  1. I think the whole episode was amazing.
From Ariel and Hook together to Henry crashing the car :D

  2. So many great scenes, Ariel and Belle reunion was awesome, Regina and Emma magic teaching scenes were great, Charmings trying to be fun was funny, and Hook showed some great range throughout this episode. I didn't see Zelena being Ariel though, that was interesting, though I'm happy Ariel found her Happy Ever After!

  3. All the Swan Queen, Charmings+Henry, and of course that brief Charming-Swan-Mills family scene... That is how I want this show to eventually end.

  4. And of course I'm very glad that Ariel now has her happy ending. I still hope we'll see her again, though.

  5. The twist with Zelena was great, I loved Regina and Emma scenes too but the best one for me was the ending with all of them sitting together. I know we're suppose to feel bad for Hook, but I was just glad and touched by this image and how much they went through to get to this point

  6. Hard to decide. A lot of moments were great especially the family moments.

Hook's character development was amazing! And I laughed so hard at David teaching Henry how to drive. 'See look Henry look how cool we're! Who needs a pirate?'

  8. Regina teaching Emma magic
Charming teaching Henry to drive lol
Everyone at the diner eating dinner
    Every scene with Ariel

  9. Regina teaches Emma to swim

  10. All the Charming Family scenes and Hook's. The episode was awesome.

  11. I liked the scene where Emma goes to Hook and asks him to look after Henry while Regina teaches her magic. Hook tries to flirt with her and ends up agreeing that it's the best plan yet.

I also liked the scene where Smee and the crew gift Hook with a lady of the evening and he turns her down because he's staying true to Emma.

  12. It was so nice to get those kind of scenes this episode! We seriously need more of this Charming Swan Mills, they're like the CORE characters of the show (+ Belle/Rumple too). And everyone I know who watched the episode loved and adored their scenes. They need to write more!

  13. lmao, is it bad that I loved every scene that didn't include Hook, even though it was a Hook- centric? I really loved the Charming family scenes, with Charming/Emma trying to build the crib, lmao! Then of course, Regina being all family-like with the Charmings, and being protective of Snow's baby! And then Charming/Snow being offended that they're not fun, so Charming tries to teach Henry to drive omfg, that was so great! And then the Emma/Regina magic lesson scenes, with Regina being encouraging and telling her 'she has it inside of her' to then being all proud when Emma cast the spell on the mirror. AND THEN THE LAST SCENE, IT WAS SO PRECIOUS! WITH CHARMING SWAN MILL EATING TOGETHER AS A FAMILY!!

  14. I feel like lots of people are saying this was just a filler episode, and that might be true, but IMHO, this was one my favorite OUAT ever, solely for the fact it just felt alot better quality than other season 3 episodes in terms of writing, acting, and especially the music score, which really stood out to me.

  15. While I loved the Regina teaching Emma to swim scene, I think my favorite was the diner dinner with the Charmings, Emma, Henry and Regina. That scene alone shows how much things have changed since season 1. Very touching.

  16. "I SWEAR ON EMMA SWAN" *cries in the corner*

  17. I think Hook is very good this episode.

  18. I agree, if it wasn't for the interactions with Ariel, I probably wouldn't care that much about Hook's upcoming struggle.

  19. They have come a long way indeed. It's kinda hard to imagine that one season ago, Snow was offering Regina to crush her heart and now Regina is making protection spells for Snow's baby and they're eating dinner as a family. Me likey the new dynamic.

  20. i'm not SQ but i admit all the best scenes are regina and emma

  21. Loved Emma and Regina student/teacher scenes. Loved Hook and Henry's scenes and their father/son relationship growing. Loved Ariel and Hook scenes. Colin o'Donoghue absolutely nailed his performance, especially with his heartfelt confession.

Loved Zelena and Hook's scenes, but I felt so heartbroken for him on the last scene. He deserves them to be his family. Emma is finally starting and accepting that he is Killian, a man of honor and not the pirate, Capt. Hook. #captainswan!

  22. A man of honor??????? That is quite questionable. When everyone went back to the Enchanted Forest, Regina could have easily slip back into the role of the Evil Queen. However, we see her building a trusting relationship with the Charmings. However, as soon as Killian returned as well, he decided to become a pirate again. He only does things that benefit him, so since Emma wasn't around, he bounced.

Then, we see him not denying that he didn't help Ariel get her happy ending. He didn't claim it, but he didn't refute it when Emma thought he contributed to it. Over and over again, we see Hook only doing things that benefit him. I think the scene of Hook in a knight's armor is very telling. He is a wolf in sheep's clothing, enough the facade of honor, he is just a selfish pirate. Emma deserves better.

