“Part of his mission going forward is to figure that out,” Tancharoen says. “Coulson’s life has been defined by this organization that fell to pieces, so what happens to the company man when the company goes away?
“May asked him, ‘What are we going to do now?’ and he says, ‘Survive”– and survival is a big part of it,” the EP continues. “But there may also be a personal need to take down Garrett” aka The Clairvoyant, played by Bill Paxton. Even worse for all and known to none, is the fact that Agent Ward is playing for the other side. “There will be some tension to play, having this snake in the grass.”
So, Ward is a true turncoat? There’s no triple-agenting at play here? “You’ll learn a lot more” about his true agenda, exec producer Jed Whedon allows. “You’ll get a glimpse of a side of Ward we didn’t know was there.”

God, I need tonight's episode in my life. So excited!
ReplyDeleteThe May/Coulson split upsets me more than Ward being a traitor! I just want them to be friends again, sure they will by the end of the season.
ReplyDeleteMaybe that split is a fake-out, testing to see how people react to it.
ReplyDeleteI don't like the idea of bad Ward, if Triplett is going to replace him than it will be hard for me to watch that show...
ReplyDeleteI think Triplett's presence might be hard to watch for Fitz, hehe
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I think Ward's betrayal is genuine, but he might turn around at some point in the future. When he and Skye kissed I thought it was clear he was going to die, then I should have remembered how Angel changed after getting to happy with Buffy. Whedon show = happiness doesn't last much...
ReplyDeleteThe bad guy will be Triplett, I don't trust him, and Ward is working for Coulson. Triplett works for HYDRA and is with SHIELD, and Ward is working with HYDRA but loyal to SHIELD.
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering if all the Ward stuff is going to tie into his family - his brother, his dad (who is apparently some long-time SHIELD (or maybe HYDRA) agent, etc.
ReplyDeletewhere did you get that info about his dad?
ReplyDeleteSo, more proof that Ward is really evil.
ReplyDeleteNot buying the whole triple agente theory.
It's been mentioned on previous episodes
ReplyDeleteWhich ones? I'm a pretty obsessive watcher (that's also why I'm asking, because I'd be upset if there was something I missed ;) and I haven't seen any mention of Ward's father. Only his brothers.
