  1. I only just made the connection between Gary Cole being on The Good Wife and Veep!

  2. TVD: Delena put to the test? Good. Maybe they'll fight so much over who to save that it'll separate them for good. I'm tired of watching that.

True Blood: I don't understand the significance of Tara's past. We've seen her tormented by her drunk mother, and now we have to look at her drunk father? I think the show could find a better use of screen time. I thought the final season was supposed to be about Tara and her mother growing closer together. Now it looks like a new backstory is being brought up when there isn't a way to get closure on it.

  3. That was my thought exactly about True Blood. We already know she was abused. It doesn't seem like we really need to see more of it.

  4. That Arrow stuff from Willa Holland makes me cringe. It brings out the paranoid pessimist in me. If they're bringing back Merlyn to further wreck Thea's relationship with Oliver I'm going to be pissed. I don't want another Tommy situation. The idea of Thea resenting Oliver and getting close to Malcolm makes me physically ill. Now I'm just waiting for Thea to lash out at Ollie and tell him that she wishes he had died on that island because, just like Tommy, she'll end up blaming Oliver for everything that's bad in her life. Ugh.

  5. Arrow has been really disappointing in the second half of S2. They seem stuck in the same handful of plots.

  6. While I think there have been some really good character moments and progression in the back half of this season, I agree that the more or less singularly focused aspect of the latter half of season two has disappointed me as well. The plot repetition, lack of variety (I was enjoying things more when there was a bad guy of the week), and the consistently bleak tone of the show (it's getting a bit too depressing for a superhero show) has tapered my enthusiasm for Arrow over the last few months. It also makes makes me a little uneasy about what's in store for season three.
