It was 8 episode was from the start. No idea why it didn't get the traditional 13 episode order. Maybe they though that they didn't need 13 episodes to explain the arc of the first season.
It's cheaper to have a shorter episode and they make more money because they can have more commercials. That is all I can think of for a reason. Networks do tend to spend more on their shows (production wise) than cable.
Like it more than I thought love the character Jacob and his his relationship with his mother who immediately loved him accepted him. It was interesting at first how his father who at first didn't trust him but has grown to love him and cant now now cant't stand the thought of losing again. Please don't let them be aliens. I think regardless Jacobs parents will continue to love him and fight for him with the help of agent Bellamy.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
LoL,critical mass! Gee,i thought there were 13 eps.
ReplyDeleteCome on ABC you finally got a hit and you give us 8 eps?

ReplyDelete-_______-" 8 episodes?
ReplyDeleteLes Revenants also had 8 episodes but each lasted 52 min...
But this show is not based on Les Revenants.
ReplyDeleteI thought there were 13.
ReplyDeleteOh I know, don't worry.
ReplyDeleteI just meant that they could've done 52 min ep or just done 13 episodes instead of 8.
Wouldn't get 52 minutes on an American network, but I think it should have been 13 episodes too.
ReplyDeleteNow that you've said it, I've never seen a 52 min series on ABC... Do you happen to know why?
