  3. Lol. Looks like Dean's thinking, "This is your fault, Sam."

Man. Not only a nice couple of Cass hug pics and profile shots of Sam and Dean, but the henchmen are looking pretty dapper. The redcoat that's with Cass and the vest guy with Crowley? Man, angels and demons are bringing the style this episode. x3

  5. At least we know Dean is in a bad place right now, because if he weren't being overtaken by the mark, he would look a lot happier with getting a hug - like when he finds Cas in Purgatory in s8 and hugs the crap out of him.

  6. It's gotta be the mark. It's turning him dark. We've seen him delighted by hugs before (like with Cas in Purgatory in s8.)

  7. Aw at Cas hugging them! So cute.

  8. Yeah, an other heavy Cass-angels episode.
It so makes me want to watch it !
4th episode in a row with light Sam and Dean,
kill me now, I won't have to see it, well, I may not do it anyway because these pictures don't make me want to.

  9. Or maybe Dean just doesn't feel like hugging Cass. Nothing more.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Dean looks like WTF? LOOL On the other hand, Sam looks absolutely gorgeous!

  11. I know they'll bring in the angel storyline again, but I highly doubt there won't be a lot of Sam and Dean. In the promo there seems to be a big confrontation with Sam, Dean, Abaddon, and Crowley all in the same room. Or at least that's the looks of it. From what I remember, too, is that Jensen mentioned this episode has a lot of Mark of Cain storyline in it. I, for one, am extremely excited for this episode, and I doubt this episode will have light Sam and Dean in it :)

  12. Nah, Dean and Cas are buds. Have had friendly hugs before, It's well established the Mark is effecting Dean a lot by now.

    ReplyDelete
  13. No, Audrey. He gave Cas a huge, joyful hug in Purgatory last season - and normally, he is pretty forthcoming with hugs and obviously cares a great deal for Cas. The mark IS affecting him and that's obvious.

  14. Uh, I love angel episodes. Not to mention, Cas has been on the five highest viewed and rated episodes this season, so obviously most people love him. He's a big draw and Misha is brilliant and a fan-favorite for a reason. Why are some parts of this fandom so damn negative?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Wrong, Dean usually feels like hugging Cas - but the mark is changing him.

  16. Castiel is awesome, and he's one of the leads. He SHOULD be featured heavily - the vast majority of the fans are here for Team Free Will, which would be Dean, Sam, and Cas. Cas is family now, and has been for a long time.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Why are people still bringing up TFW ? it was a label stuck on 3 people in season 5 it was laboured then and has no place now. Apart from the fact Sam has very little free will it just doesnt fit .

    ReplyDelete
  18. Don't forget Bobby, everyone always refereed to it as Sam/Dean/Cas. But Bobby was just as integral to stopping the Apocalypse. So much so Cas even mentions him "And of course, I remember the most remarkable event. Remarkable because it never came to pass. It was averted by two boys, an old drunk, and a fallen angel."

    ReplyDelete
  19. He has also been in the lowest rated episode this season. But it is not important.
I don't mind Cass but his storyline is very very boring. If it wasn't for Cass, I don't think Sam and Dean would care about Metatron and angels, maybe Gadreel but not the others.
I can't stand anymore bla bla bla between angels ending with the angel blade falling in his hand and the killing. It's been done over and over again, it is boring. There is no others words.
SNP is about Sam and Dean doing the family business, team free but lately, they have been guest star of their own show.
I really hope it will be about them but these pictures show that a lot of time will be about angels and Crowley and abanddon.

  20. Castiel is not a lead, he is a secondary character, important yes, but not a lead. Sorry.
it is not too much to ask that supernatural, a show about two brothers hunting things, be just that.
Nowadays, they are waiting the final to tell the truth about the mark of Cain, one brother is a wallpaper, no storyline, no point of view, no nothing.
Why does each of promotional pictures have to include Cass ? If the most important thing in the episode is a hug, I say, it's very sad.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Dean hugs when he is happy to get someone back after he though he lost him or her, or a long separation otherwise it's no "chick flick" , remember ? And they just saw Castiel.

    ReplyDelete
  22. We don't know how much time has elapsed between episodes, but definitely enough time for the mark to make Dean even darker. Obviously something is up with him or he'd be huggy as usual, because even if he doesn't like chick flick moments, he IS a hugger. We've been shown that over and over. And yes, the hug is important. And his reaction is important, because he's not really Dean right now and this highlights it even more.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Well, it may have started out as just Sam and Dean, but it's evolved into something much more now. And since Misha is a series regular, sorry to tell you, but he IS a lead. He's credited as a lead. He's the third star of the show, and he's arguably one of the biggest fan favorites. Dean and Sam are still featured extremely heavily, so I'm not sure why you're complaining. Sam is less featured in this season because almost EVERY season has been about Sam, so I'm more than happy to see Dean have the central plot.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Because TFW is basically our equivalent of the three musketeers. It's a fandom thing that you clearly.. don't understand?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Yes, according to the show's billing and credits, Castiel is a lead. As he should be. The show has expanded and it wouldn't be coming up on 10 seasons if we kept rehashing the same two-person storyline all these years.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Well, that's just not true. All of Misha's episodes have been wildly high-rating this season - go on tumblr, there are charts of viewership and critical ratings. Luckily, the writers and producers know how popular Cas is. SPN has evolved from the original premise (two brothers) into more of an ensemble show, which is how it has SURVIVED for coming up on 10 seasons. They are still the predominant characters on the show.

