ReplyDeleteI thought the sword was more brutal than a gun. I kept thinking: "Slade, don't kill her with that sword", but in the end he did. It was so brutal to see that go right trough her heart. I would have prefered a bullet for Moira.

I wouldn't have killed her at all.
ReplyDeleteExactly my opinion. She was so good.Thea should've died instead of her IMO.She's useless in this show other than the constant whining!!
ReplyDeleteIt was nice to have her as an adult character. She will be missed.
ReplyDeleteExactly how they did it. A gun is too impersonal and this murder was very personal to Oliver at least. It was also pretty badass for Slade and epic for Moira.
ReplyDeleteIf only that were an option.
ReplyDeleteI didn't like her death, but if she had to die then I think they did it right. Slade chose to give her a more honourable death than a bullet to the head, which appeared to be what he was originally planning to do, beacuse she volunteered for it. It was well done.
ReplyDeleteI would have preferred Thea dying instead, but the sword was perfect.
ReplyDeleteVery strange poll... I prefer Thea die instead. I loved Moira, she was my favorite heroine((((((
ReplyDeleteI based the poll on an article (see top), because the writers had a discussion whether to kill Moira with a sword or with a gun. So I wanted to see what we, the fans, would think of that.
ReplyDeleteKilling her with an arrow would've been so sick!
ReplyDeletei think arrow as a paradox
ReplyDeleteI don't really think the weapon matters... what's important is how the character dies, or who kills them.
ReplyDeleteI Totally Agree.
ReplyDeleteIt was. A gun would have been too sleazy given the dignity with which Moira died. Slade might be a psychopath on drugs but he still respected her courage & strength. Still his motive for killing her is too hazy..he probably knew that she would sacrifice herself for her children & it was the easier way to ensure Blood gets elected as Mayor. There is always more to the choices Slade makes.
ReplyDeleteI chose Other: Sooner! Her character has been annoying & useless since after the trial BS
ReplyDeleteAlways swords. Much more entertaining. Daggers are also nice (for tv deaths, of course, in real life they are all too scary)
ReplyDeleteITA. Moira was still a viable character and they created so many different shades to her that she wasn't a one-note cardboard. Too soon. BTW - Since the Queens are bankrupt, how is Oliver going to keep buying all the fancy tech equipment that gets destroyed each week?
ReplyDeleteConsidering it was Deathstroke doing the killing, they got it right. Sword.
ReplyDeletewith Slade doing the killing, I'd think that he'd use the "arrow thru an eye" method of killing to torture Oliver, but perhaps he is saving that for Oliver, and he is known for his swordplay anyway so it makes sense that he'd use that as it is more personal
ReplyDeleteI WOULDN'T!!! But if i had to!! I'd just drug her coffee and let her die in her sleep.
ReplyDeleteAlex! There you are, Jesus! Where have you been? I literally JUST asked myself where you were and here you are. lol
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same, just didn't know how to word it. Like how Slade killed Alexi Leonov
ReplyDeleteWhat I think I liked best in that scene was Slade had a tear in his eye, which I think shows he's not totally gone (not trying to redeem him, merely observing it's like how Roy was there enough to ask Sara to kill him).
ReplyDeleteOr it could just be Manu, as it was a very emotional scene.
You know how it is, real life gets in the way sometimes. Haha.
ReplyDeleteYeah, and definitely one of the best actors. Thompson is a class act.
ReplyDeletehaha yeah i know it. It's good to see you anyway. = )
ReplyDeleteAnd that WOULD be a good reason for Roy to turn back into his usual self and take up the name Speedy as a way to honor Thea and it would tie up another loose end with Malcolm Merlyn's parentage and come back to "avenge" her death or something.
ReplyDeleteGun - just like Shado.
