When Community does product placement, they go all out on it. The episode was alright, some pretty funny bits, but felt really awkward for a lot of it. Also Jeff/Britta at the end was weird as well, I mean I get that Jeff didn't want the whole experience to be meaningless, but I don't get how he (or any of them) can really think that given everything they've done together. I don't know, the episode seemed odd. Curious how part 2 will be.
That was a very strong episode, though i guess people might have a problem with Jeff/Britta. Personally i don't mind and it's certainly better than Jeff/Annie but either way this was a very funny episode.
Very strange episode even by Community's standards but I didn't find the whole Jeff/Britta thing too weird like its clear they are reacting to the thought of being without Greendale rather than actually thinking getting married is an amazing idea.
Odd episode. The whole Jeff/Britta thing (which I'm not a fan, yes I would prefer Jeff/Annie, and no, I'm not a shipper, just an opinion, so f off with that 'your just a shipper' crap) seemed forced to me. I sense a mis-direct there imo. Otherwise a good episode with some hilarious lines. But odd... here's to part 2 putting it together for us.
I'm not sure why some would think the Jeff/Britta was random or it's a misdirect - as we saw this season, Jeff is 40 and kinda stressed about that, and Britta witnessed her anarchist friends moving on with their lives. It makes sense to me that they would feel as if they need to subscribe their lives to some level of status quo, whether or not that's misguided, we'll see by the next episode. But I think it's on par with what we've seen so far.
I loved the episode, but it did feel incomplete. I'm excited for next week's!
I love Jeff and Britta paring, but I will be very surprised if they actually go thru with it and get married. This is just not the kind of move I'd expect from a show runner like Dan Harmon. I found this episode a fun one. Warmed my heart.
I didn't think the episode was too odd considering the theme of the episode. It was titled 'Basic Story'. In the most basic sense, Community was about Jeff starting a fake study group to impress Britta and in a basic beginning-middle-end type way, Jeff wanted his Greendale story to have an ending, for his time there to have a point. I liked the episode a lot. I'm guessing, like always, I will notice more things, thematically, while watching it the second time.

Yeah, exactly. I hadn't thought of that... good point.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
LOL, so much Subway product placement today. And I love Jeff/Britta, but that was random.

Odd episode for sure. I really like the ending with the Abed/Dean/Annie's dance routine ! Hilarious as hell.
