  2. Better than I thought it'd be, but ew at Hook being in love with Emma. No thanks to Captain Swan.

I laughed so hard at David letting Henry drive and of course it ended badly. But hey, at least they're fun grandparents now!

Was wondering why Zelena was staying low and then we got that twist. Glad Ariel and Eric are happy now!

  3. Same here, my feels </3

  4. This episode seemed really long to me, but it definitely moved the story along plus answered a lot of questions about Ariel and Hook's lost year! I definitely loved Regina and Emma's storyline. Good episode, cant wait for more!

  5. Hook is such a drag on the show but since it was a filler episode, the Emma/Regina and Swan/Charming/Mills family stuff was sweet and cute.

Although I'm not really sure why they're only training Emma up with magic. There's nothing special about her beyond being a True Love baby, which is apparently pretty common so why not get all the magical true love babies and train them up. At the very least Aurora should be.

    ReplyDelete
  6. It's because she's the Savior. None of the other True Love babies are powerful because they're not saviors.

  7. Filler from the beginning to end that why this episode was MEH for me

this episode get a solid B. it was kind of boring. it got exciting at the end. I'm happy Eric and Ariel got their happy ending. Good to meet Black beard. The question i have is Where is the jolly roger?

I'm more hype about next week episode. It look so dark and Young Cora is back!!! YAY!

  8. ....yeah. Saviour of WHAT now that the first curse is broken? She was the saviour of the last curse, basically Rumple's deus ex machina.

Rumple seeing the future and manufacturing her breaking the curse doesn't really mean much. I have to admit, it is pretty hilarious every time she talks about being the saviour when her sole saving job is done.

  9. It was pretty much a filler episode but I still thought it was great.

The writers finally made Hook redeem himself and made him interesting again in my eyes. He was fantastic in this episode.

Loved seeing Emma being taught magic by Regina. I've been waiting to see that.

LOL at Mary Margaret and David trying to have fun with Henry by letting him drive. That was hilarious to watch.

Oh shit at Zelena putting that spell on Hook. That's not going to end well.

Best line of the night goes to Emma: "It's true, we just checked in on them on....Skype." HAHA

  10. Loved the emma and regina teacher/student scenes! Zelena better watch out with this powerful duo! 😊😋👊👍💪🌟

Enjoyed hook and ariel's scenes. He truly has a changed from a pirate to a hero, just like a fish turned human and both for true love. Shows that true love can change anyone. 💚😀

Swooning over captain swan! Loved hook's swear confession! I feel so torn for him after zelena. 💞💑💋😢😯😭

A+ for the whole epi. 👍👍👏

  11. Ok, so I'm not a Swan Queen shipper, I'm well aware this is a relationship that will never happen, and I have no real issues with either Outlaw Queen or Captain Swan. But, honestly, the story begs for Emma and Regina to have more scenes together. It is the only time I find Emma to be truly interesting, and their dynamics is great. So, again, I know it will never happen, but I just wanted to say I think it had a pretty good chance of being canon, were the writers not so concerned with taking both characters in other directions.

  12. love this episode love Hook but yuck at Hook being in love with Emma no thanks to CaptainSwan lol Charming teaching Henry to drive love the end with everyone going to dinner at Granny never thought I see them invite Regina happy she really part of this family even though I love the scene with Charming and Henry I thought it be better if Charming played sword fight with Henry and he could have deja vu moment over all good episode

    ReplyDelete
  13. Bring on the Captain Swan. This is going to be some angsty fun. Emma finally looks like she's accepting her feelings for Kilian, then they do this to him. I want to curse very loudly. Can't this man catch a break?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Yeah still waiting on the "final battle" that Rumple said would be coming after she broke the curse.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Pretty filler and Blackbeard was wasted. They could have achieved much of what happened in the last few minutes without pretending that it was worth a full episode. The Charming-Mills-Swan family stuff was cute though and Emma and Regina magic training could be interesting, but they really have to come up with a better explanation why Emma is oh so special.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Would have like to see more of Blackbeard. Not feeling Hook/Emma, but still love me some Hook, I stiil would like to know what happened during that missing year. Also loved Ariel, wish we could see more of her in the show.

    ReplyDelete
  17. As far as we know Emma is the only product of true love that has powerful magic. Rumple even said he didn't make her, he simply took advantage of what she is. They haven't gone into it, but I'm hoping they will.

