  2. I honestly don't know if I want to watch this show without Rebekah, and I'm not the kind of person to throw a tantrum because my favourite character's left a show. I find it very hard to understand the other characters on the show and Rebekah was the one who was easily relatable, it feels like the show has probably lost its heart in Claire Holt.

I miss Rebekah but uh...yeah, Elijah; bad ass.
Still miss Rebekah, maybe she will appear in the finale!

  5. I guess as long as they don't know what to do with rebekah she better stay away. her "storyline" this season was a mess.

  6. CW and its need to have a party every few episodes. What is wrong with them? I will miss rebekah but I do love Klaus and Elijah faults and all. I still don't understand where this season is going and what this season finale is going to be.

  7. Me either, but this show is called The Originals. NOT The Original (Klaus) which is what this show will probably be by season three. The mom is dead the dad is a villain, Kol is dead and Claire Holt was obviously having doubts from day 1. The show has been great but we're supposed to be watching a show about a family. Two brothers are family of course, but still, this is a bad situation IMO.

  9. Looks great with Oliver and genevieve and even Diego, i missed him and his scenes with elijah.
Jackson is probably somewhere out there too.

  10. She could've at least stuck it out for an entire season, my money is on her being given a big opportunity. It's still pretty shitty to ditch the show so quick.

  12. It didn't look that much like they were celebrating. We saw in the 1919 flashbacks that Klaus was able to find peace amongst the different groups so he may be trying to do that again since Marcel destroyed that peace and had that curse put on the werewolves and started a feud with the witches. Since Klaus is planning on staying there he may want to try to get that back so this could be an attempt to try and start some sort of peace between all the different species - at least that's going to be my guess.

  13. In hind-sight I wonder if the reason they didn't get her any storyline other than working against Klaus/betraying him is that they knew that Claire had no plans to stick around long-term so they decided to write Rebekah out of the show so they had her spend the entire season plotting against Klaus (and what he was trying to accomplish) and then added the storyline that she had betrayed him to Mikael for Marcel (which was somewhat inconsistent with the flashbacks to the 20s we got on TVD when she was terrified of Mikael) so that she would leave town and pursue her own life. I actually think her storyline started back in Season 4 because even back in 4x18 she told Elijah that she wanted to live her own life away from him and Klaus and then she didn't want to go to NOLA so she ended up spending the summer with Matt.

  14. Probably, i am having hard time remembering when was the first time Rebekah and Klaus relationship started going south on TO.
i think she got pissed off that Rebekah's love life became a pathetic mess. Elijah has the "epic" Haylijah thing going on for him, Julie said Klaus love life won't be in the center of attention this season, but every plot literally revolves around him so Joseph has nothing to be bitter about.
I think Daniella Pineda leaving spurred Claire, if Daniella who has much less work done behind her shoulders managed to land lead on Cbs show then of course Claire thinks she can do better than play Marcel's pathetic girlfriend and occasinally be Klaus chewtoy.

  15. I think their relationship really started going downhill in Season 4 after Rebekah threw out Elena's blood so he couldn't make any more hybrids.

Rebekah has the worst taste in men. She seems to always be lusting after guys who don't actually care about her and she would give up everything to be with them but they always use and betray her and every time she's surprised when she should have seen it coming from a mile away. It does seem to be a habit with her - so I can sort of understand that after seeing that happen over and over again wanting to try to protect him from guys who are just using her. We've seen that since her character was introduced - she was acting like Stefan was some great love of her life in the very first episode she was in and when it's obvious that Stefan will never really love anyone who isn't an Amara doppelganger and has no problem at all betraying (or even killing) Rebekah. Even Marcel - it's been obvious to me from the beginning that he would never chose her and that all he really cares about is power and he proved that once again in the most recent episode. Marcel was exiled for the city - he could have tried to go off with Rebekah and start a life with her but it was more important to him to stay in NOLA and try and get himself killed even though there's nothing there for him anymore.

  16. I agree that it seems like Klaus is trying to broker peace among the different species again, since he and Elijah mention that in the promo. A party does seem like a good way to get the groups to socialize peacefully. I guess I'm not a fan of the promo seemingly showing the partying more than the peace-brokering, nor do I like the jump from Rebekah leaving them and the city, to having a party. It seems jarring to me. Thanks for the response and explanation.
