

she not kidnapped more like an abduction/hostage

    ReplyDelete
  50. Jack Bauer is basically Batman without the weird bat fetish. And since he doesn't feel the need to play dress up he could totally take Batman out. Maybe while he's busy ironing his cape.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I saw them, but in this sneak peek Quentin said that Laurel was taken by Slade's soldiers. It can't be more specific. And Felicity might be taken in the process later when Oliver will come to Slade. Laurel is not a distraction.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I think that: Slade first plan was kidnap Laurel because he though she was the one who Oliver's loved the most (i'm not saying oliver never loved Laurel i think he did it, but not anymore. I believe Laurel always be more than a friend for Oliver, but not this kind of love anymore. Laurel is an importante part of Oliver life's and this will not ever change.) and Slade put his plan in action. And after, when he found out more about what has change in Oliver's life he noticed that there is more people who Oliver truly cares. Felicity slowly became someone really important for Oliver. We have the looks, the touchs, the way that Oliver was jealous about Barry and her. Isabel was a spy for Slade and she told everything about Felicity to Salde; So, i think Slade kidnapped Laurel and, when is everybody working to save Laurel he kidnaps Felicity. Because, for my point of view Felicity means to Oliver the same that Shado means to Slade.

    ReplyDelete
  53. He's no where close to Batman.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I'm talking comic book Batman. Also that was terrible.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Kathleen Kervin13 May 2014 at 19:09

Laurel could be the distraction for taking the city, as Oliver seems to think in this clip. Or she could be the distraction for taking Felicity because Oliver goes after her and leaves Felicity alone. Or Laurel could after all be the one Slade thinks Oliver loves the most.

I like it that it's not clear yet which scenario it is.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Jack Bauer is currently being played by a computer screen. Giant 3d big screen is bigger. Ben wins due to his size.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I'm keeping the medium the same. Screen character vs. screen character. Since the current live-action Batman representative is Ben Affleck, it doesn't look good for Batman.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Ben Affleck negates any possible positive trait that can be applied. Any way you slice it, it's an automatic loss. :)

    ReplyDelete
  59. http://i.imgur.com/3hRU6px.jpg beats old age Keifer.

    ReplyDelete
  60. You are right. We just need to wait for the finale to find out which scenario it is)

  63. In which Slade's Minion screws up...

Slade to his minion: Bring me the girl Oliver loves most
    *minion brings Laurel*
Slade: GOD DAMMIT NOT THIS ONE. YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING RIGHT.
    Minion:...
    Slade: I'm surrounded by idiots

    ReplyDelete
  64. Maybe Slade's plan was to grab Laurel and Felicity goes to rescue her while Oliver, Sarah, Roy, and the League go to stop Slade's army? I think people (shippers) are reading too much into whether Laurel or Felicity gets kidnapped. It's not like the choice will be the definitive answer to the question of who Oliver is meant to be with. Slade probably assumes that Laurel is the one Oliver loves the most but that doesn't tell us anything about Oliver's thoughts on the matter.

We know Oliver and Felicity have a big, emotional scene, which would make sense after the scene with Slade holding a knife to her throat; regardless of the circumstances that got her there. Since Laurel's arc this season was supposed to be about Canary's origin (whether she eventually assumes that identity or not), it would make sense if her big, emotional scene is with Sara.

The EPs teased that someone says, "I love you," in the finale... But I think there will be enough going on without any big, romantic declarations. The "I love you" probably involves whichever character goes away at the end of the episode. I could see why Sara or Thea might plausibly leave Starling City at the end of the episode, but I think the only major characters at risk of dying are Slade and/or Isabel.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Slade says "I love you" to his mirror image. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  66. It's possible, however I really don't see Felicity 'tagging along' with Oliver when he goes to do battle with Slade so I don't see why she would be there for an opportunistic grab in the first place.

    Colour me curious.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Could be very possible, however I really don't see Oliver taking Felicity with him to confront Slade, so I don't see a reason for her being there unless she pulls a Laurel and goes anyway!

    ReplyDelete
  68. Well Felicity's still safe so I'm fantastic. Lol loved this clip. And look at Quentin!! Demanding to Ollie that he needs to kill again. Well according to Oliver, "the city comes first". Sooo i'm thinking they're going to split up at this point in show. I think Sara will go after Laurel (like iI said before) and then when it's Felicity's turn, then Ollie will go after her and say in his Arrow Voice.....SCREW...THIS...CITY!! LMFAO!! That would be real funny. Nah i'mI'm kidding, but seriously I think that's what the plan will be.

