LOL at Elizabeth and Philip roleplaying with him as Clark. That was the best. Hee, I can't believe that conversation with Martha actually went somewhere. Whoa, that took a turn I didn't want it to. No, that started out fun! Why. Now I'm sad.
Like, I think they were both sorry it happened, but this hits them both in a very painful place and Elizabeth was the one who kept pressuring him over and over again to be "Clark" when he clearly did not want to. Then he finally acquiesces and it's triggering for them both. I don't know that anyone really owed anyone else an apology, but I think Elizabeth was right to be the one who was uncertain about what his reaction would be because in this instance, she was the one who kept pushing somewhere he clearly didn't want to go.
I was glad the show didn't make it sexy (at least not yet) because I think that would've been false for both of them. Philip doesn't like what he does as "Clark." It's no sexier for him to be that than for Elizabeth to reenact something close to the rape. They're just so bad at communicating that neither was doing a good job of expressing what they wanted/needed and why it was upsetting.
That was a fantastic look at the Jennings complex and messed up relationship. I really felt for Elizabeth but also for Philip. Its a horrible job they have to do and made more complicated by the fact they have finally started treating their fake marriage as real.
Liked seeing Lucia back, the show has so many great female characters. Would love to see Lucia, Nina and Elizabeth all meet up one day!
Oh Claudia does have a heart, hope we see her again and she isn't punished by the Mother Land for her mistake with her love.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