  27. A series regular is a different thing. It’s clear that Sam and Dean are the co-leads because the actors are under contract to appear in all 23 episodes. The only characters on the DVD covers are the brothers, they were required in the backdoor pilot to help promote it although Sam and Dean won’t have much to do with the story if it’s picked up etc.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Misha is a regular, not a lead otherwise he would be in the 23 episodes.
I can't believe I have to explain it. In house, House was the lead, the other characters were regular but not lead and it's the same in every series.
There is no scheme not being the lead, he is a secondary character and that's fine.
As I said earlier, I don't mind Cass, but I don't like the angel storyline and I said I, you can like it all you want, I have the right to dislike it.
But I complain that we have less Sam AND Dean. I am happy that Dean has the ark, but don't say it's the first time and usually it is all about Sam. Sam has often the ark but we always see it through Dean's eyes, with less Sam on screen. Here Dean has the ark but also the point of view, meaning Sam has no use at all. This season, we got 2 heavy sam episodes (9.1 and 9.17). lately, Dean is also less present because we are loosing time with angels.
Anyway, we will never agree so I let down here but enjoy this shadow of spn.

"Series regular" and "lead" are two different things, sorry. It doesn't matter how many people like him. He's NOT one of the leads.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Actually, they're really not. Series regular is a paygrade term, and across the board with different shows and networks, a series regular is a promotion equivalent to a leading role. Let's just stop arguing, because it's not going anywhere.

He's still not a lead. Whatever. Stopping now.

  32. Since we're clearly not going to agree, let's just drop it. Love Cas, love Dean and Sam, love the show, think a lot of the fandom is insane (evidence abounds). Nothing like venturing into the comments section of articles - or youtube, good grief - to see how negative so many people online can be.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Well, in this case, check the ratings of metafiction, it was the lowest rating episode since ... hey, the return of Cass in season 7 !!!
But honestly, I don't think ratings are high or low because Cass is in it or not but the ratings started going down this season around 9.13 (don't remember the exact number, the episode with Kevin's ghost and a lot of boring angels) because people are tired of the fight between Sam and Dean.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Hey, here we agree, some part of the fandom is insane, you are right, some harassed TPTB for years sending tons of letters and feathers to get what they wanted. Crazy.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I keep saying myself I don't want to answer you anymore because I am tired of this conversation like hours ago but after saying I am insane, i am rude now, well ... Sorry you took it for yourself but I think sending heathers to people when they clearly said some are allergic and it makes them sick is not a nice behavior.
Sending petitions to fire any actor (Jared, Misha or anyone else) is also bad behavior and come from crazy people who has nothing better to do in their life. And I am not saying you are one of them.
And all that came from the fact I said I don't like the angel storyline ? It goes to far, really.
I truly apology if I offended you, not my attention here because I respect the fact you like the story but the last 2 seasons have been wasted for ME by the angel storyline. I wish the angels will be send back to hell at the end of this season, they can keep Cass if all the other robot angels go away and Cass has a common storyline with the bro and not a separate one with a meeting once in a while. But it's a wish, I am not going to send threat to the writers if it doesn't happen.
And there is nothing insane in discussing it in forums. Thats's was it is make for. Otherwise just stay in a group where everybody agree that a hug is so beautiful and so important.
    Now good bye

    ReplyDelete
  36. This is where I definitely agree. I've come to just accept Castiel is never leaving the show and if they'd give him something to do and get rid of the rest of these stupid angels, I'd probably be better with it. They keep doing this same SL over and over. Either have God come back and spank these prepubescent butthead angels, thus making them ACT RIGHT AGAIN, or kill them all off, leave Castiel the lone survivor and he can be The Oncoming Storm of the SPN-verse, and get this show on the road again.

  37. Team No Will lately.

  38. This episode is going to have quite a bit of Dean. He's mentioned in the summary through the First Blade story.

    Did you read the summary?

    ReplyDelete
  39. The ratings have been pretty steady most of the season. .9-1.1, sometimes lower, sometimes higher, but not often. The dip is likely based more on springtime than anything else.

    ReplyDelete
  40. If you go on buddytv they label vest dude as 'Gavin'. Is that the Gavin I think it is? The clothes seem to fit but I think it's a different actor. If it is i want to know why Crowley's talking to his son
