I'd think if they were going to cancel the series they would have said something by now. My guess is even with sagging ratings the network will give them a final final season to wrap up.
May Upfronts is where they confirm the schedule for the next TV season, and with it the cancellations. CBS's Upfront is May 14. We'll know (probably before) then.
The people that work for the Mentalist have no idea yet if the show will coming back or not. I guess we will just have to wait until May. I would even be happy if they would bring the show back as a summer replacement.
Blue birds, blue jays, love the title. Sure hope episode lives up to the previous blue episode, My Blue Heaven. I wanted emerald as a title too. If this does become a series finale, good title.
If TM has S7, it won't be on CBS, I'm guessing TNT will pick it up. CBS only has three empty hours (two comedies and two dramas). They have already given "Battle Creek" a series commitment, so that leaves one slot (NCIS: NO; CSI: Spinoff?) and HIMYD and one other spot. Of course, it could be available as spackle, but with TNF pushing Elementary to Monday, CBS lots of ways to fill an hour should another series fail.
Blue Bird - sounds a great title for a season finale = to me it says: freedom, moving on and being happy with life. We need a season 7 - Please renew the Mentalist.
Maybe the title doesn't exactly mean that this is the end. If we're go this way that the title is about Jisbon I think that the "blue bird" can be Jane, who can be ready to start new life. Finally he will take matters into his own hands and realize that he must move on. Maybe he finally will take his ring off?
There's no information about it is a final season or not, so we just have to wait and have hope that there's going to be one more season:)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Sigh. This saddens, yet excites me. Finale titles are the sign that the TV season is coming to an end :(
ReplyDeleteI wonder if I can change it to a series finale before it airs.
ReplyDeleteYou sure get around a lot, for a talking coat.

ReplyDeleteAs long as it's season finale and not series finale. Please renew the Mentalist.

ReplyDeleteIn Native American culture, animals have specific meanings. They attribute thebluebird to happiness, joy, and contentment.

ReplyDeletePlease renew The Mentalist! It's such an exceptional series, and Sunday would feel so empty without it :)

ReplyDeleteI don't actually watch The Mentalist. I meant, as I said, the TV season is coming to an end.
