I think it's pretty obvious what one of the answers is but I also really liked the scene between Brienne and Cersei. Brienne didn't even need to say she loves Jaime but you could see it in her face. Great actress. Plus, she is one of the few good people left on the show so I have a soft spot for her.
Every Sansa moment, particularly her scene with Olenna. Also loved all of Margaery's expressions.
Sorry Jack Gleeson, but Roy Dotrice's dramatisation of Joffrey's death in the audiobook was much better. ;) I'll still miss that horrible smirk, though.
Other: I loved the scenes leading up to the poisoning more than the actual death itself, which was over pretty quickly really. I especially liked the awkwardness of the dwarves acting out the Five Kings scene, and Joffrey ordering Tyrion about as his cup bearer. They were very well placed, reminded us of just why most people would like to see him dead, and also kept the setting so busy it was easy for the poisoner to get to his cup without being seen.
Me too. Not even Cersei barbs could wound. I just worry now that she's in the 'Mother of Madness' crosshairs. We'll be needing that armor right quick, thanks Jaime. ;)
The last 20 minutes were superb - everything leading up to Joffrey's death made the end particularly satisfying. - I loved the way Tyrion tried to handle his nephew, as well his speech, but gosh, the sadistic little prick just wouldn't stop. And then there's Cersei's "look at my baby, humiliating people" proud smirk, in contrast to everyone else's appalled reactions, lol. - I loved Margaery's facial expressions, especially during the "Five Kings war"! You could just read the disgust on her face, as well as sympathy when she looked over to Sansa. And I love how she repeatedly tried to diffuse the situation, but boy, she should've figured out that no one can manage Joffrey for long. On that note, Olenna was great as usual. I really liked the bit during the wedding ceremony when the priest said "cursed be he, who would seek to tear them asunder" and the camera shot focused on Olenna in the background behind Margaery. And later, her remarks to Sansa - "killing a man at a wedding - horrid" - was brilliant foreshadowing of what was to come. I guess we know who poisoned Joff? :D As for Loras, he was also quite amusing when he noticed Oberyn checking him out, and then his snarky exchange with Jaime was gold as well. :D I'm really loving the Tyrells this season! I just hope we get more Margaery scenes - she's more interesting than ever!
The last minutes I was praying for Jeoffrey to die! So happy right now, aside of that not many othe amazing scenes, I did love Bronn schooling Jamie. I hope this doesn't cost Tyrion his life, he's one of my favourite characters.
Besides the obvious, I guess from this list my favorite would be Bronn and Jaime.
There wasn't really much for me to like in this episode. This second episode packaged up all the characters and plots I don't like on this show and gave them to me all at once. The Bolton/Theon mess, Melisandre and her idiot puppet Stannis, Cersei continuing to be completely vile, etc. etc. On top of that, Shae has been exiled (good scene with Tyrion though), Cersei found two more reasons to be horrible (Brienne & Tyrion), and now Melisandre is getting her hooks into Shireen. I'm glad Joffrey is dead but, other than that, this was one of the least enjoyable GoT episodes I've watched in a while.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Is there really any room for doubt?
ReplyDeleteYou can vote for more than one scene...
ReplyDeleteJoffrey getting poisoned. Without question.
ReplyDeleteNever have I been happier to watch a character die or another's misery over having them die in their arms.
ReplyDeleteYou have to ask?

ReplyDeleteI liked how Tyrion acted in response to Joffrey's cruelty. Whenever he is on the screen, he generally steals the scene.

That moment I have been waiting for, at last I can be a little bit at peace.
ReplyDeleteAll the scenes at Kings Landing, Joffrey dying is an obvious choice but I really loved Oberyn's moments as well as Brienne.

ReplyDeleteYou have issues. But then again I totally felt the same way, so maybe I have issues too.
ReplyDeleteI thought I would be really happy but actually it was really disturbing for me.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm also kinda happy of course :)

ReplyDeleteThe best scene was when Tyrion warned Joffrey about losing his virginity before the wedding night.
ReplyDeleteme too love him

ReplyDeleteCan you? I thought you could vote for only one!
ReplyDeleteI loved the Loras scenes - they were next on my list! Thanks for including here!
ReplyDeleteTechnically, you are supposed to be able to, but I'm not sure this poll is working correctly...

Oberyn's badass conversation with Tywin and Cersei for me. The guy just steals the show anytime he appears.
ReplyDeleteOf course it's Jeffrey dying! We've been waiting for ages and it's time for celebration!
