Could be, but call me stupid or silly because I don't see him as a traitor yet. Likely the next week I'll have to admit I was wrong, but until then I'll keep thinking Ward is working undercover.
I really don't know what to believe about Ward's allegiance anymore. On the one hand, they're saying in interviews that he has always been HYDRA and going to great lengths to explain how everything he's done this season has been as a mole. On the other hand, there have been plenty of instances of actors and producers giving misleading, if not downright false information about their shows. And there's a lot that could hint at Ward pulling a triple cross... that knowing glance between Coulson and he before he leaves to escort Garrett to The Fridge, the fact that it seems OOC for Hand to have Garrett executed instead of interrogating him to find out whatever she can about HYDRA... and why would Ward wait to show his true colors until Hand conveniently asked him to shoot Garrett, anyway? Why not simply do it as soon as they were in the air? Maybe he's playing both sides somehow and isn't really SHIELD *or* HYDRA. Or maybe he was HYDRA at first and infiltrated SHIELD for them, but then "went native" and now he's doing the reverse.
I'm thinking Ward was programmed by Garrett when he was working with Garrett, that Garrett has placed control words out there to take control of those who once served under him.
Shield was infiltrated by Hydra, they are facing destruction and the fridge is basically their last safe, uncompromised location. They had direct orders from Hand.... they should follow protocol and not open the doors. Whats the worse that could happpen? Lose one good agend and the bad guy. If they open the door the worse that could happen is losing the control over the fridge and all the worse people Shield has ever locked away....
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
There is no way Ward in a through and through baddie.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry but I refuse to believe Ward is a traitor. I think he's working undercover and nothing I've seen makes me change my mind until now.
ReplyDeleteI love how Ward becoming evil equals a stubble. NOW we can truly see how dastardly he is.
ReplyDeleteI guess the Clairvoyant likes her.
ReplyDeleteIn their defence it was an extreme situation...
ReplyDeleteSo this scene made you change your mind.
ReplyDeleteIs it just me, or does Ward look sexier as a bad guy?
ReplyDeleteI just know Ward is still a good guy. I just hop Skye and Coulson got the memo.

ReplyDeleteAs long as that stubble sticks around, I'm game for Evil Ward. Rawr.
ReplyDeleteIt's the stubble. Major hotness going on right now.

I only think SHIELD needs somebody inside HYDRA and that guy is Ward. He is spy after all and one of the good ones.

ReplyDeleteya totally agree. He looks hot as a bad guy. But I definitely don't want him as that for long.
ReplyDeleteWhen you put it like that... xD
ReplyDeleteI didn't think it was established it was uninfiltrated
Oh okay. You just said "until now" and I thought that meant that this scene made you change your original perspective. thanks for clarifying :)
