  1. Ugh, Garrett is disgusting. He took an abused boy who needed guidance and love and fucked him up even more.

  2. I kind of wish they had just tried to make Brett look younger this kid looks nothing like Ward!

True, but it would probably look really unconvincing.

  4. And then people would have complained he was too old to be playing a teenager.

  5. Well, he's a manipulative bastard who has shown he's not above lying, cheating and killing, so it really isn't a surprise that he took a lonely, abused boy and continue with the same pattern, instead of giving him the love and support.he needed...

  6. Yup, exactly. Plus, he showed this week that he doesn't give a crap about Ward's life when he tried to kill him to manipulate Skye into cracking the hard drive. I really hope Ward ends up killing Garrett in the finale after he finally realizes that he's just as abusive (if not worse, possibly) than his family was.

  7. I guess so I would rather that though than this kid (no offence to the actor!)

  8. Okay. Colour me interested, I'm now looking forward to seeing Ward's backstory.

  9. I'm so conflicted about that, LOL! On one hand, I want Ward to kill him and be done with it, because he really is no better tan his family. On the other hand, Garrett is my favourite villan on TV and, after such a great nemessis, I fear the show will feel... flat. So, yeah, he deserves to die, but I don't want him dead, unless they can deliver another great villan like him, and I have my doubts...

  10. LOL, I understand what you're saying. Garrett has had some awesome and hilarious one-liners. He's a great villain, but I really hate him for what he's done.

  11. Me too, but Klutzy:girl is right, people would've complianed about him being to old. Although now, those same people will complain that the kid doesn't look like him. LOL! People will always complain...

  12. People will always complain
Hahah so true, so so true.

  13. It's a universal truth, LOL. And I'm including myself, since I was obviously complaining about the kind no looking enough like Ward... we all complain...

  14. If he wasn't an abusive bastard, I would be a Garrett groupy. I mean, I liked him before Turn, turn, turn, but I fell in love with him after his coming out speech, so awesomely logical... He has to die, because he REALLY has to, is what he deserves, but he will be deeply missed.

  15. I actually feel the exact same way.

  16. ...also he's basically a Nazi.

  17. Brett is doing an AMAZING job with this storyline. I still have hope for SkyeWard. There is a reason why Brett said the following recently: "For all the shippers, SkyeWard is NOT DEAD." So I think there is more to the story. I've heard recent rumors that he's either brainwashed or a triple agent...I'm waiting till episode 22 to make any judgement on Ward's character. Chloe also recently said that SkyeWard are soulmates. She would never say that if he is pure evil. ;) So yup, for all the shippers, wait till episode 22 to freak out. Please! :) I think the writers know what they're doing. And ratings are going UP with all the recent SkyeWard promotion and trailers and focus. So fans are loving them together.

  18. They are trying to show us that Ward had no chance but to take Garrett up on his offer (otherwise he'd rot in jail), yet he had just tried to burn his brother alive.
Garrett is super evil, manipulative and all around as**ole: agreed.
He manipulated an emotionally fragile boy: agreed.
But Ward had already showed psychopathic tendencies before Garrett came along. As much as his family had abused him, burning someone alive, and that person being your brother is pretty sick in my book.

  19. Or just found another kid. I bet there are dozens of actors who are more similar to Brett Dalton than this one.
ps.: and yes, I read the comments below and I am complaining. :)

He is so dying. Whenever a show does a flashback ep of a character that is jeopardy, you can make a million dolar bet on his death.

  21. Wow poor Ward, i wonder what his parents did to him, we saw his asshole brother but something tells me his parents are even worse. Kids who just have mean older siblings don't try to burn them alive.
Also young Ward is so huge. I totally see why Garret would want to recrut him.

  22. He can't die, in fact i don't see any member of the team dying.
Love for Skye will save him "rolls out eyes"
There is a reason they included a scene with Deathlok almost killing Ward in last episode. I think it was a wake up call for him. He will realise how little he means to Garret and HYDRA and switches side. And when it matters most he will choose to save Skye and/or the rest of the team in the finale. And then it will be a long road to redemption in the 2 season for him.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Not so sure it counts as psychopathic with all we know about that brother. If he was a psychopath he would feel remorse. But he sure seem to hate himself for doing what his older brother made him do and I think he burned the house in a moment of despair, trying to make up for all the times he didn't defend their younger brother. He had a breakdown.

I think he will switch sides, but then die a good man sacrificing for Skye/The Team.

