I have a soft spot for Gadreel, probably the only angel to be interesting since the days of Zachariah and friends. I hope he gets some redemption.
As for all the other bureauocratic angels, including the ever more depressing looking Castiel, I hope they take off for the heavenly plains and settle themselves back in their homeland, because honestly I cannot see what else can be done with angels in Season Ten that hasn't been boringly drawn out before.
This is why I really hoped that Gabriel was coming back. Because he could have taken charge of heaven, then they'd finally have a powerful leader and the angel storylines could wrap up and never be mentioned again haha. I'm fed up of Angel civil wars.
Me too, but I doubt the angel storyline will wrap up any time soon. Seems to me we have to endure the angels until the series finale...... but as long as we got Crowley and his demons on a regular basis too, not all is lost. ;)
If he had come back to close up the heaven/angel storyline, i would have been fine with that ,especially as he was intelligent, witty and sympathetic, traits that are lacking in all current angels.
It is really sucky when shows you love drag out, it has been so hard to just keep up with SPN this season; the character stagnation has been just so prevalent for the last 5 years, and the plot and setting offers so little change and evolution that it makes me sad, and I just might drop the show altogether. The sad part is that is practically true, the only difference is I just won't keep telling myself to "catch up"
Ahhhh, but I will miss you nonetheless SPN, you still are one of my favorite shows; and I do hope that you at least bring joy to the rest of the fans.
I can't wait to see what Dean does to Gadreel. After killing Kevin guessing Gadreel is going to regret keeping Dean alive and so is Metatron. Me I like a Dean that is in the mood for killing a couple of angels. I am enjoying whatever the mark is doing to him. Guessing Dean has had a few swings at Gadreel. Is Tuesday here yet?
Gadreel and Metatron are the only two interessing angels, probably because they are a bit attached to the brothers storyline. But I didn't miss Cass at all because I am bored when he is on screen. I don't like his storyline.
I think this season has actually been one of the less stagnant seasons for Dean in quite a while - they're finally addressing some of his basic characterization, and breaking him down.
I would of been more interested in the writers actually dealing with what truly happened at the time. Not Sam's reaction in episode 9.18 which more than likely compared to Dean will be muted.
To me it mostly depends on the handling in future. It hasn't been an eternity since the story was last referenced, so if they bother to make the effort, they can still give Sam a POV and anger and hurt for what happened to him.
Wow I thought Supernatural fans were all family. I love it and how they both react I love this season and everything about it. I think everyone has done a fantastic job. You will see Sam with Gadreel and Dean too. They are both fantastic and important. It is amazing how much negativity is here and at the writers and producers. Whats going to end up happening is noone will want to do it and there wont be a show. I always was proud to be a fan and love all the fans but this is not a good side to see
That's just often how it is I guess. I've done the same myself sometimes. It's easier to put in comments about how terrible everything is and remember the good old days (which often weren't that great). It means you don't have to actually talk about what is coming up. It's cut and paste misery.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

So Dean gets to growl and Gadreel . Nothing new in these promos we have not seen a thousand times before.

ReplyDeleteHasn't Dean only interacted with Gadreel in a threatening way once or twice?
ReplyDeleteI'm more interested in seeing Sam's reaction to him.

ReplyDeleteI think they have generally managed very little when it has come to the possession sl and Sam . Whatever they do now will change very little.

ReplyDeletegood luck with that. I do not see that happening you know the writers.

ReplyDeleteThe last two episodes have been pretty OK for Sam though.
