on this list i only watched Game of Thrones and a couple of season behind on Scandal (saving it for summer)

ReplyDeleteI watched a dozen of these shows so it's hard to narrow it down to just 2 but I went with my 2 favorites Sons of Anarchy and Justified.

ReplyDeleteTrue Detective was great but it was a miniseries more than anything so wont compare to series. Hannibal is good too, probably third. Mad Men has been ass for the last two season, as has boardwalk empire.
GoT and True Detective for me.

ReplyDeleteFrom the list, Game of Thrones and The Good Wife, both of them have the best acting on TV, the best pacing and storyline. Even while being two completely different shows they hold nearly equal ground in the quality of the storytelling they are building up.
ReplyDeleteIf it was on the list, I would have voted Revenge: Revenge is the most satisfying and entertaining tv show out there, with great acting and delightful soapy moments that makes you feel you are enjoying the show to its fullest.
These are the categories in which I think each show stands out:
Acting- The Good Wife. (runner up: GoT)
Storytelling- Game of Thrones. (runner up: TGW)
Personal Enjoyment- Revenge. (runner up: Arrow)
Character Development- Homeland. (runner up: Hannibal)
Shocking Values- Tie: Scandal and Game of Thrones. (runner up: Hannibal)
Some really good options here! I watch around 10 of these..my absolute favorite is Game of Thrones!

1) Game of Thrones
2) Scandal & The Newsroom (I can't pick one..I just can't!)
3) Orphan Black
4) Person of Interest & Homeland
5) The Blacklist
6) House of Cards
7) Bates Motel & OITNB
Although, all these shows I see have brilliant story lines and some seriously amazing actors. I can't wait to start watching The Americans and Hannibal, they're next on my list.

It was very hard choosing only two from this list but i went with True Detective and Game of Thrones.

ReplyDeleteFrom the list, I only watch POI and Scandal with some regularity and I pick POI (I´m finding Scandal a mess more and more). The other shows either I´ve watched an episode here and there or I´ve never watched at all...

ReplyDeleteHannibal has risen to my #1 drama, now that breaking bad is off.
ReplyDeleteMy top 10 today: Hannibal, Mad Men, True Detective, Game Of Thrones, The Good Wife, Masters of Sex, Orphan Black, The Americans and Shameless (yep, this is a drama, not a comedy). Orange is The New Black takes the 11th place.
Homeland dipped, now I rank it as the worst drama because it was the best two years ago (or at least the #2 since Breaking Bad was on)

I loved the character, but he should have died in Season 1,
Season 2 with him was a big stretch and Season 3 having him alive was outright catering to fans!
The most shockingly brutal death I have ever seen in movies or tv was on Sons of Anarchy. I will remember it to my dying day. No fictional murder has ever seemed so real to me. Some of the scenes in GoT have been very memorable, but they aren't permanently burned into my memory the way that SoA scene was.
