I liked it and it is setting up for what looks like a hell of a final season.
I know some people did not like this season or thought it was just okay, but I for one thought this was a fun season. This season was used to set up the final season and put stories into place for the final season. I liked the Crowes and thought they were crazy and fun as the villains this year. Michael Rapaport really made Darryl an interesting villain for Raylan and Boyd and he really deserves some recognition for his work.
awesome tie up for this season and definitely set the stage for what look like will be a hell of a final season... I wonder if the finale will end up having Raylan and Boyd sitting at a table like in the pilot and this time Boyd dies like he was originally supposed to..... I can't wait
Yeah, I loved this season and thought the finale was spectacular. So many holy shit moments and the surprise at the end seeing that it was RAYLAN who got Ava out of jail was one of the coolest moments of the season :-)
Very solid season finale. Perhaps a bit tamer compared to previous ones, but great nonetheless. It did well in wrapping up this great season, while also setting us up for what looks to be an awesome final season. They've set up the end game... let's see how smooth this last ride goes.
But that one lyric keeps playing in my head, the one they do different variations for throughout the show: "You'll never leave Harlan alive..."
I guess this means Boyd will be the main antagonist next season. Why give Raylan another villain to deal with for the final season? Just my feeling, maybe I'm wrong
Oh shit Ava spends all episode saying she isn't a snitch and in the end she is! Holy shit I love love love what this means for S6! As Timothy Olyphant recently said he wanted the final season to be about Raylan, Ava and Boyd and now it seems like it will be. I am so excited!
In the meantime goodbye Jimmy you were my favourite Crowder henchman for a long time. Goodbye Daryl you piece of garbage. Wendy and Kendal I hope you both get out.
Tim and Rachel had some great moments this episode and looks like they will be running Ava as the snitch as well which is great. I need more Tim and Rachel with the other cast members. When Rachel threatened Boyd I may have cheared even if I love Boyd!
I think the reason there was so much death this season is to give the final season a more condensed atmosphere. All those recurring characters would've been too much for the final season
I also hope after next season is over, Timothy Olyphant and the rest of the Deadwood cast can make that fourth and final season for Netflix. Woo-hoo ;-)
I loved every minute of it. Next season is set up so nicely with Ava being out. Man, I´m torn, on one side I want Raylan to get Boyd and put him away for a long time, BUT on the other hand I want to see Boyd and Ava to move to Sweden and get a nice little red wooden house and some beautiful babies. :-)
I definitely loved this season and thought the crowes as a whole were some interesting and smart villains. I cannot wait until the final season and I wonder if Raylan will transfer down to Florida. Hell, even if he does, I wonder what kind of chaos would he get into while down there...
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteI liked the season overall, but I thought the season finale was boring.

ReplyDeleteI think the main antagonists next season will be Boyd Katherine Hale and Wynn Duffy. Maybe Elstin Limehouse will be thrown in for good measure

Yeah that seems the set up to me, Vasquez really wants to get Katherine and they need more than just Boyd as the bad guy.

ReplyDeleteI agree, they have really wiped the slate clean now which is for the best as it can focus on the core characters now.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that was so awesome to see. I love Boyd too, but I liked seeing Rachel let her inner Raylan out ;-)
ReplyDeleteRachel is tired of the bad guys, she is in charge now beware Harlan County criminals!
ReplyDeleteI also hope after next season is over, Timothy Olyphant and the rest of the Deadwood cast can make that fourth and final season for Netflix. Woo-hoo ;-)
ReplyDeleteyes please! Or at least a TV movie, I'm not giving up! FX should do it seeing as most of the Deadwood cast is in Justified or SOA!
ReplyDeleteThat's a very good idea, too. Come on, make it happen
ReplyDeleteOr maybe someone can get a Kick starter campaign going. It worked for the Veronica Mars movie
ReplyDeleteFingers and toes crossed :-)
ReplyDeleteIs next season defiantly the last one if it goes down the way it looks i hope so i wouldn't watch without Boyd but I do hope they get him

I always knew that the final season will be Raylan vs. Boyd. Now Ava is added to the equation, it's gonna be a riveting season!
