Thanks to Justin for the heads up.
"Teen Wolf" Season 4 -- Monday, June 23 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT: Still healing from tragic losses, Scott, Stiles, Lydia and Kira return to a new semester of school with more human worries than supernatural, while also trying to help their new friend, Malia, integrate back into society. But Kate Argent's surprising resurrection brings a new threat to Beacon Hills along with the emergence of another mysterious enemy known simply as The Benefactor.

  2. Looking forward to it. I don't think that they will be able to top last season, but I can't wait to see them try!

  3. Ugh to have Kira in the Synopsis but not Allison just doesn't seem right

at least they have to update the opening ... finally

  8. The only thing about this that sounds even remotely interesting is Kate's resurrection. The show is headed into a direction that's a little frustrating. They keep bringing in new characters, but apparently MTV can't (or has no interest in) securing the actors' contracts so most of them leave before their story lines are given their due (Jackson, Erica, Boyd, Isaac, Cora, Allison) and the ones that are left are so badly written that it's painful (Malia in particular - the actress makes up for some of it, but it can't undo the fact that her character doesn't make sense). I wish they'd focus on the core characters they already have rather than bringing in a dozen new ones every season.

So excited glad we don't have to wait a year for the next season

  10. Really can't wait. I already miss Allison. But its' easily one of my favorite shows. Especially after the spectacular season 3. How are they going to follow that? :)

I'm sill not sure I'm coming back. I know Allison wasn't doing much lately, but killing a main character has always been done deal for me. I'll have to watch the first episode and see...

  12. Allison wanted to leave to do something else because she's 29 and playing a teenager.

  13. Yes, and Jackson wanted a role that was paid better, Cora got the lead in "Reign", the Alpha twins star on some HBO show, and Erica and Isaac just wanted to do something different. Which all makes perfect sense from the actors' point of views, but it doesn't change the fact that it's a disaster for a show and its story telling when they keep losing cast members when their story arcs are clearly not finished.

  14. I'm going to miss Isaac. I know he was pretty useless, but Daniel was hot, and I loved his one liners...

I'm obviously going to watch this season, but it'll be different. It's going to be hard adjusting.

  15. I am genuinely curious to see if this ends up being the last season for a few of the actors especially Dylan. Seeing as several casts members are already gone and they seem to be replacing them with new characters I won't be surprised if Dylan and some of the others who can have more success outside of the show start to part ways.

  16. What about Derek? How is Derek? Where is Derek? Is he still shirtless?
    Inquiring minds want to know.

  17. Sooo... if they're trying to help Malia to 'integrate back into society'... that means that her wanting to go back to being a coyote and go back to the wild (like she said in Echo House) has been completely dropped, doesn't it?

And if in the first episode it's been two months and Derek being missing has gone completely unnoticed / ignored by the pack, I give up on this show.

Also, I want a PROPER explanation for WHY THE HELL the ONLY character actually given a funeral scene on this show is suddenly back from the dead (and apparently a different type of were- though she was turned by a werewolf's claws...)

yeah... to watch teen wolf you have to ignore continuity and things that make sense and reasons why stuff happen.

    ReplyDelete
  19. And it's even more frustrating because the show has so much potential that usually goes to waste... like instead of a proper timeline, meaningful scenes and actual character development, we get random, pointless squeeky implied-sex and unnecessary new characters.
Ugh, I am this close to giving up (and I've been in this fandom less than a year). Oh well.

  20. sounds like a bore

  21. boo kates back. i don't like her.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Well what is Jeff Davis supposed to do? Chain them up in a basement and drag them out for each episode.

    ReplyDelete
  23. "He can't control actors", seriously? You do realize that actors sign contracts that make sure they can't just walk away from a job when they see fit, right? If they breach that, they can be sued.

I know in Crystal Reed's case, Jeff Davis / MTV agreed to release her from her contract out of goodwill, but with everyone else, it's obvious that they never had contracts for more than the seasons they appeared in to begin with. So the problem is clearly that MTV didn't sign them on fast enough and long enough as they should have done.

    ReplyDelete
  24. He doesn't control their contracts MTV does. I'm well aware of how the law works, but blaming Jeff Davis and saying it'll horribly damage the show when you haven't seen any scripts, footage or anything is beyond ridiculous.

    ReplyDelete
  25. FYI, I never said I blamed Jeff. In fact, I never even mentioned Jeff Davis at all before you brought him up.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Well you mentioned story telling, and I inferred Jeff Davis given he's the main creative force behind the series. Still saying it is a disaster for the series is pure speculation and uncalled for (1) because Alison's death will have a huge impact on Scott and the others given everything we've seen, which especially given the more human focus of season 4 could create great character moments, (2) the twins weren't a very large part in the series just like Cora whose absence didn't impact the quality and (3) Isaac who I like again wasn't very involved in the series after a while and while many fans will miss him I doubt his absence will impact the series, given his lack of importance in story arcs and only really interacting with Scott, Derek and Alison; (3) while this isn't related to the aforementioned topic, you make it seem as though in your first post that the writers aren't doing a create job with the departing character arcs, which I feel is unfair.

    ReplyDelete
  27. At least concerning the disrupted character arcs, Jeff Davis can obviously only work with what actors he has, so I don't blame him, though I personally believe there are smoother ways of writing actors and characters out of a show than it has been done on Teen Wolf.

It's obvious that you're watching the show for different reasons / in a different way than I do. Which is perfectly okay. I'm glad you're still enjoying it.

For me, the way Cora's absence and the way her plot arc was just left hanging did severely disrupt the narrative structure, as did the way they explained away Jackson's leaving in two sentences, and the way Erica was written out left a sour taste in my mouth. So when I say that it's bad story telling, it's not just about S4 speculation, but I actually think it's already been bad story telling for a while now. Like you said in your point no.2, those things clearly didn't bother you, but different people watch things with a different focus and different expectations, and it's something that's seriously impeding my enjoyment of the show.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Yeah I get that Jackson, Cora, Erica all being written out with only a simple sentence is pretty annoying (but to me not hugely because a) Colton Haynes is Roy Harper on Arrow and b) it just doesn't, lol I guess I wasn't a huge fan of their characters). But your completely right about people watching for different reasons.

    ReplyDelete
  29. no just end the show, because they are losing alot of us. I one of them. after allison, i have no place of watching this. its getting boring. same thing.

    ReplyDelete
  30. yeah i just think, they need to end the show. and come up with something else. because it started in a love between scott and allison. but now, it just out of control. with people now have powers, stiles is one of my favorite as well allison, but last season did it for me. and it just should have ended. because now. whats going to happen. just crazy.

  31. sproutwings,i wouldnt care less, what graydon things, because he like the show. me i love to see something different teenwolf not the same. and want be watching it anymore. their are more shows out their, then lame ass teenwolf.