  23. Regina did try to go back being the evil queen by burying her heart in the EF. There are some similarities between the scenes with Snow/Regina in the EF and "Ariel"/Killian on the dock. Killian felt absolutely terrible about betraying Ariel, he could see it in his eyes and even said that if he could he would go back and change his decision. He even tells Emma that even if you want to go back to old life, you can't. He could have given up on Emma, not go back to save her, but only sail back on his ship, (especially since we don't know where it is now). He couldn't do that though after telling her that he will always think of her. Evil Queen has changed to only be Regina, just Captain Hook has changed only to be Killian. He felt ashamed of what he had done and trying to being just a pirate and is trying to being a honorable man. It's not just about the choices he's made and will continue to make but how he feels after making those choices whether they have consequences or not.
He isn't selfish and not just cares about himself. He cares not only about Emma, but Henry as well. I'm not saying he's perfect, but he has become a better man from season 2 to now after being a pirate for 300 years. He still may have growing and changing to do, but he is at least trying.

  24. ^ Completely agree. When he was talking to Henry about Neal as a kid a few episodes ago, I was just like 'yeah, you're failing to mention that you kinda sold Bae out to Pan, a psychopath, but yeah you continue as if you and Bae were besties'. And then he hasn't told anyone about the fact that he got with Bae's MOTHER, who was Rumple's WIFE at the time - who he also bullied in that very episode?? He also left Snow, EMMA, Aurora and Mulan in a prison with no means of escape or food, he's abused Belle several times, and don't forget Aurora's heart. He also shot Belle, worked with Greg/Tamara and didn't stop them from electrocuting Regina for hours on end. After that, he went off with the bean, and sure he came back, but if it weren't for Regina/Emma doing magic against the crystal, he would have been too late anyway. Not to mention, him and Charming still lied about the story of 'Hook saving him'.

And don't get me wrong, Rumple and Regina have done bad things, INCREDIBLY VILE things, but at least their redemption arc is complex, they've been seen to struggle to be good. And unlike Hook, they were constantly reminded of how bad they are. Hook's redemptive arc, if you can call it that, has been within what... A week? How am I meant to believe that a man, who's sole purpose was to kill Rumple, has now just suddenly flipped personalities cause of Emma.

  25. Henry doesn't have his memories back and Emma doesn't want him to remember Storybrooke, so how it sound to Henry if Killian told him about that. He was respecting Emma's wishes of not telling and thinks that Emma should tell Henry about his dad. Milah left Rumple to be with Hook, so it takes 2 to tango. Yes, he has done many, many horrible things but he also done redeeming things that he wouldn't have done if he only just a pirate.
Hook has been reminded that he being only a pirate, and it's not until now that Emma is finally letting go of the past and trusting him. Overall, everyone from Rumple, Regina and Killian will do crazy things for love. Emma has been the savior, the mark of love... so of course he has for her. She is the central of the curses and show. Snow even said she has touched everyone's lives.

  26. I'm not really getting the man of honour thing, especially after this episode.

  27. That's not what Regina did by burying her heart in the EF. She didn't have her heart this entire episode so those two things aren't related.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I don't think one can use Regina as the gold standard for redemption. She's done far worse things than Hook and her fans are willing to forgive her for anything. The fact that she's going through a period of good behavior does not make her a better person than Hook.

  29. I enjoyed the scene with Charming trying to be the cool Grandpa by teaching Henry to drive, while Snow cringed on the sidelines. This, followed by their sheepish confession to Emma and Regina about the property damage was just cute, and made them seem like a normal family for a few seconds. So if I had to pick a favorite scene, that would be it.

I also really loved the Hook story, although I can't really think of one specific standout scene. While it's clear that he's torn between following a better path and reverting to the person he was before, his character development overall, has been in the right direction, which is why the wicked witch knew that she would be able to manipulate him. . The scenes with Regina and Emma were also great, and Regina's hilarious quips added just the right amount of levity. Her comment to Emma about the "uncharmings" made me laugh.

  30. Please, stop it, you are making too much sense.

  31. But him caring for Henry is only in the context of getting into Emma. For instance, in Neverland, he see he never was truly concern about the boy. He was just tagging along to get next to Emma.

For example, he was busy fighting over a freaking lighter with Neal. He even told her the reason that they were fighting over a lighter was just to lay claim to her.

The man sold his father to Pan and is teaching him how to cheat at dice and pillaging boats. Lets be honest, do you really think he is a good father-figure????

    ReplyDelete
  32. I honestly do think he would still make a good father-figure. He does care about both. After they came back from Neverland, he told Neal that for the sake of Henry, he was going to back off. Neal left Emma and yes I know he didn't know about Henry and yes he did love Henry and wanted a fresh start with them, but also wants Emma to find her "Tallahassee". He may be teaching Henry how to cheat at dice and pillaging boats, but he also told Emma that he will protect Henry from the Wicked Witch while he watches over him. In addition, Emma is letting go of the past and the bad, horrible things Hook has done.
