I'm just hoping the episode is somehow is a part of the greater mystery, with all the things that happen in Captain America, Im hoping that the forward momentum isn't set back in any way
Agreed!!!! (Still learning about how to comment on here and that was the best I could come up with because you all have said everything I was thinking!)
Yeah, I always wondered what the cellist woud be like, and now I get to find out, and with actress I like! so it doesn't get better tan that. Although I can't imagine she'll be very happy, past the initial reunion, considering let her believe he was dead and all...
Oh man there are so many little things that just don't add up about him and make him look shady. I don't think it was a coincidence that Ward's entry into Level 7 was the starting point in the series. During the pilot, when he was given the "truth serum", his face betrayed his fear at telling certain truths, but Skye likely didn't ask him any questions that betrayed his mission. Ward's unresolved emotions in "The Well" towards his brother indicate some sort of remaining feelings of helplessness and inadequacy. Now, if he still bears a lot of anger and resentment towards his brother, that might indicate that he's still under his brother's brutal grip; so maybe his older brother is at, and with the type of brutality that his brother displayed, he's still likely a cruel person, making him an excellent agent of HYDRA. And if Ward's family is as powerful as Triplett indicated, the whole family is probably rotten, and Ward got pulled into the family legacy. Also his relationship with Garrett is really suspicious. Even though Ward's on Coulson's team now, Garrett seems awful close to Ward (and let's be real Garrett was suspicious as hell last episode with his weird, ominous and vaguely threatening speech to Skye). Also, it's very convenient that they were dropping anvil sized hints that Ward has "feelings" for Skye in order to justify Ward's rage killing of the suspected Clairvoyant. But as Coulson points out, Ward shot him before they could find out if Thomas was more than a patsy. So BAM! They have their Clairvoyant, Coulson can be convinced that it's over.... but Skye realizes that the Clairvoyant has access to their records, so it's really not over. Sorry for the essay! This is a lot of speculation but after last week's episode, something just doesn't add up with Ward's actions. Now, I think Ward is feeling very guilty, and his affection for the Team is making him falter in his facade. And since May as "the mole" has been revealed too early, I believe she's a red herring before they reveal the real mole and all of the agents of HYDRA within SHIELD.
Yeah, those promo pictures are kind of a dead giveaway. I know promo pics can be misleading, but I'd really like to see a better explanation for Ward chilling with the bad crew.... I suppose we'll find out soon enough!

01x19 must be the Amy Acker episode, awesome love the title.
ReplyDeleteYes, and I think she's also slated to appear on episode 22. I'm really looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteShould be great, she is a great actress and I can't wait for the reunion with Coulson.
ReplyDeleteumm the title of 1x20 scares me

ReplyDeleteHmm yeah I think they may have a quick breather perhaps but I suspect the last 6 eps are going to be pretty crazy.
ReplyDeleteAgreed!!!! (Still learning about how to comment on here and that was the best I could come up with because you all have said everything I was thinking!)
ReplyDeleteYou just know there will be a betrayal.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love 1.19!
ReplyDeleteShe's in two episodes? i didn't know that.

ReplyDeleteI think "Nothing Personal" will reveal Ward as the traitor. After the events of Cap 2, you KNOW one of the group has to be.
ReplyDeleteWhy do you think it's Ward?
