Zap2it: I'm so happy Raven joined up with the teens on Earth, because she's such a cool character. She's tough, she's smart, she's independent, but she still has a heart. What's it like playing such a dynamic character?
Lindsey Morgan: I love playing Raven because I feel like Raven is a better person than I am. It's cool to play someone that I would aspire to be. She's a good inspiration.
Let's talk about her relationship with Finn. We've heard how they've spent their whole lives together and there's clearly a lot of history there. Will we get to see that play out in flashbacks?
No, unfortunately there aren't any flashbacks to see it. But if we have the chance to go to a second season the writers all thought that it would be interesting to do each character in flashbacks to show how they grew up. But there's no flashbacks to show Raven and Finn yet, but they've been together pretty much their whole lives. They were best friends and Raven's family wasn't really in the picture. And the only person that ever really took care of her was the boy next door, Finn. As children he would share his meal rations with me, to being there all throughout school, he was pretty much the only stable thing in my life. Everyone else in my life would come and go and I couldn't depend on them. Finn was the only real rock. He's my first love and my only love and my best friend. And kind of my only friend.
I think that's what makes it so heartbreaking, how Raven risked everything to come to Earth to be with him at the most awkward timing ever since he just hooked up with Clarke.
Exactly. Oh yeah. It puts Finn in a very peculiar position and it makes him really have to ask himself some really tough questions. I think it's possible to love someone but not always be in love with someone and I also think it's very possible to love two people at the same time. Finn's heart is literally torn into two. I think him and Clarke really connected but he's known Raven his entire life. So there's this question of what's the grass like on the other side? Who's this new girl? He also thought he'd never see me again. As far as he was concerned, I was dead to him. I'm in space and he's on Earth. Finn did the best that he could with what he knows. We definitely get thrown into very difficult positions.

ReplyDeleteHaha.
ReplyDelete"(Finn) and Clarke really connected" - oh please, they barely know each other. Why can't writers/actors etc just admit - they fancied each other and had sex when they felt lonely and needed someone. Which is absolutely fine and human, I just don't buy that it's anything deep. The dialogue between is so cliched and rushed.
ReplyDeletePlus Raven is too awesome to be dragged down by this blasted triangle. If the writers want to prove they're as dark as they want to be - they should kill off Finn. That would defy expectations :D
Finn is the only character I don't like so I wouldn't mind if they kill him off.
ReplyDeleteI like Raven and Lindsey but I can't believe she thinks anyone cares about the love triangle or Finn/Clarke. Everywhere I only see people caring about Bellamy/Clarke.
ReplyDeleteTrue and I doubt she wil stay alive much longer. Easy target.
ReplyDeleteI hope don't kill her off and it seems that if the show gets renewed she will come back because she talked about season two in WonderCon.
ReplyDeleteNo offence to Finn but I would love it if that's how they chose to deal with the "love triangle". Have Clarke and Raven come to some sort of understanding and then BAM! kill him off. There's been a few (a lot) of deaths on this show so far but none of any real consequence to the characters that remain. Charlotte's death had some impact in that Bellamy and Clarke came to a very tentative agreement about running things but killing Finn would add a whole other dimension to the interactions between certain characters.
ReplyDeleteRaven should get her own love interest if necessary. Most people don't stay with their first love anyway. A pairing of Bellamy and Clarke would take away the shows darkness and turn it into a soap opera. They are supposed to lead the group as opponents.
ReplyDeleteThe love triangle and Finn/Clarke would turn the show into a soap opera and just like any other CW show. Bellamy/Clarke have the most interesting dynamic and they could have a great relationship if they develop it slowly.
ReplyDeleteKilling Finn off would be the best. They have already filmed S1 but it could happen in S2.
ReplyDeleteIve noticed the actor playing Finn did not appear in the cast panels, wondercon, does not interact with the other casts in twitter, or appears in cast group photos.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they did kill him off :o
Well, there's no guarantee he's in all of season 1 :)
ReplyDeleteUnlike everyone else I am a fan of Finn! Keep him alive!!! :D
ReplyDeleteYou are not alone :-) Finn is great. There are some Finn/Clarke shippers out here!
ReplyDeleteAnd the fact that B/C has garnered so much support already shows that people like their push and pull/ conflicted ideals - which hasn't even been intentionally romantic - and not the contrived cheesy triangle crap that the CW execs imagine the tweenyboppers like.
ReplyDeleteThis pairing could have so much potential to be a mature cool relationship esp with their conflicted leadership ideals... As long as the show doesn't become centred around it like some other shows *cough*...
