The May/Coulson scene in his office, that was really great especially when she asked for his weapon because she was concerned what he might do. Fury recruited Coulson straight out of high school that was a nice nugget of info to have.
Can I crush that hope under the effects of the HYDRA Plasma rifle? :) As each episode goes by I get more convinced Ward is a Hydra agent .. whether he is willing to be or not (and in the Marvel universe there are a LOT of different ways to force someone to act against their will.. or even know what they are doing is wrong). In fact Im starting to like the Ward /Garett scenes a lot more than some of the others.
Generally I find in tv its the female fatale/character who is trying to 'work over' the male character for information/access/other. i like the fact in this case Ward is being able to use his links both to May and Skye as his in point to the team.. we are getting a role reversal of sorts.
What is interesting is now that Hydra basically has access to the item catalogue from the first season how many things the show will 'reuse'. Thinks like the Fully formed Berserker Staff would be very interesting to see in the hands of a truly villanous character.
I maintain that Ward is a good guy, and purely deep undercover to infiltrate HYDRA. Also, loving the Skyeward moments! I just wish it didn't have the extra baggage added to it. And seeing the other ships struggling is sad. Fitzsimmons, Philinda, and Skyeward for the win! --> This show is incredible!
I really enjoy Ward being a bad guy, I think it suits him more somehow... Great episode though, can't wait to see the end of this season, it's getting pretty intense ^^
"Being Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. carries weight!", without a doubt. It was heartbreaking to witness Coulson at this moment, having lost everything he'd believed in and seemingly left to fight alone and for nothing. And of course Clarke Gregg was fantastic. I really hope the trust and friendship between Coulson and May can be restored sooner rather than later, because he badly needs someone to be in his corner right now. Same with Maria Hill, please be there for poor Phil!
Ward will reveal he is HYDRA before going back to Garret... Or at least trying to get out! Maybe they have to "arrest" or "capture" Ward and that's why Skye is crying (well that and finding out Ward is a liar and a traitor :D)
Yeah, that could definitely happen. Or Garrett finds the 'safe house' (because Ward tell him the location) and with his men they attack Coulson and the team. The team would then turn to Ward to say 'let's attack HYDRA', only then for Ward to walk up to Garrett and points his gun on Coulson's team...traitor revealed.
From the moment Ward killed Agent Hand, I was already convinced that he was Team Hydra. This episode definitely confirmed it for me. I hope Ward gets killed off and Triplett takes his spot on the team.
Deep undercover, is a possibility. If it weren't for the fact, that Ward seems to have no issue with killing loyal S.H.I.E.L.D operatives left and right. First Hand, then the two in the elevator, and who knows how many others...
Hate to say it, but I think Ward is truly a traitor.
After last weeks episode, I was all in for him being brainwashed or undercover, but after last night, as much as it pains me, I believe he's actually HYDRA. Maybe his time with the team will have change in the end, but that would only work if he gives his life for them, and I'm not sure if I'm up for that either... it would be the better alternative, though. I can't picture the team forgiving him otherwise...
I really liked the scene where Coulson is walking through the plane, is told that they should be fine if they stay in the air, then is told by each member of the team in turn all the reasons why they have to land as soon as possible. I thought that the way he reacted to each thing was great, culminating in his half-hearted "yay" to Skye about having internet.
Ward has gone on record that he does what must be done to fulfill his mission. I stand by him being a good guy. The look he gave Coulson in 1x17 was utter shock and horror....I'm assuming that this was the reason why. He was already torn up about mistakenly shooting the wrong man in cold blood. Imagine how he'd react if he learned he had to do it again....and again, just to maintain his cover (as a loyal Hydra agent). I will hold out hope for him, even if I am the only fan willing to do so. (which kinda breaks my heart in and of itself)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Just wanna say, please can May and Coulson not fight, there better when they work together. Hail Agent May :)
ReplyDeleteI think Ward tells Skye before leaving. in the promo for 1x19 Ward says he's a bad man and Skye is crying... Again :D
ReplyDeleteMay all Day she can do no wrong in my eyes
ReplyDeleteall of it but mostly the tense May/Coulson scene
ReplyDeleteIkr, but I don't like when Coulson gets mad at her, she's just awesome!

ReplyDeleteAnd a nice parallel to Ward/Garrett (unfortunately...)
ReplyDeleteYep, got to get them when they are young to lure them to the side of good or evil!

ReplyDeleteWhen Ward told Raine how he have been playing with the Coulson's team. In this moment I hated him with all my soul. The team don't deserve that.

I had that as the next scene on my list! Just so many to choose from! Thanks for adding it here!

ReplyDeletePersonally, I hope Skye finds the guts to shoot Ward herself. Just with an I.C.E.R but still shoot him and hopefully punch him as well.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that would be great. GIRL POWER!!! Would replay that possible scene over and over again :)