    ReplyDelete
  69. If Felicity dies (which is very unlikely but still probable), I WILL riot.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I dont know about everyone else but im forsure not certain about anything at this moment.... Felicity in my mind it has to be......

    ReplyDelete
  71. And by riot I mean sit in the corner of my room and be very upset

    ReplyDelete
  72. Nice point, but everywhere in the town it's dangerous to be and she wouldn't be safe. So the safest place to be is with him (Oliver) #charmedquote ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  73. I can see where you are coming from, but I still don't see Oliver actually allowing Felicity to actual 'go to battle' with him. Especially when he seems to be so light on back up at this moment.

Time will tell though! This is an episode I wish I could watch live, but since I'm a UK viewer I'll have to settle for several hours later!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Oliver says "I love you" to his quiver!

    ReplyDelete
  75. So the following three clues: 1. This sneak peak 2. The promo picture of Slade holding Felicity 3. The follow quote from Kreisberg - "Felicity is front and center in the battle to take down Slade... She does one of the most brave things she’s ever done in the course of the series, and certainly one of the bravest things we’ve ever seen anybody do in the course of the series."

... Have lead me to this speculation: Felicity goes after Slade with the cure hidden and offers herself to him in place of Laurel. This would give her the opportunity to inject him. Pure speculation. Could be totally wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  76. But they all still needs to walk together in that tunnel. So they are not splitting up until after they deal with Slade's men.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Kathleen Kervin13 May 2014 at 22:08

Or maybe Felicity tries to save Laurel herself with the cure since Oliver, Sara and Roy are busy fighting Slade's army.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Slade says "I love you" to Oliver and admits he was only trying to get his attention. :)

    ReplyDelete
  79. I think Slade is trying to put Oliver in a moral dilemma. According to what we have seen on the show Slade should think Oliver loves Laurel the most. He also knows Oliver trusts and works closely with Felicity and Felicity loves Oliver courtesy of Isabel. Also I believe he has bugged the Arrow cave. I think his aim is to make Felicity against Oliver by demonstrating Laurel will always come first for Oliver and then kill both the girls. Why wouldn't he want to kill both?

    ReplyDelete
  80. I'm from Serbia & I know how tough it is. Sometimes I try to life stream it but I go crazy cause of the interruptions & bad signal.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I would have more respect for Oliver's I will not kill policy if he hadn't bombed and killed a few Russian prison guards earlier this season. Then again we are not supposed to notice that.

I want Felicity's tablet. It can do wonders and the battery lasts forever. Making a Satellite to do thermal imaging using a windows tablet. I want one now.

    ReplyDelete
  82. OR after he gets injected with the cure, Slade says I love you to Shado right before she disappears.. T_T

    ReplyDelete
  83. I wonder if, like "Frequent Flyer", there's a "Frequent Kidnap Victim" program. Every fifth kidnapping, Laurel gets a latte on the house!

    ReplyDelete
  84. I totally missed that quote from Kreisberg - you could be onto something with Felicity being the one to inject Slade with the cure.

    ReplyDelete
  85. The link to the interview is here:

    http://www.greenarrowtv.com/interview-ep-andrew-kreisberg-previews-arrows-unthinkable-season-finale/17757

    ReplyDelete
  86. Yeah. I bet we'll find out that Slade and Felicity are actually knife-neck hugging.

    ReplyDelete
  87. What is worse than being kidnapped? Being kidnapped only as a distraction for the real kidnapping to take place. Laurel, not being the first option EVER.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I wonder though if they have to be fairly strong to force the injection arrows into the miraku soldiers tough skin. Felicity is one of the weakest.

    ReplyDelete
  89. thank you for the link, hadn't read that interview yet :)
btw i think your speculation about felicity could be totally possible. and i would totally love it.! x3

    ReplyDelete
  90. Plot twist - Oliver has to choose between Felicity and Laurel :o. But this seems slightly unlikely considering that Slade already made him choose between his mother and sister.

    ReplyDelete
  91. I will throw my bedroom slippers at the TV. Sometimes violence is warranted!

    ReplyDelete
  92. I think that Slade is still trying to figure out who Oliver loves the most and is setting up some kind of elaborate test to figure that out.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Kathleen Kervin15 May 2014 at 00:29

Oliver said to use exploding arrows. Maybe Felicity takes one of those.
