Bradley Whitford is returning to his dramatic roots for a guest spot on Law & Order: SVU, TVGuide.com has learned.
The West Wing alum, who currently stars on the ABC comedy Trophy Wife, will play renowned television producer Frank Maddox, one-half of an estranged couple embroiled in a bitter divorce. And who will Whitford be facing off against in that battle? As first reported by TVLine, Under the Dome alum Samantha Mathis has been cast as Whitford's wife, actress Catherine Summers.
The episode is titled "Reasonable Doubt" and sees Frank accused of molesting their eight-year-old daughter. However, Catherine refuses to cooperate in the investigation, which leads the squad to suspect the accusations were fabricated to curry public favor in the media. Things get even more complicated when Catherine's younger sister Rose (Dallas' Emma Bell) becomes engaged to Frank. Ousted Today show co-anchor Ann Curry and Geraldo Rivera will also appear in the episodes as themselves.

Just reading this sounds ridiculous, and i wish to hell they would stop saying ousted Today show co host ,blah blah...Ann doesn't deserve that hanging around her neck for the rest of her life.
ReplyDeleteAgree with you to some extent but I do love Whitford & Mathis so it can still be good. (And is it just me or are there some Woody Allen/Mia Farrow vibes here?!)
ReplyDeleteI love Whitford also. He was fabulous in The West Wing, tried T Wife but didn't like it and SUV is long in the tooth....or maybe i am,lol!
ReplyDeleteMost def Woody/Mia going on! Good catch!
Agree! He was awesome on TWW. I actually like T Wife tho, which is surprising cause I rarely like comedys. Let's keep our fingers crossed he's brilliant on SVU ;)
