that ending line... looks like Finch realizes that he might have to choose the grey path as there might not be a clear black/white choice in the Decima/Samritan situation...
That will be the first order to kill Finch has given, if I remember rightly. These final three episodes are guaranteed to be absolutely incredible television
Also, it's looking like Fusco's getting the no-show short end of the stick again. $10.00 says they'll use a few lines like "Fusco's running interception with the NYPD" or "Fusco gave us this bit of information, but he won't actually be around to help us, we'll just mention his name now and then to create the illusion he's still a main character".
I really hope they don't pull the same thing they did last season's final 3 episodes and leave him completely out of it. If there's a reason for Shaw to be there (I love Shaw, don't get me wrong), then there's a reason for Fusco.
I honestly hope Finch doesn't break his code of ethics--I mean if it saves her life, that's one thing, but this whole 'Finch going a little dark-side' thing seems like something they decided to tack on 2 episodes back to add more drama.
I love that they dare to push the characters over their limits, because they also willing to show what it means to them after. Not forgetting that this was an edited sequence (so eg. I'm absolutely not sure that John's smile is a reaction to what Finch said), I'm sure that making a decision to order other people's death is something which will have an effect on Harold and this is the kind of drama why I watch TV.
I'm fully expecting an "I told you so" from Reese about McCourt. Perhaps that realisation that Reese was right will factor in to his "if they harm her in any way, kill them all". And is he going to reveal himself to her?
I love Fusco too but he has limited use in this type of episodes. There's only so far he can go, as a cop, and without trying to be insulting, he's not really shaped for action.
Oh POI u tease us and go on a break not fair.!! We want POI every week...everyday if it was possible..the next epi. is gonna make way for badass finch!!
I do hope they get back to that conversation! Finch doubting his decision to let McCourt live is something I'd very much like to see. This episode is going to be very interesting, whatever happens!
I don't see Reese as the gloating type, but he may become unhinged once Finch gives the him the okay.
I've been waiting long enough to see John Reese unleashed... Even after Carter's death, he was held back by injuries and Finch reminding him about her moral compass. This time? All bets are off. Go get 'em, Mr. Reese!
Kevin, How hard is it to sit back and say NOTHING as the fans anxiously await and speculate the conclusion? Man....if it were me, the writers would have to duct tape me to a chair, in the middle of a large room, in an isolated location. The will power! You and Scarface are my husband's favorite characters. we both marveled at your performances in The Crossing and Devil's Share -- when you really got angry when choking the man and beating up Simmons. It looked so real. Bravo. You were so convincing. Hope your summer is enjoyable and relaxing.
Finch is at his "getting off" point (IMHO), but his getting off cannot mean an abandonment of Grace. If he is getting off, then Grace's safety and well-being must be secured, using any means necessary. I believe we have seen little of "angry" Finch -- all of the other characters have shown us their dark side. We did see a spark of what he is capable of doing in the episode with the 911 operator. He gave the man a choice between killing the operator or getting electrocuted. Finch's tipping point includes pain and punishment. John will react in the same manner as we have seen in the past, you don't mess with kids and innocent people. Many Happy Returns showed controlled rage, but I doubt that Vigilance or Decima followers will end up in a Mexican jail. His inability to save Jessica is an underlying call to action to save Grace. (I'm still move by the last scene when Finch told him that he was not in a position to save her and John was in China.) Sad. Shaw couldn't save Cole, but she can save Grace, her termination of Wilson shows that there is no holding back when civility is crossed. I just want to see Greer pay the price for his actions to destroy Harold.
Kevin Chapman said in an interview that he asked to be let out of filming early last season so he could do a project he'd committed to before signing onto POI, and that he's grateful that the showrunners allowed it as his friend who ran the project died unexpectedly shortly after that.
But Fusco is definitely in the finale from what I understand.
Here's the CTV promo for this episode. Would really appreciate it, if someone transcribes what Harold is saying at the end. Pretty difficult to understand (at least for me)
It is tough!!! I had to chime in and vaguely clarify my involvement here for the final 3 episodes just so no one worried that this was a repeat of last year where I was on the sidelines!! The Crossing and Devil's Share were definitely proof of what happens when you mess with the FUSCO!!!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteYES! YES!!! YES!!! "If they harm her, kill them all". And then John's smirk. This is already awesome
ReplyDeleteOh Dios Mio, Oh Dios Mio... ejem.. OMG, OMG.
ReplyDeleteThat will be the first order to kill Finch has given, if I remember rightly. These final three episodes are guaranteed to be absolutely incredible television
ReplyDeleteI'm forever grateful for being in a world where Michael Emerson exists. Bring on the Ben mode, Harold!
ReplyDeleteGetting darker, I tell ya.

It's working.

ReplyDeleteDon't worry I am in the episode
ReplyDeleteHe's working with Reese in securing Grace.

ReplyDeleteI've been waiting for more Ben in Finch since the beginning of the show :)
ReplyDeleteKill 'em all.
That would make the Machine Harold's personal Smoke Monster.
ReplyDeletehahaha :D so John would be... Richard Alpert? And Fusco... Mr Friendly? :)
ReplyDeleteFusco's totally Mr. Friendly. Does that mean Samaritan's Jacob?
ReplyDeleteaha, tényleg, nyomj egy refresh-t és menni fog :)
ReplyDeleteOk, but who is Greer then? The Mother? XD I'd rather see Greer as Widmore and Samaritan... Dharma, of course! It really adds up :o
ReplyDeleteSamaritan's Dharma that Harold orders to be PURGED.

This promo is so good, the final episodes will be kick ass.
ReplyDeleteTuesday is so far away... :(
ReplyDeleteKevin was working on a movie I believe at the end of last season. This will be great, and I hope Kevin is in a lot of scenes.

Expect these breaks every year. That's unfortunately how the spring half of the season always works.
ReplyDeleteExactly!... I hope it doesn't end in purgatory.
