ABC Family has handed out a pilot order to drama Stitchers. Written by Jeffrey A. Schechter (Overruled), Stitchers follows a young woman recruited into a covert government agency to be “stitched” into the minds of the recently deceased, using their memories to investigate murders and decipher mysteries that otherwise would have gone to the grave. Schechter executive produces alongside Jonathan Baruch and Rob Wolken. Production is slated to begin in June.

Sounds Good, Will Definitely Check This Out.
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely more interesting to me than that horrible 'Alice in Arabia' series. I had no interest in watching Not Without My Daughter: the series.
ReplyDeleteSo she would be like main character from iZombie except for being zombie. How original.
ReplyDeleteWell everything is derivative. Pushing Daisies had a similar plot with Ned bring back the dead for less than a minute to get clues about a case. It's just a matter of molding characters and cases and scenery to be original. Plus this is just in the pilot phase, not assurance it will go to series
ReplyDeleteI know what pilot means ;) All in all, it's still be another procedural, which means not my cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteAlso not original? "How original." There's always at least one aspect of any potential show that has been previously used by another show or in another format. It's commonplace. Yes, some shows certainly contain more original concepts than others but, at this point, pointing out that a series (or potential series) uses borrowed concepts is as meaningful as criticizing it for being yet another TV show being broadcast in English. How original.
ReplyDeleteAlice in Arabia sounded great. I would have watched it. I'd never turn down a chance for hot Arab guys on my TV. Sad. Not to mention it was the *only* even so-slightly interesting premise when they announced their development slate a few weeks ago but this sounds alright. But I hope it does worse than Ravenswood, still upset we didn't get at least 5 more episodes to wrap it up when we were promised on air more episodes were coming.
