I'm still wondering how Dean overpowered the vampire one-on-one, as he slowly pushed the blade away from himself and towards the vampire's throat. Aren't they supposed to be stronger than him? Still, definitely favourite part of the episode as he said that line.
I liked this episode a lot, probably because I'm a big Sherriff MIlls fan, and this might have been her most strong appearance to date. I voted for her first appearance in the episode, taking the vamp's head off. Great moment! But there were lots of other good scenes here. "Look at me, bitch" would be a close second for me.
Yep, what Peter and Michael said. Ackles did a great job there, deliberately turning the knife, pausing, and then driving the blade forward while looking right into the vamp's eyes. Sam's disturbance clearly signals how we're supposed to react. Reminded me a lot of how we saw Dean acting way back when S&D firat met Gordon ... and we know how that turned out....
I agree but find it troubling that Sam has failed to note that fact because that would have been my first question, not "you might be enjoying this too much" (which would be the second one). Plus, it's not the first time Dean has enjoyed kills. A prime example was when they first ran into Gordon on that vamp hunt. So not really news but overpowering a vamp in slow, deliberate hand-to-hand . . . that's new.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteI think he's becoming stronger and stronger because of the mark. He beat an angel last week.
ReplyDeleteLots to vote for, but I voted for the last Jody/Alex scene, as I was touched by it, and it provided closure, which is so rare on this show.

ReplyDeleteI think Sam was probably delirious and didn't fully understand what was going on in the fight.
