  1. I loved it so much! Hurt Steve and Danny being trapped together after an explosion? Always a plus.

I laughed so hard at Grace walking in on Danny and Amber. And I like her, but damn, I truly think she is Danny's midlife crisis girlfriend because she's so young.

Another moment that made me laugh? The "surprise bitch" comment from the prisoner because it gave me flashbacks to AHS and the meme that came after.

Uh, whoa, Steve. Pretty sure you can't just kill people like that. And I had this weird thought that John is Wo Fat's father, but that seems unlikely to happen.

  2. Great ep. Fantastic acting, especially from Scott Caan. The Cambodia/Wo-Fat mystery is getting good! Loved how Danny's hair stayed put while trapped.

  3. I saw that as self defense....he was about to kill steve so he had to shoot back.....doubt Steve will get in trouble for that.........it was a interesting twist about the sub plot

  4. It was a good episode I'll give them that but I'm kinda over Steve's mama drama. Everything else was good.

  6. I've been waiting the whole season for this episode. You can't go wrong with a Steve/Danny in danger scenario :)) I agree ab Steve's mom, can they end that saga, pls. I like Amber very much, much more than Gabby...don't know why, maybe it's the actress but she seemed sweet and caring and I thought they looked great together. Everyone has doubts when there is an age difference but 10 years is not that much IMO.

  7. All right, this was an intense and amazing episode, on my top 5 of the show !

Let's start with the big thing : McDanno !
Damn Alex and Scott absolutely killed it ! Intense scenes, bromance stronger as never, it was fantastic ! I really enjoyed every moment between them ! It was absolutely well done, played and I was totally glued to it !
Let's not forget that « I love you » between 2 guys doesn't mean they're gay ! Just saying ... I've seen lot's of people imagining things, specialy since we know Michelle's last episode will be 421 but, I don't think it will happen... why ? Very simple, since s1, they haven't been written to be gay ! They are nothing more than brothers, BFFs … that would be really surprising IMO ! But this scene is by far my fav bromance, mcdanno scene !

Then Amber .. I absolutely LOVE her !
Ok she's young, but Steve said that she has Danno's age (if I understood well) … the actress can play someone older ! + I think the most important is her acting, which was amazing ! Lili is a great actress ! Her character was very well written, she's funny, cute, and I LOVED the fact they made her do exactly the opposite of what Danno asked her … it's really what he needs, she is not a little dog following Danno's orders naaah … really great ! I really hope people will give her a chance and will enjoy her instead of criticize her and focusing on her age !

Cath : i have to admit than I felt Michelle was a little out in the previous episodes, something was missing on her acting (MY pov of course, but it's how I felt) I didn't have that feeling in this episode, she handle it very well and I like to see Cath worried, when Steve asked her to make a reservation at the restaurant and the hug ! Was sooo cool and i'm really really looking forward to seeing 421 because I really impatiente to see how they wrote it and what will happen

Kono/Chin/Grover Hell those rocks !!! love them so much .. I was yelling at Chin « Go Chin Go ! » Lol Glad to see Kono and Grover was awesome ! He loves Steve it's SO obvious lol

and well let's end with … the ending
    … WTFH ???? WOW
that was an unexpected thing !!! Wo Fat's dad is still alive ??? I'm loving more and more this storyline ! Lot's of questions : Doris screwed up ? or was it intentional ? If she didn't killed WF's dad ... why the hell she needed to disappear for 20 years ?
I really hope we will know more before the end of the season, because I won't be able to wait until s5 !!! lol
I remember at the beginning of the season, I read that when McG will meet again his mum, he will be closer to the truth and a recent spoiler said that we will have an unexpected return for the s finale ! I'm wondering between Joe and Doris, but maybe in the next 2 ep we will know more abt it and maybe Doris will be back for the s4 finale (with WF and Ian by the way) … just guessing:)

well an excellent, amazing and breathtaking episode ! Thumbs up to the entire team ! :D

  8. Excellent episode! Just what we needed - a reaffirmation of the bond of friendship between the two partners. Aside from the "I love you's", which were great, we got to see a little bit more of the conflicted Danny - the guy we always knew had issues, just never had seen them laid out before. Danny learned from Steve to let the good into his life. Steve, as well, learned a little something about himself, too -his impulsiveness definitely led to the two of them being trapped in the remains of the building.

Really enjoyed the twist at the end concerning the McGarrett Family Saga! I was happy to see it wasn't WoFat's father in that Cambodian grave, but his mother. Now, why did Doris kill her and then go into hiding for 20 years? Is it possible Papa Fat is still alive and was the one chasing down Doris? Does Wo Fat know where his father is, and we still need to know why WoFat and Doris did not shoot each other in the S3 premiere. I, for one, am still interested in this story line -- but I would like some answers to be forthcoming!