    ReplyDelete
  18. That's so true. I'm SO into them being close friends or at least have an intense, complicated relationship. Rumple destroying their agency, setting them up as mortal enemies and Rumple's classic woman-against-woman trope then having them turn it on its ear by breaking the trope is a great idea.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Yeah, I know. That's the point I'm making. And we know that, at the very least, Aurora is also a child of true love. They're also trying to tell us that four main couples on the show are 'true love' plus Ariel/Eric, Aurora/Phillip, Ella/Thomas, etc etc. It's clearly not very rare unless it's only royal families that get the special treatment.

Emma is the special one for plot purposes, I assume.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Honestly, this episode was beyond boring - I actually walked around the main floor cleaning so I wouldn't fall asleep.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I could care less if Emma and Hook get together or not,I just like them together. They play off of each other so well,i really enjoy watching them when they have scenes together.

It was a good episode,i laughed so much watching Henry drive,it was cute.

Really enjoying Regina and Emma. They are acting more like sisters who are grown up and finally getting along.

Missed a few scenes, going to watch it again.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Apparently I may be in the minority here, but I really enjoyed this episode. Maybe it's because I couldn't care less about the "ships". I'm just fascinated by Hook's character and love that we're seeing more dimensions of him, even if it's because he was struck by some magical quality in Emma that caused him to reevaluate his choices. I also love Ariel's character, and I'm glad she and Eric got their happy ending.

I actually didn't see the Zelena twist coming, and I was impressed by that. The whole kiss thing is cheesy to me, but whatever. It's going to be interesting to see how that plays out over the next few episodes. Which family member will she go after first?

    ReplyDelete
  23. I always believed it's because Emma's very essence was entwined with the most powerful curse ever created. That could have done something to her.

    ReplyDelete
  24. It's not her essence though. It's Snow and Charming's. And she wasn't cursed, she's just the loophole so I don't know what the curse really could have done to her. And since he's been done now by three different people with all sorts of other aspects, I guess we're just assuming 'most ever'.

    ReplyDelete
  25. It was Snow and Charming's love and she represents that. She had power over the curse, not only being able to break it but just her presence in the town start weakening it so she was connected to it in a big way.

    ReplyDelete
  26. i was having doubts about this episode but damn how wrong was i, Zelena is going for the big things all that she did to get a confession out of Hook was great and her speech was exelente i really liked it.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I guess the kiss curse is going to be their way to "power down" Emma so she's not godlike powerful for the rest of the series. That's a shame, not that I want her to be uber powerful with magic but its something she's neglected her whole life and to finally accept it and be good at it and then BAM it's gone is just sad.
I hope when she does kiss him though, she'll do it knowing what will happen but does it anyway because he needs like a true love's kiss or something, at then it's not such a sacrifice if she's doing it to save someone she cares about.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Poor. It sounded like a filler episode, sort of.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I absolutely adored the Charmings trying to teach Henry to drive, Emma/Regina's magic lessons and then the scene with them all eating at the diner together. I'd love to have more scenes with just these 5 more (and include Belle + Rumple obviously ^-^). They're the key characters of the show, and seeing them eat together like a family was a really nice moment of the episode. Other than that, eh.. Filler episode that was pretty dull imo

  30. I liked this episode much more than I expected too. I enjoyed seeing Pirate Hook again rather than just pining Hook. I am also glad they have given him a more active roll in the story now because up until this point in 3b he seemed to be there purely to look loved up at Emma. Now he may actually have a defining role in it all. I loved the Charming's attempts at being cool (and the reaction it got from Regina and Emma). The magic lesson was brief but fun and I hope we see a couple more as the season goes on. Can't wait till next week when we get Cora's ghost.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I think it's just a way of delaying Captain Swan because he will probably do the right thing and not kiss her. I am presuming he was stalking them at the end in the last episode to try and stand guard and protect them rather than just being a creep. As much as he pines for Emma he doesn't come across as the 'creepy stalker' like Robin has.
I don't think they will remove Emma's magic. In fact once Zelena casts the curse that takes her back to the past I think Regina will be taken out of action so it will rely upon Emma to tap into her magic to stop Zelena.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Yes, it was Snow and Charming's love. Thus their new baby will be just as powerful.

The curse started weakening when she showed up because Rumple built it into the curse but it didn't change who she was. The curse was built around her as a loophole, not the other way around.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Not brilliant, but overall a solid episode. I liked Hook and Ariel's story better than I thought I would. I didn't see the twist with Zelena coming.

When did Charming meet Ariel? I'd looked like he knew her but they didn't meet in Neverland.

I thought that him letting Henry drive like that was irresponsible but I liked Regina's reaction;)

I love that Regina is trying to protect them, especially Snow and that she told Emma what she thinks about her wasting her potential but I also think that it's not the only reason. For the longest time all she could count on was her anger and magic and now first Zelena appears to be more powerful than her then Emma almost without training does things she's unable to. It could make her doubt herself even more and feel useless.

