Loved this ep sooo much... tons of moving the plot along creatively.... nice feint in Renard giving up baby Diana to Victor, taking some of the suspicion off him/Adalind, and putting it with the mysterious Resistance to have taken the baby... but of course I would think that Nick and Mama Grimm aren't off the royal radar just yet.... but I do feel bad for Adalind and I hope this doesn't throw her back into being an enemy as I really warmed to the idea of her being a somewhat reluctant ally, but I guess we'll just have to see if that takes.....
That is one scary baby! I guess if anyone can handle her, it's Nick's mom (by the way, I love the fact that she keeps trying to "clarify" that it was actually a shard of glass that killed Adalind's mom, not her!). Grimm just gets better and better. This episode even topped the last episode, ! I love how Renard tricked his cousin, but I couldn't help but felt Adalind's pain.. To first lose her mother, and then her baby. Does she have anyone now? I'm not sure Renard counts. On a lighter note, it was nice to have Monroe and Hank provide a little comic relief. Monroe's reaction to having to take care of Adalind was priceless, and Hank being relieved that the baby wasn't his was hilarious. Another funny scene was the one where Adalind Woged in front of Nick and Renard and Nick asked Renard if he really found that attractive! .
I keep getting Looper flashbacks every time the baby does something telekinetic. If you haven't seen Looper yet, I strongly recommend it...
The music was so overpowering and made everything extraodinarily overdramatic.Almost every scene it would be drowning out the dialogue and t didn't help that the dialogue itself was also heightened in its cheesiness and overdramatic-ness.
One of the worst of the season. I have to commend that scene though when Nick is explaining his situation to Monroe and Rosalee, some ol' Grimm humor amidst an overdramatic episode.
Poor Adalind, but was good decision, I don't think she random the pressure of the royals come after her all the time, with Nick's mom the child is save for now. I love the funny scenes with Monroe, Rosalie and Hank knowing about this all story.
Great...but somewhat expected. I didn't believe for a second that Renard would simply give her up, and there was only one possible "safe" place for the baby from the get go.
Wow, poor Adalind. That was completely horrific what they did to her - she didn't deserve that. But at least Diana (thank God she finally has a name) is away from the Resistance. So Nick's mom is going to raise her? Wow.
I felt sorry for Adalind for about three seconds until I remembered that the only reason she has a baby in the first place is she was planning to sell it to the highest bidder to get her powers back. In the end she got exactly what she wanted: her powers for her baby. You reap what you sow, Adalind. Granted, that WAS kind of cold and tricksy of the heroes, though...
I guess I'm the only one that does not feel any sympathy for Adalind - None, Never mind the fact that she as screwed over or attempted to screw over everyone she encounters.... She does not have the skill set to raise a normal baby much less a powerful supernatural baby!
Always fun when mama Grimm is in town and this was no exception.
Neither do I. And when Nick asked Renard how he could find her attractive, I was right there with him. It's not just physical, it's the way she's always manipulating everyone to get ahead and then she's surprised everyone wants to kill her.
She almost killed Juliette (not to mention that when she also almost lost all her memories of Nick), she tried to kill Nick's aunt and she switches sides all the time. It was good for once to see the heroes pulling one on her.
I enjoyed this episode! I thought for sure that the pillow would be the baby and the royals were actually taking a pillow home. I should have seen that Mama Grimm would take her.
I wanted to ask though, did they drop the Nick turns into a dead version of Nick every so often storyline? (Zombie) Or was that just a means to an end?
I've been wondering about the zombie thing too. I remember an interview with David saying we haven't see the last of it a long time ago (I believe it was right after the christmas episode), but there's nothing since....
Was there suppose to be more and they cut it? Or the producers gave David an hint about what's in store for the end of the season? Your guess is as good as mine right now
I think the baby bring some good moments for her, but I think they made the right decision, to protect her and the child, I know is difficult to see, but in the end Adalind will find the kid again, but not now, they need to stop the royals first.
I've enjoyed this Mama Grimm story arc. Both last week's episode, and this one, were very entertaining. I loved Kelly's interactions with Adalind and the baby in the plane, in last week's episode, as well as the continuation of Kelly's special bond with that baby, in this episode. The brief flashback to Kelly giving up Nick was informative to her current state of mind, and made the ending, with Kelly driving away with the baby, make sense. I agree with the prince about how intriguing it is that Kelly, a woman, was more aggressive than the men. She's a really cool character, and I hope to see more of her in future episodes. I liked how the extended Grimm team all worked together in this episode. I think it was partly that, as well as the presence of the prince and his followers, that made this show seem so much larger in scope, than just 'a show in Portland'. I really like it when the expand the Grimm-wesen world to the larger global scope. I look forward to seeing more of this story, and what else the writers come up with. Awesome episode!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
i actally feel sorry for adalind
ReplyDeleteI feel sorry the most for the Captain having to look at his half brother or is it his Cousin when he gave his baby away.

ReplyDeleteAw,poor Adalind, for once i feel sorry for her. Good episode, nice little twist!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't all that impressed with Looper. To each there own i guess!

It's his cousin. He killed his half brother Eric.

ReplyDeleteBut it should have been Adalind's decision, not theirs! They took the decision from her, they stole her child and I hate them for it.
ReplyDeleteSomehow I don't think that this will be the last we see of the baby. I have a funny feeling that a pillow will turn into a baby sometime soon!
ReplyDeleteOne could argue that her good quality was she loved her baby. Well, the same could be said of Cersei Lannister (see Game of Thrones).
ReplyDeleteThanks I can not tell these Royals apart.