  9. yes ending and the whole collapse being part of the "CIA" coverup- awesome! I don't HATE Amber I will still hope for my Rachel and Danno reunion but the writers did a really good job at adding her into fold and addressing Danno's issues. The writing was great and curious to see where sit all goes

  10. I loved every minute I cried, laughed and cheered! Yep knew the CIA planted the bomb.

@klutzy_girl - It was more self defence than killing Cobbs because he reached for the gun before Steve shot him

  11. 1% of a person who voted it was bad must not understand what bromance and action is really about

    ReplyDelete
  12. Well now... that is an interesting thought. Seems a little odd that Wo Fat would've hired Victor Hesse to kill John though.

  13. And Amber I know a lot of people don't like her really she's 21 in real life I don't care I think she's great for the character. I remember Peter saying earlier this year that Lili playing the character has nothing to do with her age so I didn't really bother at all.

  14. I don't believe its that people don't like her.I haven't seen anyone here saying they don't like her. She is just very young. Its not just because she is 21,she looks young, too young to be with Danny. His plays a 30 something and she looks 20.It might not seem like a big age difference but she looks like his daughter.

  15. It was a good episode, not one of their greatest but good.

  16. Fantastic episode. I still feel that the 4.10 Pearl Harbor episode was the best of the season (so far) this episode comes in a close 2nd. Everyone was spot ON. The Steve and Danny dynamic is what got me hooked on this show from the very first episode and it is still, in my opinion, the glue that holds H50 together. The brotherhood and affection these two men have forged over the years is a wonderful thing for two men who came to (and back to) Hawaii alone with no one to count on but themselves. To have found each other and to have gone from barely tolerating each other to this intense brotherhood is amazing. And that there is still much they can learn from and about each other keeps me always wanted to see more.

I also love how in the middle of the biggest bromance episode of maybe the entire series, they added the touch of romance too. Steve and Catherine showed more warmth in this episode than they have in months and it was wonderful to see. And Danny and Amber? Well, I think she is adorable. She's sweet, uncomplicated, loving, warm.....just what Danny needs to see that happiness doesn't mean waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I know there are some out there who are completely tired of the McG/WoFat saga but I, for one, am completely ready for this mystery to continue. I can't wait to see where it's headed and what will happen next. If the CIA thought that by going after Steve and especially involving and jeopardizing his friends was going to make him back down...they have severely miscalculated!

EVERYONE hit a home run with this episode. The writing, directing, acting, special effects, stunts, music...everything combined to make this episode one of my all time favorites.

  17. I don't like her. For me it was like they put her there just for the sake of her being there. No back story, no introduction. For me she is dull and not interesting character. And totally bad fit for Danny.

    ReplyDelete
  18. they said Amber is 10 years younger than Danny. So if he's playing 38yr old guy or 34 whatever that means she is 24-28. she looks like a kid for me and I don't thing that Gracie liked her.

But the bromance is just awesome. If they didn't ruin it with Amber I would be in tear because of the awesomness

  19. I loved the episode and the whole I hate you/I love you between Steve and Danno was so sweet and summer their relationship up completely for me!

I like Amber but I don't think she's a right fit for Danno, I thought Gabby was much better and thenm she goes and disappears! I don't know why it just doesn't feel right... Maybe someone can explain it better than I can...?

  20. I know she was in it before with the whole 'Jersey' thing. I don't remember thinking 'wow' they would go well together. To be honest I don't really remember her at all.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Oh no it definitely wasn't a Wow (but i guess it was for Danny). Danny pulled into a gas station and she was there.I forget the rest,it wasn't memorable that's for sure.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Isn't Amber the girl that Danny helped out a few months back. They met at a gas station and he ended up following her and she had a medical emergency or something like and he took her to the hospital and had her taken care of. I think that is how they met.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Yeah I didn't think it felt right either. I preferred Gabi as well, but the actress left to have a baby, so that is the reason why she is gone. Amber seems nice enough, but I just don't really buy her with Danny.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Ya,that's all i remember is them meeting at a gas station. I don't remember him following her after that,as i said in another comment that whole scene wasn't that memorable..

  25. This was a really good episode, the best episode so far in my opinion. Steve and Danny's relationship is the best. They are the perfect partners. Amber is ok but I know it won't last. I am ready for Danny to find some one who he can marry and be happy with it does not seem to be her. I get that Steve had no choice but shoot that guy but I am kind of tired of this WoFat storyline that will obviously NEVER get answered. Please end that storyline already. Over all a very great episode.

  26. he was there in the hospital when she woke up. And that was it. He liked her there, but the point is they never mentioned her again. I understand he can have a gf but he could just briefly mention her like "oh, i have a date today". especially that Steve knew about her

    ReplyDelete
  27. I realize what your point was.I thought it was pretty obvious that Danny was into her and that it was reciprocal. I don't think Danny saying he was going on a date was necessary. Did they let be known there was something going on? yes. Did we know 'they were an established couple,no.

  28. Great episode. Love that he bromance was in full force. I think the actress that plays Amber is 19 or 20, but she is playing someone older. I think Steve and Danny are both 37, so that would make Amber 27. I think Amber might work, would love to see Danny in a good relationship.
