Posts Its Highest-Rated Telecast Of The Season
NEW YORK, NY – (April 7, 2014) – Last night, the critically-acclaimed SHOWTIME comedies Shameless and HOUSE OF LIES concluded their fourth and third seasons respectively with their highest-rated finale nights ever. Shameless, with its surprise ending, delivered its biggest telecast of the season and highest-rated finale ever with 1.93 million viewers at 9 p.m. and 2.83 million viewers for the night, the series’ best total night ever – outperforming the season three finale by 18 percent (2.39 million) and the season four premiere by 23 percent (2.3 million).
HOUSE OF LIES ended its third season with 731,000 viewers at 10 p.m. and 1.4 million viewers for the night, the best finale night ever for the series outperforming its season two finale and season three premiere by 16 percent (both which delivered 1.2 million viewers).
Season-to-date, SHAMELESS season four averages 5.7 million weekly viewers, up seven percent vs. last season through the same time frame, and on track to rate as its highest-rated season ever. HOUSE OF LIES season three is averaging three million weekly viewers, on par with last season through the same time frame. Both series will return with new episodes in 2015.
