Please don't tell me Elena and Caroline are going to fight over Stefan AGAIN. If Caroline gets too catty about the visions and dreams, Stefan will probably decide again that he isn't interested in her romantically. He's too mature for her, unless it's a one-night stand sort of deal. I don't think Stefan should be in a relationship with Caroline or Elena. It just seems wrong. The Stelena dream seems more lifelike in that first photo than it does in the promo. I still don't understand why there are kids in the dream. Neither Stefan nor Elena is supposed to be able to have children, and neither would be the type to try to adopt innocent human children.
I completely forgot that Bonnie is supposed to find out about Jeremy and Liv. That's how insignificant that story seems. At least we got a look at Markos not dressed like an ancient soldier. It looks like he's in the house that the Originals lived in while they were in Mystic Falls. I suppose the TVD crew was glad to have that set handy.
I think Stefan & Elena will have visions of a fantasy dream-world where they are human and have a "normal" life. It's the life Elena could have had if she had met Tom Avery (not Stefan) and married him.
Stefan needs a a love interest that is not an existing character. He should not get back with Elena (after everything with her and Damon) and he shouldn't be with Caroline either. He needs to meet someone new.
Maybe since Klaus moved to NOLA the house has been abandoned so Markos decided to take up residence there?
You're probably right about Markos taking residence in the abandoned house. Who is Tom Avery? I'm not sure how Elena having dreams of being human with Stefan would serve any purpose for the Travelers, unless the dreams are caused by Stefan and Elena being the last two doppelgangers, and the Travelers have nothing to do with it. Something cosmic could be trying to make Stefan and Elena want to reproduce.
I wonder how connected doppelgangers are to travelers. Paul Wesley said himself that no one knew much about Tom, except that he was thrown into a world he didn't understand. I keep wondering what the point of that character was if he was just going to get killed, and I didn't see why Stefan would be so calm about someone else getting killed by Enzo to save him, unless Stefan cut a deal with Sloan and another body switch was pulled, and Tom saw enough of Stefan's memories to impersonate him. In that case, we could be looking at another "one of nature's loopholes." Maybe if vampires have spirits that have traveled into other bodies, they can have children. Klaus was sort of a traveler before he broke his curse, but that would only mean that he might have children or descendants that he doesn't know about. If Stefan is actually Tom, and Stefan can't be brought back, that could be the rumored plot twist in the season finale that would wreck the relationship between Stefan and Damon. If I'm wrong and Stefan is still himself, he could still have left his body sometime in the past. Not all of Stefan's history has been covered in flashbacks.
I don't know why the part with the kids in that dream bugs me. Maybe it's the interview I read where Julie Plec stated that Tyler's crossover was about a mythology that all three showrunners were planning to put on both shows. JP also said that she didn't know yet if they would be able to pull it off. That interview was a long time ago.
An episode where Elena is having happy family erotic dreams when not an episode and two earlier she was all over his older brother. Talking about how she will struggle from thinking about where she wants Damon's hands! An a few episodes later she will be stressing over Damon again. That's not being TORN, that's being greedy.
This is like the sire bond all over again. Outside influence is making Elena hormonal for the other brother from the one she is meant to love. Am I suppose to pity her, root for her, or just be sick! I pick the last!
Whether its jealously or concern, but If Caroline is going to ring Damon about Elena's 'Happy' Dreams in front of Elena, I with Caroline! I would be doing the same thing. While Caroline narrowly saved Stefan from dying while her supposed best friend, was rolling in bed with his brother or daydreaming about it in a school meeting over her little brother. Now is Elena is sat infront of the girl harping on about 'doing Stefan' while their children are in the background, a life Caroline will never have even in her dreams....I say tell on the whore! Caroline's loyalty is with more with Stefan anyway.
You're right about Caroline's loyalty. I'm pretty sure both Bonnie and Caroline liked Katherine better as a friend, but wouldn't admit it. That's a sad thing.
I think that starting in Season 4 Caroline started becoming better friends with Stefan. I actually think it may have to do with the fact that both Stefan & Caroline preferred human Elena and didn't like how she changed when she became a vampire. Elena's not the same person she was back in Season 1 or even Season 2 that Caroline was friends with and even in season 1 Caroline was better friends with Bonnie that she was Elena (it seemed like Bonnie was both Caroline and Elena's best friend and Caroline & Elena only got closer after Caroline was turned but then started drifting apart when Elena was turned).
