Well, they could have created a different network, for sure, but they decided not to. I don't really see the problem. It creates difficulties if we consider Glee is already a Fox show, so Rachel Berry could theoretically run into herself in LA, but I doubt Murphy is worried about any of that.
This episode would be so much better with Rachel getting fired and have no TV-Show - That would open her character for some development, which was missing the first 4 seasons - She still is the spoiled, narcissistic brat and think she could anything without real consequences (like in season 1) and now she is rewarded with her own TV-show. I also don´t unterstand why they write down Kurt all the time! They should rename that show Rachel, since its all about her and her sucky behavior towards everybody! I also was hoping for Santana letting Rachel fall and not save the day! Rachel doesn't deserve such friends!
You do realize that they are telling Lea Michele's story, right? And Glee is the show that picked her to be the next big thing. Is Rachel a spoiled brat? Probably. I think it is too much to say she hasn't grown since S1, but she is still very young and unexperienced and prone to childish behavior, which is awful, but she is very talented.
But I agree with part of what you said: she should have lost her job. What she did was totally irresponsible, she could have seriously damaged the show. Besides, no one in the production will ever be able to trust her anymore, which makes for terrible work environment. If they planned on giving her the development contract, they should have kicked her out of Broadway.
Then Lea Michele is really that spoiled, narcissistic brat - Still it is annoying and they could show her a little bit more sympathic and carrying for other people - Of course, if she doesn´t care about others in real life it makes it more realistic, but it makes it more annoying to watch!
And also: Just because they are telling her story, it doesn´t mean the other characters are unimportant - But of course the little narcissistic child wants to shine and all the others are unimportant.
But I still don´t see the complete story of Lea Michele here - She was on Broadway when she was a child, she has no gay dads - instead very catholic parents, she was partly homeschooled - Pretty lousy on the real story: She was on Broadway by the age of 8 and played many roles since then - nothing with the small town girl, suffering in Glee Club because everybody hates her, coming up big in College and hitting THE broadway role - There are some serious fictional stories in Glee, havin nothing to do with her real story
Oh, obviously it's not her life story step by step, but the general "Broadway actress who was thought to be too ugly for TV becomes big star on hit series". Either way, I can't say if Lea is as spoiled as Rachel, but I highly doubt it.
Idk what to think about this episode. All i know is RACHEL DIDN'T LEARN A DAMN THING!! I was so glad when Mr. Green stuck it to her. Then she gets the call from her Agent/No so Agent- Agent. lmao(which i liked him btw). And my god that audition was a CATASTROPHE!! Idk wth that was but it was terrible! My god that script! And nonetheless Rachel will once again shit on Broadway, just to do some "reality" show, that may not get picked up!! What is wrong with her?? Ugh! She IS a child.
I feel really bad for Kurt. Especially when he was gushing to Blaine about how happy he was that he got a part that he didn't get. I couldn't believe Blaine lied to him like that, it's going to cause some real problems between them, which i for one, am NOT happy about.
Santana was my MVP of the night. And Mercedes, i'm not sure what to think about her in this episode either.
From what I heard, rumors that because of her Diana Argon wash´t even invitited to Corys Tribute Episode and also that because of Leas saying Naya Rivera is going to be written out by the last episode (Maybe because Lea wants to be the only Diva on the set.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
An Episode without Sam it's much better!!
ReplyDeleteJust the part of Rachel going to FOX doesn't make any sense... "An actress of FOX playing a girl who is going for a rol on FOX"??? WHAT?? idk
Hm, it actually makes perfect sense? They're mirroring Lea's story.
ReplyDeleteThe point that doesn't make sense it's FOX.... no the story.
ReplyDeleteGlee it's from FOX show, and the character Rachel going for a Rol for a new show of FOX. thats the point. Maybe was better to say another network...