  25. Wow... you mean some people STILL ship SkyeWard? After last week?

I'm sorry, but after what happened before, it'd take something HUGE to make me believe that SkyeWard makes sense.

    ReplyDelete
  26. That would be the more belivable, honest outcome. But I have a horrible feeling they are going to go down the whole shippy redemption thing or try to pull off a tripple agent thing. I'm still not convinced Hand is dead.

I would love to be proved wrong but I have the feeling I wont be.

This is the one story line in the show I can see self destructing in a shippy morass. Which is a shame because its beena good story line, but they are going to whimp out in the end I am just waiting to see just how much of a *you have got to be kidding* me moment we are going to get.

  27. This is the one story line in the show I can see self destructing in a shippy morass. Which is a shame because its been a good story line, but they are going to whimp out in the end, I am just waiting to see just how much of a *you have got to be kidding* me moment we are going to get.

It will either be the switching sides for love. Which is a bit lame and insulting, because lets face it they are basically saying is she wasn't in the picture he would probably stay bad. Which doesnt say much for his moral character.

Or it was all a tripple agent thing, with Hand not being dead. Because I'm not totally convinced she is.

If he is a bad guy and they wanted to do it justice he will realise what a creep Garrett, is and stand up for the right side, and pay for his mistakes. Because brain washed or not, terrible past and manipulative phsyco's as a role model or not, he could see how Coulson and his team were good people, but he still killed. He knew what he was doing was wrong but he still did it. Doubts or not mislead or not he still commited cold blooded murder twice in the last few episodes. If they shove that all under the rug just because he is makes one right move because he is mooning over Skye then I'm finished.

They could pull it off and surprise me so I will be watching with crossed fingers. But I have the sinking feeling I will either be looking for a sick bag or something heavy to throw at the TV.

  28. No wonder Ward feels like he owes Garrett his life, because he does. Garrett is terrible. He took advantage of an adolescent who had no one else in the world and was terrified. Garrett made himself Ward's friend, when he had no one else just so he could use him. That's..........impressive. Can you imagine someone thinking that much ahead. What he did was horrible but I'm in awe. Truth is I want Garrett on my side if I ever get in trouble.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Not really. Garrett is nothing more than an opportunist, who blows with the direction of the wind. He has no compass.

  30. ["Well, he's a manipulative bastard who has shown he's not above lying, cheating and killing, so it really isn't a surprise that he took a lonely, abused boy and continue with the same pattern, instead of giving him the love and support.he needed.."]

Most spy agencies tend to recruit lonely and damaged people. It's their modus operandi and it's easier to guarantee their loyalty. I'm not saying that all spies are emotionally damaged like Ward. But guys like him are plenty in the intelligence services.

  31. Actually, many viewers are even MORE interested in SkyeWard now. Youtube is flowing with new fan videos for them. And there are a huge amount of new gif sets for them on tumblr. Plus, ratings are going up for the show in general with all the SkyeWard promotion and advertisement. I think fans like unique storylines.

We can't judge yet what will happen since we haven't seen the last 2 episodes. I think MORE surprise are on the way.

And yes, both Chloe and Brett are STILL saying there is hope for SkyeWard. :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. Yeah, I'm pretty sure the ratings are more about the show being awesome than about ships, really! Ward being a traitor was a really amazing twist, wether you're a shipper or not.

For the rest, I really just can't understand how anyone would want Skye to end up with the traitor of the show. To paraphrase Skye, it makes me want to ''throw up''. Ok, kidding, not that much, but I have a hard time buying it now. He would need some MAJOR redeeming just to be good enought to return with the team, let alone to be a love interest for one of the main character.

  33. You're entitled to your opinion. You asked, and I answered. From what I see online, fans are even MORE interested in SkyeWard now. That's based on all the new fan videos and tumblr posts about them. Not to mention all the twitter buzz and ratings being good. You can choose to not root for them. It's your choice. But there is definitely MORE interest for them now than before. I guess viewers love complicated and original storylines. If they had just been another pairing, then I don't think many would be this interested. Because there is more uniqueness and originality to them, that creates more buzz and attention.

I think there is more to the story here. I won't judge until I see episode 22. I think we are still missing some parts of the story. Two more episodes coming up, and I'm sure they'll contain surprises! :)

I'm going to trust Chloe/Brett's words when they say that SkyeWard is NOT done. Both are still saying that they are soulmates. So I'd rather trust them...

Again, everyone is welcome to their own opinions. You asked in your original post...and I simply replied.
