Sherlock star Martin Freeman has revealed that the show’s next installment could be a “one-off special”.
Freeman told Alan Carr at the recording of tomorrow night’s Chatty Man episode: “Mark Gatiss may beat me up, but there is an idea for this one-off special that’s such a good idea, and as I was listening to it I thought ‘we’ve just got to do this’. And I don’t know when we are going to be able to do it, unfortunately.”
He added: “It’s a fantastic, really mouth-watering idea. But I really don’t know when we are going to get to do it.”
Last week the actor revealed that it had been intended to film the new series later this year: “I thought the plan was to do it in the autumn but apparently that’s fallen away.”

That would be awesome! I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteinb4 sherlock comes back in 2016.
ReplyDeleteI really want this, the show is so awesome, and 3 episodes per season just isn't enough, even if there really long.
ReplyDeleteI really hope this happens! Having a "special" episode would help make the time between seasons a bit more bearable!
ReplyDeleteYes please :) It would be amazing!
ReplyDeleteMartin Freeman is a very good actor! I have only seen him in Fargo but because I like the Sherlock Holmes character I would like to watch all 9 current episodes of it in a marathon:) and people have said its awesome and I think I would Agree! Benedict seems like a good fit for playing Sherlock and I am certain that Martin Freeman as Watson is awesome! Before I start watching this, one question, is there any comedic parts in this series like in the movies ? Or is it just a drama :/
ReplyDeleteThere are some very funny bits in the series. The banter between Holmes and Watson is wonderful, and even Moriarty adds to the hilarity. No, definitely NOT just drama.
ReplyDeleteI can't see it happening really everyone involved is just too busy
ReplyDeleteI like and get all kinds of humor and Dramas with some comedy are the best. Thanks for the reply, I will start watching the first episode of series 1 ASAP :)