I know what you mean. There is no growth or balance between these three girls. Bonnie just stayed overly loyal, Caroline became a vampire yet still had her personality in check....Elena just went selfish, in fact I think she was always inconsiderate, neglectful and detrimental! How else would you explain her running off towards danger, dispute better judgment given and knowing full well her friends would follow her anywhere, her not bothering with Bonnie 80% of the time! Caroline being just the girl to room with. I think her true colours are showing but where Katherine openly embraced them, Elena hides them in denial.
The dress shop scene when Caroline was picking out her dress with Bonnie....now that was a connection between friends! I don't see that with Caroline and Elena or Bonnie and Elena.
I don't think Caroline's concern over Elena's possible attention toward Stefan should lead to the assumption that Caroline wants Stefan romantically. Caroline is very loyal and Elena turning her attention so fast towards Stefan right after a break up with Damon is just as bad as it was when Katherine did it when she was impersonating Elena. It's not fair to Stefan and it's likely not even what Elena really wants anyways since it's travelor induced dreams, so it's not fair to Elena either.
The show might be leaning towards that post-high school effect where childhood friends drift apart due to changes in their personalities during college. If the show is really just about young adults, which I doubt since the actors and characters will only get older, this season and the next could involve Caroline and Elena coming to the conclusion that they just can't be friends anymore. Aspects of their personalities that they used to ignore about each other became exaggerated when both of them became vampires. Elena can no longer ignore Caroline's spiteful behavior and constant focus on material things, and Caroline is unable to understand that Elena has been through enough and a genuine friend wouldn't cross a certain line with Stefan. I don't think Caroline is capable of very deep friendships or relationships because she was turned at age 16 or 17. She will always go back to who she was in high school because she has a cheerleader's personality and it's been exaggerated. I mean, come on, she basically told Elena to break up with her boyfriend or they wouldn't be friends anymore. Only children do that. Elena wasn't much older than Caroline when she was sired, but too much tragedy in Elena's life when she was human caused her to grow up fast. I think her friends, especially Caroline, made Elena feel more her age, but without them, and especially the more time she spends with Damon, Elena will eventually outgrow adolescent behavior. The way she talked about never giving up on Damon sort of mirrored the way Elijah, a 1,000-year-old, talked about never giving up on Klaus. Maybe Elena's destiny, or her "One True Love," is a character who won't be introduced until Delena is finally finished. When that happens, Elena will have learned from a very toxic relationship that some people shouldn't be together just because they love each other. I should say right now that I hope that happens soon because I'm sick of what the show's producers are putting us all through. The break-up had better be worth it.
I think Stefan understands how things change when a human becomes a vampire, and if there's anything he doesn't like about Elena, it's the fact that she chose to be with Damon. Elena should be upset about how long Katherine was in her body and what Stefan did, but he was her first love and now something is pushing them together. I don't see why the Travelers would do an actual spell to get something they already have. Tom was killed to make Stefan and Elena's blood as powerful as it could be, and the blood has already been used to bring back Markos. The next phase of the Travelers' plan, according to a synopsis, doesn't even involve doppelgangers. The biggest drama will be centered around Enzo. Stefan and Elena's dreams are probably happening because Stefan and Elena are the last two doppelgangers. Whatever spell created them might be forcing them to take action to keep their lines going, even though neither of them can reproduce according to the show's mythology to date. This next arc will put the doppelganger issue to rest because Stefan or Elena, or both, will search for ways out of whatever is pushing them together. That would mean figuring out the cause of the so-called doppelganger curse. The Travelers might know something, but at the same time they're the enemy and now Bonnie is the one who needs to be saved.
It looks like Bonnie is helping someone clean up a dead body, or a Traveler just got killed for attacking her and he's passing through her. I think one of the Travelers in the Paleyfest promo was wearing a suit. They might all die and get brought back again by the season finale.
Whoever Katherine's Silas doppelganger was - she never met him. Katherine became a vampire in 1492 - so the Silas doppelganger probably lived a human life and died 500 years ago. The same with Stefan - he only met Katherine & Elena so he didn't meet the doppelganger from his own time period (Stefan died in 1864) and she would be dead.
Elena never met Tom - even though he was the doppelganger she should have been paired with.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

Just what were the writers thinking?

Dead? I'm guessing not all were discovered and hence died without anyone knowing
ReplyDeleteThis break sucks.
