This week's episode makes me wonder what would have been The Mentalist without Teresa Lisbon. Lately, the show has been focused on her: it's her path, her future with or without Patrick Jane. This point comes to break with Pike's proposal to move with her in D.C. She has to decide whether she stays in Austin or go to Washington. Before start talking about that, let's take a moment to take a look at the case. A woman, Madison, was found dead in an exclusive men's club. Since no one can have any contact with the world outside, how did the woman manage to get in there? Soon, Jane and the team realize she was an escort - and she had an affair with one of the waitress of the club. The key to solve the case was in Jane's little magic show, with the help of his assistent - Teresa Lisbon - on stage. That scene was absolutely pure magic: they trust each other, the have fun together, that's the real power in Jane and Lisbon's relationship. In the end, Lisbon was right "Women are distraction?"

Back to the love triangle, it becomes clear the bond between Lisbon and Pike. Even Jane looks so compliant when he manages to make Lisbon have her plan with Agent Pike. He wants her to be happy, and if Pike is the right man for her, he's happy too because "You deserve a good guy." Is Teresa so sure about Patrick's sentence? Meanwhile, she's living her fairy tale: she has a great guy who's totally in love with her, absolutely devoted to her, but does he love his job as much as he love her? Maybe Pike's pushing too much forward when he tells her about the job offer he received in D.C. and then he asked her to move with him. Lisbon is shocked at first, she has almost tears in her eyes; she swallows and I bet she's wondering if that's what she really wants. As it's been said, Pike is the opposite of Jane. "You're a bad liar, I like that in a man", says Lisbon to Pike. She's learned to recognize when someone's lying thanks to Jane. I've already said a lot about J\L's relationship, but now it's Lisbon turn. This is her journey; in the end, she needs to find herself with or without him - that has been the purpose since The Mentalist 2.0 started.

What do you think about Pike's proposal? What is Lisbon going to say?
