I didn't like the dress either. Between that and the baggy shirts, you wouldn't know she has a nice figure except for that circus costume from last time.
Awesome. Adalind is finally interesting again. There was a lot of sweetness in this episode, from Rosalee and Monroe planning their wedding, to seeing young Nick in the flashback with his mom (who was a really good match for Mary Elizabeth), to the near proposal, to Adalind with Meisner (bye, bye Meisner. Stay alive, please), to Sean seeing his daughter--I loved it all. And lots of tension, too. Grimm at its best.
loved the ep! good to see Mama Grimm again and putting the hurt on the Verrat good to see that Meisner got to throw down as well. The awkward reunion was sooo hilarious and cannot wait to see what happens next.... on a side note, I'm soooooo glad that the writers FINALLY gave us a tangible reason that Wesen are able to tell that Nick is a Grimm! it's been too long coming, and glad that it's a simple fix to wear sunglasses at Monroe and Rosalee's wedding so things don't get too out of hand.
Ok, I'm a little disappointed that they're going "Wessen messiah" route with the child, it seems a little cliché, but it could be an interesting ride. Other than that, gotta love the badass Mama Grimm and the surprise reunion... anyone else rooting for a Renard/Adalind/Mama Grimm smack down?
Depends on where they go with it...normally in stories like that, the writers get rid of the baby as fast as possible. Either way, it is great that everyone is in one place again. And finally more or less on the same page...I guess the last important secret left is that Renard knows where the trailer is? And that Nick knows about him? But I guess Adalind will learn the latter one next ep.
Fantastic episode! I love that the proposal is back on the table. I've been waiting for them to bring that up. Hopefully Nick will have better timing next time!
Speaking of marriage, Rosalee's wedding dress was pretty terrible. D: She's a good-looking lady, why do they keep dressing her like... that?
Adalind is so much more fun now with the baby. :) This whole Mamalind thing is making her both a better person and a better character.
It was also great to have Nick's mom back. Kelly's always fun. I sure hope they aren't gonna kill her off. Oh, and great casting for young Kelly! The actresses actually looked alike.
Boy does it feel good to be back to my normal viewing schedule now that I'm done with school. :)
Awesome episode! And I think the next one is gonna be even better. I'm glad they explained the Grimm eye-thing, now I wanna see it. Is there something the baby can't do? She reminds me of that baby in the 4400 who was powerful too, I hope they don't let Adalind's baby grow quickly like her.
It was a really fantastic episode. I enjoyed it a lot.The scene in the living room was hilarious and I'm really curious if Adalind is going to be a better person or what Renard is going to do now. Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio was great in every scene she was in. And her interaction with David was awesome. "Did you kill the driver?" - "Why would I do that?" - "Just checking." LOL. Nick knows his mother pretty well. But once again there's a little inconsistency and I hate it when the writers don't remember what they established in former seasons. In the pilot Juliette asked Nick if he lived with Marie in the trailer and he said "I didn't know she had it". But in the flashback Marie had the trailer with her when she came to get Nick. So how could he not know? The trailer in the flashback confused me. Why would Marie bring it with her when she just wanted to get her nephew? As we know she never told Nick about his heritage so why bring a secret trailer full of Grimm things with her? Nick was 12, I'm pretty sure he would have wanted to go inside the trailer and check it out. It just makes no sense why she would take that risk.
BEST GRIMM EPISODE EVER! Meisner was awesome as always, I hope he'll come back soon. Is it me, or did it look like Adalind had grown attached to him?? (I know I have) Mama Grimm coming to the rescue of Adalind and the baby was really intense! For a moment there I wasn't sure whether she really intended to protect them, especially when she told Adalind to get some sleep. But I liked seeing her motivation and emotional connection to the mission through the flashback/memory. But boy, oh boy, the highlight of the episode was definitely the scene at Nick's house! Absolutely hilarious and exciting! The character's reactions to each other and the "who killed who" recap had me in stitches, rofl! Kelly and Nick's interactions were quite amusing as well. I also loved how the entire episode was building up to the last scene with Sean, Adalind and the baby. I can't wait to see more Renard in the next episode!
Re the trailer - well I guess you have to keep in mind that it's a memory. A person's memory isn't always reliable. Kelly knew that her sister had the trailer, so her mind projected it as part of the surroundings, even if it wasn't really there that night.
They planned this for two seasons and thing will get really interesting from now on. Sean Rennard will be the villain of the next season or not, let's what happens next.
Bree turner once modelled wedding dresses....really beautiful ones...and now the put her in this awful...thing....just because it is supposed to be the one of her grandmother it doesn't have to look like a bag.
Agree. The writing inconsistency is annoying on this show. I've learned to deal with it, but yeah. If only the writers would watch and rewatch like the fans do, that would do the trick.
It's not just you, when Adalind wasn't looking at her baby she was checking out Meisner. LOL Smart girl. :) Man, I miss him already. How did that happen?
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Great episode!
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing Mama Grimm back! Hopefully she's staying for a while.
Awww at Nick wanting to propose to Juliette and Sean seeing his daughter for the first time.
I was laughing so damn hard at the Adalind, Juliette, and Nick reunion. Talk about awkward!
Also I'm sorry, I love you Rosalee, but please burn that wedding dress. It looks awful.
I didn't like the dress either. Between that and the baggy shirts, you wouldn't know she has a nice figure except for that circus costume from last time.

ReplyDeleteThat wedding dress was not a good look on Rosalee. And the end scene was cute! That baby really needs a name, though.
ReplyDeleteI love Adalind as a mom. And great episode!

Yeah Adalind surprisingly a good mother but I hope they explain why that is since if I recall she was going to sell her child to get her powers back
ReplyDeleteAwesome episode! And I think the next one is gonna be even better.

I loved how Nick learned something from Rosalee and Monroe about how the wessen's see a Grimm.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that transition threw me, but I'm going to guess pregnancy changed her and she loves her daughter.

ReplyDeleteI loved this episode. Definitely one of the best Grimm episodes. Too many great scenes to count.
ReplyDeleteVery nice explanation. Although I doubt the writers had that in mind, it's okay with me. :-)
ReplyDeleteGuess there's a difference between being pregnant and actually holding your baby in your arms
ReplyDeletei always did wonder what it is that allows anyone to know Nick is a grimm.... cool! :D
ReplyDeleteThat wedding dress remains me of the same wedding dress Corey's mom gave to Topanga lol
ReplyDeleteThey planned this for two seasons and thing will get really interesting from now on. Sean Rennard will be the villain of the next season or not, let's what happens next.
ReplyDeleteI happy to see Mama Grimm again.
Adaling, Nick and Juliette reunion, just great.
Most old dresses I've seen haven't really looked any better.
ReplyDeleteBree turner once modelled wedding dresses....really beautiful ones...and now the put her in this awful...thing....just because it is supposed to be the one of her grandmother it doesn't have to look like a bag.
ReplyDeleteAgree. The writing inconsistency is annoying on this show. I've learned to deal with it, but yeah. If only the writers would watch and rewatch like the fans do, that would do the trick.
ReplyDelete100% agreed on all points. I think you covered it all, lol!
ReplyDeleteIt's not just you, when Adalind wasn't looking at her baby she was checking out Meisner. LOL Smart girl. :) Man, I miss him already. How did that happen?
ReplyDeleteNick's mom is so cool.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Nick, and the audience, are finally told how wesen know Nick's a Grimm. I would love to see the special effects for the Grimm eyes sometime.