The scene at the end with all of them sitting together was really touching and I hope all of them continue to grow this way:) But I don't understand how Emma could still want to go back to NY and in the same time make Henry get to know their family and friends better and connect with them

    ReplyDelete
  34. I loved it. There was humour (putting together the crib, the desire for a driving lesson), action, and character development, not just for Hook but for Regina and Emma too.

Last year I hated the idea of Regina teaching Emma magic but now, with Regina better and Rumple in control of Zelena, it makes sense.

Hook is a better partner for Emma than Neil. But the cursed kiss as a way of keeping them apart -- very clever.

    ReplyDelete
  35. That was the first time they had met, when Ariel jumped him and accused him of kidnapping Eric.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Thank you,. i thought so but wasn't sure.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Awwww man :'( That just broke me!

LOL at how much Regina was enjoying torturing Emma on the bridge though haha!

    ReplyDelete
  38. it was definitely a filler episode, but I'll love anything they do to give Hook more screentime

    ReplyDelete
  39. It didn't even cross my mind that Hook was being a creepy stalker at that moment. Zelena threatened to hurt her family if he didn't comply, so it makes sense he'd feel obligated to watch over them. I also wouldn't be shocked if he didn't try to push her way emotionally and I'd lol if it has the opposite effect and now she's willing to admit she cares for him, lol. Hook just can't catch a break! Aww!
I like Robin with Regina, anyone that makes her that genuinely happy is fine by me. I mean "happy" happy, not her cackeling at some evil scheme kind of happy, lol. Only thing I find creepy about Robin and Regina is my name is Robin and I'm a female, so yeah... LOL. So it's like: Yeah! Longlive Robin and Regina! Wait... I didn't mean me and Regina... uh... just... nevermind, haha. Plus that bastard Robin Hood caused me to get teased in school when I was a kid, so there's that. Grrr.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Regina might feel useless with her magic at first but then she could come to realize that Rumple was a crap teacher in the end and taught her the easy way which was dark magic and while Emma's magic was harder for her to access, it's good magic and comes from a pure place. Plus, Rumple actively wanted her to be dark so that she would cast the curse to send them to Storybrooke.
Even if Emma loses her magic in the end due to the kiss curse on Hook, it could still benefit Regina and help her grow if she learns to access her magic the way Emma did hers.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Agreed on all points. I did feel a bit bad for Neil in the end though during his last conversation with Emma, it seemed to me at least in that conversation was the only time I felt he had a good shot with her. Neil was happy that she was happy with the other man and he joked that he can't make fun of her cuz he was enganged to an evil of minion of his grandfather Peter Pan and she laughed with a big genuine grin. I was sad to see him go. I definitely prefer Captain Swan but that was a good scene for her and Neil before it went south and he died. :(

    ReplyDelete
  42. Sometimes filler can be good. Obvious Captain Swan stuff aside, it was adorable when the Charmings were jelly that Henry liked Hook more then them and the steps they took to seem "cool" was adorable. Regina's reaction to it was also adorable, I think they are really lucky that she didn't want to freak Henry out over her feelings for him since he doesn't remember her and she let it slide, lmao.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I think Regina would understand if Robin gives it away to save his son, she'd probably flat out tell him to do it she were there since they seem to pushing her towards the hero side so hard this season, esp the second half. It looks good on her, I hope she continues with it.

    ReplyDelete
  44. if she knows the circumstances, I'm sure you're right. And I want it to go that way. But if some OQ happened in the EF during the missing year, Zelena could know about it and want to make Regina think Robin betrayed her.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Terrific episode. Loved the Hook Story, Charmings trying to be the fun (and going about it the wrong way) , Regina teaching Emma magic by tough love and the family scene at the end.

    ReplyDelete
  46. OK episode, quite enjoyed it.
Outstanding performance: Hook and the Wicked Witch (now that was scary wicked!)
Awkwardness of the week: Belle (again)
Not as bad as expected: the CGI
    Rest was merely filler scenes

    ReplyDelete
  47. Oh, I don't know. She's the protagonist of the story.

    ReplyDelete
  48. You're right. Lazy, bad writing.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Yes, because a man devoted to woman and wants only the best for her is such "eww"? He encourages, supports, and believes in HER and her abilities - the epitome of a true love match.

Yeah, I guess this would be an "eww" of a relationship. Who would ever want that?!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Oh, I don't know...pirates are fun and different. He is one season behind the other characters, and they've each had a lot more backstory. Hook's stories are coming. He has quite a bit of backstory and the writing staff only scratched the surface on telling it. Can't wait till its revealed.
