  1. Different words but it's the same conversation over and over again.

  2. What difference does it make to Elijah if the werewolves get moonlight rings and won't have to turn on a full moon? He's obviously been handing out the spell for daylight rings (as have the rest of The Originals) and now they're all over the place. It seems like allowing vampires to walk in the sun is a bigger threat than werewolves not turning (because when they do turn they often seem to accidentally kill people).

  3. It's not about rings. It's about trust and Elijah has very little trust left when it comes to Klaus.

  4. Klaus I think stopped trusting people a while back. I remember him flat out telling Stefan in Season 4 that he trusted no one. I think Klaus has just been betrayed so many times over the centuries that he's unable to trust anyone at this point because he believes that they inevitably betray him because he believes that everyone is out for their themselves (he told Cami that everyone does whatever is in their self-interest regardless of who gets hurt - so that's his worldview). He sort had let his guard down around Marcel and that lead to Marcel & Rebekah summoning Mikael - so I think that every time he does start to open up to people something happens and he goes back to shutting people out.

I'm not sure if there is anyone that Elijah trusts at this point either. Even Hayley already went behind his back and made a deal with Sophie to dig up Celeste's remains so I have a hard time buying that Elijah would actually trust her and he seems to believe she needs to be monitored (spying her in the bayou even) - which would indicate a lack of trust.

  5. I don't think that's why Elijah was lurking in the Bayou. At least that's not how I interpreted that visit.

  6. I don't understand why Elijah is so against Klaus helping the wolves, he's just coming off like a dick. Elijah wanted Klaus to help the wolves in the past and now he is and suddenly he doesn't like it. I don't get it. This even helps Hayley so he should be all over it since it would spare her from ever having to turn again and in turn helps the baby since the baby would be safe around her and the other wolves during full moons.

  7. Klaus changes his mind way too qiuckly, Elijah way too slowly.
Klaus wants to be a leaders of hybrids, they don't want to play along.
He jumps at the oppotunity to have powerful witch Davina, she doesn't want to be his tool, he changes his mind again.
He decides to be vampire leader, then don't want to play along.
Now he thinks werewolves will still allow him to sit at the cool kids table once they are the popular kids in HS. (spoiler alert, they won't, LOL)
It's really quite amusing to watch him try to find a clique that would accept him.
Elijah just knows Klaus. He knows how changeable Klaus is. He (Elijah) made a decision to try to make peace among factions and he is sticking with it, at least for a while.

  8. I think that Elijah has a bit of a savior complex. Even though Hayley wants to be with the other werewolves and Klaus is fine with that and thinks the baby will be better off growing up with the werewolves (and now wants to unite the werewolves together) none of that involves Elijah. As much as Elijah says he wants to see Klaus take an interest in Hayley and the child whenever he does do that Elijah generally steps in and tries to protect her himself - so he wants Hayley to be living with him so he can keep an eye on her because he wants to be the one to protect her. I don't think Elijah wants to be pushed out of the way for the werewolves and he seemed angry when Klaus stated that the werewolves were also his family (because I don't think Elijah has ever viewed it that way since Klaus did not know he was a werewolf growing up and then had the hybrid curse put on him so him being a werewolf is a pretty recent development for Klaus).

  9. Klaus has always consistently felt like he never belonged and he really wants to just fit in somewhere. He was always singled out by Mikael as a child and then found out he was the only child of Esther's who was also a werewolf so he didn't really fit in with the rest of the Originals because he was different. He wanted to create the hybrids because he didn't want to be the sole member of his race and he thought that if there were more hybrids he'd have a family where he felt like he belonged. Once they turned on him and tried to kill him he then killed them out of self-preservation and looked pretty sad and hurt when he felt like he had to kill them.

I think his alliance with the werewolves is actually more about the child. He wants her to have a family where she belongs (something he's never had) and he believes that the werewolves with accept his child (the vampires and witches won't) and that the best thing for his daughter would be to grow up surrounded by a werewolf family.
