Shulman & Associates is downsizing.
TVLine has learned exclusively that original Mindy Project castmember Zoe Jarman, who plays naive, confidence-challenged receptionist Betsy Putch on the Fox comedy, will not be returning as a series regular in Season 3.
A show spokesperson confirmed the news, but noted that Jarman “has been asked to guest star, so it’s possible that fans will see her next season.”

She's basically window dressing on the show so I'm not surprised
ReplyDeleteI always liked the character and the actress, but the show had no idea what to do with her. She and Beverly barely even appear anymore.
ReplyDeleteNot a surprise that Amanda Setton ran away the minute she had a chance. Although, her character on The Crazy Ones was actually quite the same.
ReplyDeleteAw, I like Betsy. This is a little sad.
ReplyDeleteI feel kinda bad for actors/actresses who are regulars on a show and yet are given almost no material to work with.
ReplyDeleteRight now, from what I heard and read recently that they are adding new members of this show, first a recurring guests and then accepted as permanent members of this show's third season main cast:
ReplyDeleteNiecy Nash, Allison Tolbert, Shonda Rimes and Rhea Perlman.
This might change Zoe's mind of staying in The Mindy Project more longer and this will help all young adult fans and characters get along with both Beth and Rhea along the way.
FOX may have got careless getting rid of both Anna Camp and Amanda Setton in a hurry, but it has been revealed that there was a general financial collapsing incident on the entire network. It is NOT Mindy Kaling's fault at all.
FOX owner Rupert Murdoch fired member Kevin O'Reilly for this type of incident, so this show is not the only problem that they are having. Glee, New Girl and So You Think You Can Dance are having some breakdowns along the way. But everything in FOX will be back to normal when Season 2014-2015 begins.
It was that former FOX member Kevin O'Reilly who caused this mess on this show, so FOX owner Rupert Murdoch got rid of him.
ReplyDeleteShe will next season, so hang on.
ReplyDeleteNot yet, klutzy_girl.
ReplyDeleteIt was the network's fault, not this show's, LittleDreamer.
