My Huckleberry Quinn finally did the do! (What they've been wanting to do for weeks)... What was hilarious about it (on top of the spit and lick, lol) was the fact that Mya walked right in and stabbed the bejeezus out of Rowan all while they were doing it. Goodness!
I'm glad Liv is doing Mellie a solid by getting a DNA test, and I too, hope Andrew somehow makes it out of the building when the bomb goes off. I'd hate for Mellie to lose a guy that truly loves her.
Glad Liv made it clear who she loves... (as if it wasn't evident when she used Jake last week)
And am I the only one that laughed when Cyrus... in true Cyrus like fashion... asked the aid if Sally was on her way to the funeral?!? LMAO... it's so wrong... but so Cy. I couldn't help myself.
Absolutely stunning episode. I stood up and clapped at the end. I felt so happy, which was strange seeing as there's going to be some mass casualties and mass recurring character deaths. I'm setting a countdown timer for next week's #ScandalFinale!
The way I see it, one of Olivia's parents has to die, the other has to live. It makes sense in terms of the story. Scandal twists stuff right up on a regular basis, but I think Rowan will make it, and then kill Maya. Harrison won't die either - that would be wrong for a show to kill off multiple recurring characters (provided that happens) and a regular character in such a short timespan
-Poor Rowan. I know he was a scary bastard but I love his character, hope he survives. -Huck/Quinn... anyone else cringing? -I always knew Cyrus was a very dangerous man... never realized how much until now.
Agreed, Cyrus was wonderful. And yes, Olivia loves Fitz, but she also feels something for Jake (she said so herself). Don't count out Olivia and Jake yet.
If Andrew dies, I will be upset. He's a great character, and Mellie deserves him.
- I hope Rowan survives too. I feel like when it comes to Olivia's parents, one will die, one will live by the end of the finale. I'm really hoping it'll be Rowan. - I just keep thinking how awkward filming that scene must have been. There was so much spit and licking. And even though it might have been a little too much for some people, I applaud the show for portraying a sex scene in a raunchy and aggressive way. - I've always liked Cyrus and yet struggled to empathize with him. A few episodes ago, we saw him smile as he watched Ella play. This week we say him smile because Sally is about to be blown up. This man has truly 666 engraved on his forehead.
Cyrus is the ultimate pragmatist for whom the ends always justify the means. Under certain circumstances it's an admirable quality but it's also a dangerous quality.
But that's what makes him the ultimate pragmatist. Even though Cyrus's own action makes himself a victim of his choices he still believes in creating some "greater good" where the ends justify the means.
He's the power behind the throne and willing to sacrifice anything and everything for that.
I still think there's something noble about Cyrus willing to sacrifice everything. But that same attribute makes him the most dangerous man in the Scandal universe.
I guess I expected him to take a little longer to get back in the game. It's gonna be interesting to see how this will affect him or if this will affect him at all. I mean even he has have to have a breaking point. He has done many horrible things but this is by far the worst, putting all these innocent people in danger.
- Really want Fitz to find out about the mellie got raped by his dad, will put a bit of perspective for him on how much she has suffered for him. – she should have definitely told him before especially as that was the really reason to their marriage not working
- Olivia: 1. Stops crying in (practically) every episode. 2. Has a few episodes where her decisions/actions don’t revolve around one of the men in her life- she needs some sorting out in her life and it’s never going to happen if she keeps on going from one to another and back again.
(also wanted to say- in link with both statements, part of me agrees with her dad: Fitz doesn’t deserve Olivia (or even mellie), not at the mmt at least, he’s being a spoilt boy at the mmt.)
I love Jake so any scene that focuses on him is a total winner in my book. I just love him. Based on Huck's expression in the SF promo, I'm guessing Quinn either dies or is severely tortured by Charlie. I definitely think Andrew, Sally, and Leo dies. And Rowan, Harrison and Adnan are strong candidates too. And when Fitz finds out what Cyrus did (probably S4) I imagine the cray cray will rise to a whole new level.
Geez!! I hope they get rid of the actor who plays Harrison. I would like to see them bring in someone who has better self-control offset. Shonda and the other Scandal writers deserve better.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Whoa! Please do not kill Andrew (pretty sure he was at the funeral). And really, Cyrus? REALLY?
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Rowan will actually die. Maybe that'll stop the epic speeches (so sick of those every week).
Ew at Huck and Quinn. Why is Shonda going there? Stop. But LOL at telling Huck and Charlie to make out while she went to hide the body.
Great episode!
So many feels!!! Bellamy young was amazing as usual, but man what an episode :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an AMAZING episode?!?

Can't wait until next week's finale!
LOL - epic speeches.
ReplyDeleteActually Rowan Papa Pope was good tonight. There were no epic speeches and he acted like a sorta normal person not Command.
I hope Joe Morton survives and comes back as a recurring character - retired Command.

ReplyDeletequirky huck and Quin did not disappoint was looking forward to that. Now for crazy charlie to come out to play

AWESOME, AMAZING, BANANAS!!! WOW!!!!!

More than cringing. Ew.
ReplyDeleteCyrus is very very evil. I'd take command over Cyrus any day.
I doubt anyone will die in that church.
ReplyDelete#ByeSally! I can't wait for next week!

Cyrus is the ultimate pragmatist for whom the ends always justify the means. Under certain circumstances it's an admirable quality but it's also a dangerous quality.
ReplyDeleteOne would think he'd be a little less reckless since his husband ended up as collateral damage as a result of his last scheme.
ReplyDeleteBut that's what makes him the ultimate pragmatist. Even though Cyrus's own action makes himself a victim of his choices he still believes in creating some "greater good" where the ends justify the means.

ReplyDeleteI don't believe she loves Fitz. What shed loves is pain, suffering and devastation.
