  3. Is anyone else finding John a far more interesting character than Stephen? I dont think this show is gonna get renewed, but he just seems a far more interesting character than Stephen.

  4. I don't know I mean yeah I like John but I think Stephen just keeps the show interesting and I look forward to what his character will be doing next!

  5. A good example is the interplay between John and Astrid vs Stephen and Astrid. The latter comes off as a very strange almost awkward friendship.. The former for some reason seems a more casual interaction and a slow build.

  6. Another dumb promo making the show look like a fratboy comedy. Great. Also, I love how Hillary having tried to get Astrid killed is being treated as a joke now. *rolls eyes*

  7. Yes,me. I have always thought that John was way more interesting than Stephen. I usually go to the to kitchen or something when Stephen is on....

  8. Hahahaha did you see Cara's face? Stephen wtf?? Hhaha i think he was high on that dance floor. I hope Astrid punches Hilary in her face.

  9. Woa that was a totally different promo then the one before, This one makes you more happy, vs the other one exited.

  10. Maybe because now the friendship between Stephen and Astrid does seem awkward. But I still like him more. and to me it seems like Astrid and John new friendship seems to work, because John has that experience angle to him and he is able to help those who are lost.

Basically the Experience is what attracts? Like with many other things, those Hermit style characters are popular. In this case I'm meaning hermit more as those with experience.

  11. If I were Astrid I'd pretty much tell Stephen he can either kick Hillary to the curb or kiss our friendship goodbye. It gets on my nerves that they're framing this as "OMG HAHAHA, that's so funny, Astrid doesn't like the girl who tried to have her KILLED. She's probably just jealous cuz she still likes Stephen." WTF?!

  12. I think almost everyone does, including the people who like Stephen. John has much more of the magnetic leading man quality about him, more heart, more charisma, more layers, more interesting relationships with other characters. I personally think John should've been the lead, not that it would've made a huge difference because he's probably the one with the most screen time after Stephen.

  13. i guess Im trying to find a connection with the show. Im not following the character of Stephen really. Hes either hyper or not.. just not very consistent. John seems more level, perhaps less easy to rile. Cara... well she isnt the same in each episode so its hard to get a read on her. Russell.. well Russell is obviously in the show for some Comic Relief so its also hard to read him

  14. If ur looking for a connection to the show. Then I think it's ok to feel john is not interesting and when you look at just him it's true. Even I feel he is a good guy. But me being who I am classify character types and see him as a hermit style who you generally inclined to like.

I usually am hope biased and usually just follow the person who I will see tru the end. But there are plenty of times where that is not the case.

  15. This is a completely different promo than the previous one, and they have different tones too (this promo is funny and the other one is exciting).

  16. What?? Who said that? Haha Idt anyone is taking it like that. TBH it doesn't really bother me. I mean no, it's not funny, I'm not laughing, b/c it's kinda cheesy. But they're (the writers) are trying to make light out of a serious.situation and we've seen this time and time again, on TV/film, and sometimes the scenarios are worse than this one. So it's not a big deal to me. But I WOULD laugh my ass off if Astrid punched the hell outtend her. And she's all, Stephen are you gonna do something? And he says....NOPE!! LOL that would be rich.

As for Astrid being light on the matter. Again they both (Astrid n Stephen) don't know that Hilary was the cause of it. Also i think b/c Astrid is well aware that Stephen is a double agent, she knows that she can't blow his cover. I also feel that now she can relate to Stephen in someway b/c in her mind, he's fighting to stay alive everyday. And b/c of John's hardcore therapy, that Astrid was able to breathe again. Astrid doesn't know that Hilary is sleeping with Stephen. She only knows they're partners. I feel that once the cat is out of the bag, that Hilary was the one that snitched. She'll most likely get her ass beatby both of them. Stephen will tell her to kick rocks, of course Stephen is gonna chose Astrid over Hilary.

  17. But they both made explicit references to Hillary having tried to have Astrid killed. Stephen actually says so in this very promo.
You do make a good point about how Astrid wouldn't want Stephen to blow his cover by being on the outs with Hillary, though. Then again, I'm not sure there'll BE a cover left to blow much longer. Dude has "gone native". We're like one step away from Stephen teaming with The Founder against his fellow TP... and of course he won't realize what a mistake he's making until it's too late.

  18. Yes they did. But that doesn't necessarily mean what we think it means. They could be referring to..oh she brought it up, so she was the catalyst for my Uncle to look into it. And when Stefan heard about it he went straight to Jedikiah, and Jedikiah told him off like he was solely his doing. He didn't even bother to bring up Hilary. He took full responsibility then later blamed it on The Founder. So I can understand how Stephen has it pieced it. Well more like annoyed he hasn't but I can see why he's off.

Of course not. That's how it goes right? Finding out last minute... shocker! (Rolls eyes)
