It doesn't sound like Ali Larter is interested in returning to her former franchise. Zap2it spoke with Larter while she was promoting her upcoming TNT series "Legends" at WonderCon Anaheim 2014, and she seemed very hands-off with "Heroes Reborn."
"When I saw that, I was like, 'Wow! Great!' I'm super happy for [creator Tim Kring], and if that's what he wants to do I think that's fantastic," Larter says of the announcement. "I haven't talked to the rest of the cast. I don't even think it's written yet, so I don't even know what they're going to do with it. I just know that my face was splashed all over, and I got about a thousand calls from it.
"It was an amazing time in my life. The first season of the show will forever be one of the best times I've ever had. It was just a really special time. For that, I hope that it work out well for them, and I wish them only the best."

Pity, Ali's different characters were my favorite in the show and her storyline was the most intriguing.
ReplyDeleteI'm not too sad about that. I think killing off Nikki was a big mistake. It just wasn't the same with her other characters.
ReplyDeleteI was really looking forward to her maybe coming back. I loved Nikki, and grew to really like Tracey in the very average but decent fourth season, but reading this, I feel, she like us, was disappointed in how they handled her after season one.
ReplyDeleteLets be honest none of the original cast are going to come back unless they really need the work and I don't blame them.
ReplyDeleteThen it wouldn't make sense to revive the Heroes brand if none of the old characters are coming back. They could have created a whole new show. I know it's unlikely to have all of the old cast back and it's not bad to have some new characters but with an all new cast it wouldn't be Heroes.
ReplyDeleteTell it to NBC/Kring but really the way the show was left I can't imagine any of the main lot coming back maybe some of the newer characters from S3/S4.
ReplyDeleteWell., i kind of figured that. I mean c'mon Ali's been doing movie after movie after movie. And now she's got a tv series. I really didn't see her returning. I don't see ANY of the original cast returning. Maybe making cameos here and there but that's it. TBH, the only one from the Original cast, i'd like to return is Micah.
ReplyDeleteThe Heroes premise applies to any ordinary person with extraordinary powers... not just the Heroes we saw on the original series. The name and brand still works perfectly.

If there is no Nikki, there is no reason to bring her back.

ReplyDeleteWell, I'm personally viewing this new show as some sort of spin off/reboot. So the same universe, just different characters. Maybe some characters from the original could appear, but it's better if they start fresh. :)

ReplyDeleteI dont know how you guy's are getting that out of what she said. No one has been approached yet to our knowledge. She said nothing about not being interested, just that she didn't see coming.
ReplyDeleteWhat's with all these articles with headlines saying '*insert name* isn't interested', and then when you read them it actually says nothing of the sort? All that we know is that no one has been approached yet.
ReplyDeleteAlso, to those saying none of the original cast would be interested - look on twitter. From that alone you can see Greg and Jack are clearly interested in coming back.
