You don’t have to be afraid of the dark anymore. Those Who Kill is moving to LMN TV (Lifetime Movie Network). Tune in this Sunday at 8/7c to re-live episodes 1 and 2. New episodes will premiere Sundays at 10/9c.
I find it very sad indeed that A&E feels that a show centered on a female co-lead needs to be aired on the female skewing Lifetime Movie Network!
I did find some issues in the second episode honestly, but I still do not understand the move to LMN. I cannot blame A&E completely though I guess since the show did not have great (or even good) ratings.
Obviously they didn't feel it had to be aired on LMN TV because they tried on A&E, but the viewers did. They give it a shot on A&E with a great lead-in, but the viewers simply did not take it when it was there.
What a shame! A&E did absoultely no promotion for the series & they wonder why the ratings were so low: No one knew about it! This show is something I really like & had I seen ads for it & would've had it on my To Watch list well in advance. I only mistakenly happened upon it after an episode of Bates Motel.
I don't think it's anything about gender. I think they're just trying to make lemonade from a big pile of lemons. The ratings aren't nearly good enough to keep it on A&E but the suits are probably thinking they can use the rest of this series to boost the profile of LMN while they burn-off the rest of the show.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Good! I liked the first two episodes and I was not ready to let go.
ReplyDeleteSo they are probably burning them off here unless they get great ratings..

ReplyDeleteI hope it does better here and they have time to polish a few things, but the material is there and it's good, I hope that doesn't go to waste.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know what this means for Canada? We don't get LMN TV. Will AE still play it here?
